Coming up on 50 on my (currently) DDDD and looking to give him some new life. My playstyle would by controllerish, usually on teams, but I'd like to have the option of damage too. Went Psychic this time around because I could see the confuse being handy... if I can get it slotted.
In the build below, I like where I'm headed, but even pre-i19 I'm going to be short on slots and only have 6 left. I'm 99% set on the powers I've selected (pre-41)... including keeping Blackstar
Would welcome comments, questions, etc. I'm not the best at IO'ing, so I'm sure there's much room for improvement.

One of the things I like about Hot Feet is I can just leave it on and it does its stuff.
I'll consider the Consume change, but since I will retire this character at 50, I don't imagine I will get much if any use out of Consume no matter how I slot it.
Thoughts on how things are going would be great. -
So I've been running this update for a bit, all slotted except for a couple of the Recharges, and I'm digging it for the most part. Playstyle-wise, however, I find I *really* miss Soul Tentacles.
Post-i19, assuming inherent fitness looks anything like I think it should it my head, I could definitely see borrowing a slot from Tar Patch and two from HT to give me the ability to 4-slot Tentacles with Enfeebled Operations, or if I pull a slot from Thugs and slot with an HO instead, going with 5 slots of Gravitational Anchor for some additional cheap-recharge and immob.

So, I've got a DM/NIN stalled at 47, just ran out of "fun" for him. But, looking to finish him up and may take him blueside for something different.
One thing I'm trying to do is keep it as "affordable" as possible based on what he already had. Would you consider a 3rd set of ToD in Shadow Maul acceptable to replace the Multi-Strike? He's already 6-slotted w/ 3 sets, figured I'd avoid changing this unless there's a reason you can think of? I relalize it won't make a huge $ difference, but sometimes every bit counts.

It is slightly unconventional in that I put 5 slots in Hasten in order to hit Perma-hasten. It is also a bit unconventional in that I took Hover, but Stalagmites requires that you be on the ground. But, I wanted perma-hasten and I had to have hover for concept. You could easily drop Hover and take O2 boost instead, and then use the 2 slots from Hasten somewhere else. I also went with the Fire Epic (Ice or Earth would be superior for Earth/Storm overall) because she is based on my old D&D sorceress, and so she has to have Fireball for concept.

Maybe it is because I started as a controller, but I see a lot of use in a targeted AOE hold (and much moreso than an immob, but that could be a playstyle thing as well). Sleep? Not so much and is dropable.
Respec'ing again isn't too much of a worry right now, as I have a few saved up, and they always give more. But, I wouldn't want to respec just to add a slot to one power, either.

Didn't change your powers, but I find Spirit Tree worthless (I'd take roots instead, or combat jumping since you don't have immob protection and add a -KB IO there) and I took the extra slots from Aid Other, you are not a healer. I don't see the need for range in Thorny darts but I kept it.
Couple of questions/notes along the way:
1) I put the range in Darts for a pull mechanism. Has always worked for me, but I'm not opposed to losing them.
2) I find a good bit of value in Aid Self, but I'm wondering if my Health Slotting should also change to (short term) 3 healths, then (long term) the numina/miracle combo?
3) 3 Slots for hasten seems to make sense to me and I dropped some off of aim, so wanted to see the general consensus. Is Aim considered still valuable post-changes?
4) If I'm not worried about reusing IO's, what could/should be different?

For me, I'd say the recharge path with Energize ready to fire makes sense. I've got 3 sets of ToD I can pull from a Stalker I just don't care to play anymore. Patron wise, I'd prefer to avoid Dark since I'm about Dark'd out with other characters, although I'm sure with a decent argument I could be convinced to reconsider.
Also, I'm a pet junkie. If there's a a way to work in the PPP pet, all the better. May not be practical, but I wanted to throw it out there. In re-analyzing some old builds of mine, I see where I took powers I just don't use so I could have the pet, so I don't want to brute force it in there.

I've got a level 28 (highest I've taken a brute ever) WM/Elec Brute going that I'm really enjoying, but I haven't had a lot of luck in finding information for a leveling build and a final build.
Does anyone have links they'd consider relevant for this combination? I'm happy to post my build for critique, but since I know I'm just making it up as I go right now (and having fun), I thought I'd try this approach first.

I've been discussing the build with a friend I run with, and it almost seems like 2 builds to serve my purposes... 1 for teaming and 1 for not. Would allow for the removal of tree, minimize slotting of Aid Self, etc... but maybe put something together with those powers as well.

As I've posted in a few other AT threads, I took about a 2 year break from the game and recently decided to come back. I've been revising a few of my 50's and I'd like to give this Dom a shot as well.
Here are my "goals":
- Self-Sufficient as possible (really prefer to have the ability to heal on the fly) as I solo and team play with any character I have
- Not uber-expensive, at least not right now (maybe 200-300m?). If this works nicely, will consider investing more if needed.
- Would like to keep a PPP Pet of some sort
- Not shooting for Perma, but would like for things to flow as naturally as possible
- Wouldn't mind working in Thorntrops, but didn't like Barrage when I had it b/c of the range of the power
I know a fair amount of the slotting is suspect. Truthfully I was close to taking a break at this point and "just wanted" to get him to 50.

I've been away about 1.5 years but recently returned to the game. I've got a 50 Sonic/Rad Corr that I enjoy, but I suspect he needs some changes as the game has evolved.
Here are a few notes I'd like to throw out there as part of a redo:
1) I find myself soloing a fair amount, but not exclusively, so I'm looking for fun + resiliency. I'm sure some of my slotting my be archaic. Be gentle.
2) I've tried to be as accurate as I can w/ my IO's. The level may be slightly different, but the IO's themselves are correct.
3) This is my best guess as to power levels and when they were taken. Seems right from memory, but might not be 100% correct. The overall build is correct though.
4) I'd love to have a another attack in the mix, but I don't know if it is possible. I'm not a mix/max guy, just want to have fun and survive.

1) Love the AE content thus far, but would like more to do. A fair chunk of missions seem to have a level 20 cap, which really limits my powers. Working a pistol attack into this range would be nice, but may not be ideal.

With Speed Boost, if I have spots later in the build, I'm happy to help people out more with more EndRec's. However, I just don't view it as a priority over making myself more capable. End mgmt hasn't been an issue typically with the groups I've fought with, so I feel this will be okay for now. I feel like Kinetics is really a more melee-friendly powerset, so most people get the Endboost Love from Transference as well.

Thanks for the comments, Syphon. Joules is already 33, so I was working Speed Boost in there to have it available, and less to have it available optimally. I typically am SK'd, rarely do I RSK (not that I'm opposed to it), so I don't think this will bite me too hard. I'm certainly open to moving it if there's a need. My only real "regret" in following Quason's V1 guide was not taking SS before SB.
Ideally, I'd like to have the option to be more solo-able, but don't feel like Joules has that ability much currently. I followed Quason's V1 guide through 32, and while I feel solid as a defender, I don't feel solid as an offensive tool (no matter the group level). I end up teaming a lot with some higher levels (49/50) in small groups, but I *rarely* run missions by myself anymore. However, this mentality was pre-FS, so perhaps things have changed.

I'm typically a team player, but I aspire for some degree of self-sufficiency as well. My current team tactic is something like this:
(while Stealthed and using SS)
run into middle of mob
drop stealth
Short Circuit
FS
Let the team clean up
One concern I have in choosing the leadership pool vs. concealment, and having Tactics instead of Stealth... will my strategy have to change? In switching to a 3d mindset, won't I have to be low enough for SC to hit the mobs, and thus be vulnerable to attack sooner? I'm not opposed to this, I just need to see what a good strategy would be.

I've yet to visit The Shard. There are certain maps now where I find myself frustrated by the lack of vertical movement tho', so I think Flight may become a necessity. Is Flight for the Shard used strictly for navigation? Or combat as well?
I'm just not sure how my strategy will look if I drop Stealth. It seems like such a valuable part of an Elec build.
