Quote:Yes, or more importantly the last mission in the Hero's Hero arc.Does the new change imply that you have to complete the entire arc to be awarded the badge(s)?
Quote:And how does that affect characters who already ran the new arc and old arc via Oro?
You'll keep the Statesman's Pal badge, but you'll have to redo the Hero's Epic arc to get the Positron's Pal badge. -

The parts are still being updated. I would think that more pictures will come when Issue 23 gets closer.

Samuel, think of it this way:
For the first few years, we the players were looking up to the NPCs for examples of Heroes and Villains.
From Issue 18 to 22, we're getting to the level that we're equal to the NPC heroes & Villains.
From this point on, we're becoming more of the focus of the story instead of being the sidekicks of the stories. -

Hey, we all know that marketing is evil and Dr. Aeon is a mad scientist.

Quote:I completely agree with the above statement. This did make me very sad that we effectively lost two old badges in order to gain these two new badges.
As above, Hero's Hero should award Statesman's Pal and have Statesman in the mission content - it's time travel, back to before Statesman died. Hero's Epic should award Positron's Pal and have Positron in the mission content.
Sister Psyche's ouro task force should award Sister Psyche's Comrade, and Penelope's task force should award Penelope's Friend, and *BOTH* Sister Psyche -and- Penelope should count toward TFC. Having either one should count as credit for that unlock. (Having both shouldn't do anything extra, mind.)
Quote:It should be possible to add a "Pal" badge that's unlocked with either Statesman's Pal or Positron's Pal, which is then used as the final one to unlock said accolade badge.
Sister Psyche's Comrade on the other hand is required for TF Commander. Yes, it is possible to add equal requirements for badges (ie. making TF Commander require either Sister Psyche's Comrade or the yin badge), but that requires a bit of coding time.
Quote:We don't care about the badge, we care about the superdickery behind the change. It's just shameful for company policy to be this way, it repeats very obvious mistakes of the past and it's just jerkish behaviour. There's no need for it. Removing the Statesman of the "here and now" is one thing. He died because Black Pebble suggested it and Dr. Aeon wants to kill off every major NPC in the game (except for his character). -
I personally budget and save up for the subscription. I set aside money every month that is reserved for entertainment. I'm far from well paying income, but I am able to afford that lump sum by exercising financial discipline.

Quote:I doubt that it would be in 10 days. There is too much to do yet.I23 is much light on content that I22 was.
There are no archetypes ajustments, no proliferation, no new powersets, barely any new thing for the store to test...
I guess I23 will be live for the 8th aniversary.
I actually doubt that we've actually seen everything Issue 23 will have yet in the beta. -
Quote:Zwillinger already said no to that:Maybe they'll do something hilarious, like add *those* to the Super Packs!

Quote:The point is that if you were here for 7-8 years, there is a good chance that you would have the loyalty pack (if you subscribed, not gone F2P).Then you completely MISS the whole slap-in-the-face to the person who's been with them for 7-8 years because, well, technically, you weren't here everyday from point A to point B in the last 6 months.
This is what I did, and I got the rewards. Seems simple enough. -
Quote:While I can understand why you'd want these, I do disagree with those suggesting that this shouldn't be a Tier 9 VIP reward. Will I be able to get them without spending real money... and use the tokens I will have saved by not purchasing items from Mecha?
Personally, I don't see it is fair that just because I didn't blow hundreds of dollars on points to move up the tree or subscribe like 3 years earlier I will have to spend money on these items that other VIPs didn't have to. This sounded so much less entitled in my head...
I've subscribed since 2005. I think that if you want the set, you will have choices to make: Subscribe, buy up the tree (which I disagree with to an extent), or wait for the undisclosed future means of getting the parts.
Oh, and I'll probably have to wait for a month or two to get the complete set because I don't have any spare Paragon Tokens at the moment, and I don't think I'll be buying points any time soon. -
Quote:No, it is like being told that if you shop at the store every day for 6 months, that you get a loyalty reward. It did not matter if you have been shopping at the store on and off for 7-8 years, only if you shopped every day during the promotional period.Normally "loyalty" is based in years or total dollar values spent by customers. This is just really poor management and should have been internalized a bit more. It's like a grocery store giving away a turkey for everyone who shopped last Saturday... sorry, ma'am - you've only been shopping here every Thursday for 6 years, so you get nothing.
The faulty reasoning you are trying to apply is completely self-serving nonsense.
Quote:I know a number of 5-6 year subscribers who've had small lapses here and there, and to pull something like this on them is not only a slap in their face, but a red flag for future management of the product.
Quote:Seven Years of Super Rewards
City of Heroes is about to celebrate its 7th year of super-powered adventures, and it wouldn't have been possible without the support and loyalty of our players. So this year we're offering a special bonus to our current customers.
All City of Heroes® players who maintain an active, uninterrupted account for the time period beginning February 1st, 2011 (12:01 a.m. EST / 5:01 a.m. GMT) and ending April 18th, 2011 (11:59 p.m. EST / 4:59 a.m. GMT) will receive a set of special rewards for their loyalty to Paragon City The Rogue Isles, or Praetoria.
Quote:Yikes. I don't even think it's worth arguing with this current crop of temp. developers. Can't wait for the next batch.
Contact Customer Support, either in game or on the website. -
Quote:Thanks for the update.I have an update regarding inconsistent dates for when your Paragon Point stipends are being awarded.
A fix was recently implemented so that for most VIP customers, Paragon Points should now be consistently awarded on your billing date. However, this fix may not apply in all cases, particularly if you were experiencing issues early on during the Freedom launch.
If you're still finding that the day you receive your stipend seems to be changing, please contact customer service, as they should now be able to permanently correct it for you.
It doesn't explain the rationale for not awarding the monthly Paragon Reward Tokens on the same date however.
It also doesn't explain the rationale for awarding the server transfer tokens on the 1st of the month either. -
Quote:If your account wasn't actively subscribed from the entire time December 1st, 2011 to March 31, you don't get the promotional items. If your account lapsed for less than 24 hours, but have subscribed otherwise during between those dates, you get the promotional items. My account has been active since Jan something 2012 since F2P was released. Does this mean I get crap? If so thx for screwing a 7year vet player off with another thing.
If you let your account lapse for the month of December, but resubscribed in January, you don't get the promotional items. The only person to blame for this is yourself, not the company.
By the way, Free to Play for this game was released in September 2011, not January 2012. -
From images in the beta section, they are fixed wings that fold when not in use.

Quote:Yes, the first picture is an attempt at a Gundam.Mecha Armor pic 1: "IT'S A GUNDAM!!"
Mecha Armor pic 2: EVA 02?
Yes, the second picture looks close to the EVA 02.
The 3rd one looks like it came from a Sentai Force/ Power Rangers show.
Quote:There's a rifle, pistol, claws (hand blades) and all swords option. (not sure if there's a mace or axe in there, sorry guys).
Moving forward, and ClockworkO1 can confirm this or correct me, all sword like objects will be built on the Titan Weapons measurements. This allows them to be easily scaled for use with all Sword types. -
Quote:Discussion: Salute to Statesman Loyalty Rewards on April 18th!Wait, when did we get those costume pieces? Did I get one? What category is this in?

I can't answer for Heal_n_Touch, but from a personal standpoint:
I think being billed for the game should include a direct download from the company. I also think that the company shouldn't use my bandwidth cap to pay for services that they should be providing itself as a part of my subscription money. In effect by using a mandatory P2P service, they would be double billing me. -
Quote:Did someone quit the ITF either during the mission or just before the mission? If so, that is a long standing bug.3. Missin # 3 Using conventional strategies we worked our way up through the valley taking out Generals and finished up by defeating Requeim and Romulus along with the Phallanx Controller. On two different occasions we spotted and defeated Augustus Romulus Nictus (EB).. we are up to 4 of him so far. Then the HUGE bug occurred. We got a mission complete and left the mission and then.............. IT repeated itself. We petitioned the GMs again and decided rather than standing around we'd begin the mission again. This time we went and took out Requeim, Romulus and the controller first and worked our way back taking out generals .. the GMs arrived as we were taking on the final general on the bridge. Still unsure if they assisted us or if we just got lucky the second time but we did finally get the fnal mission.
Quote:The BIG issue was the repeat of mission 3. The GMs responded fairly quick but as you can see our team was resourceful and wanted action as opposed to standing around doing nothing. I know the added EB versions of Rommi have been reported but I figured I'd just add them as further confirmation they problem still exists. Actually no one seemed to care about that anyway. it was just another EB we al got to defeat for added XP and INF. I would imagine the serious RPers would question how Rommi managed to heal and get back into action so quickly in Mission 3 where we actually battled him three times -
