Quote:Nope, grey-conning critters level 20 or over also drop tips. This is NOT a bug.Are the they -2 or higher to you? I believe you need to be able to receive a reward from the mob in question to get a tip ( IE Salvage, XP, Recip , Enh so on )
The ONLY critters that I've been able to find that can't drop tips is in the AE or under level 20. Underlings drop less than minions, who drop less than lts, who drop less than bosses. -
Quote:No, that isn't what I said. So, basically, I just have to dismiss all these Vigilante only Tips I keep getting when I just want to finish shifting alignment to Villain, then? That's massively annoying and a serious waste of time.
I said:
Those missions labelled as "vigilante" in the Isles progress you towards being a villain. They are villain tips in disguise, like Decepticons.Quote:you can't get good-vigilante tips (only missions moving you to villain status) in the Isles -
Quote:Basically you can't get good-vigilante tips (only missions moving you to villain status) in the Isles, or evil-rogue tips (only missions moving you to hero status) in Paragon.OK, I have a question. I've moved two Heroes to Vigilante status. Prior to shifting alignment, every Tip I received offered me the option to run it as Hero or Vigilante, as expected. Now that I have moved those two heroes to the Rogue Isles, planning on shifting them to Villain now, I am finding that Tips only offer me ONE morality option. Some are Villain and some are Vigilante, with no choice between the two.
Is that working as intended? I was under the impression that Tips always offered two options. -
Quote:It does. You can have 3-24 players in the same group, but it only counts as one attempt for the badge.this badge isn't that bad since sg badges count for everyone in sg, so if you have 24 people in sg participate in a CoP, it would only take about 4 CoP trials to get the badge, win or lose

Quote:By the way, this isn't what the original poster was asking for. They are offered as Veteran rewards, for the 12-month reward. If you've been even semi-active since your forum registration date you should have access to them. If not... stick around! Or shell out the $ for a box.
From http://www.cityofheroes.com/communit...one_loyal.html :
"When City of Heroes launched, there were several pre-order bonuses that players could obtain, but each player was limited to one of these special sprint powers on their account. Now, with the Veteran Rewards program, we give these bonuses to all players after one year of subscription." -
Quote:Sadly at this point you'll have to buy one of the CoH DVD editions out there (unused). The only other thing I can recommend is letting the Community Reps and Paragon Studios (especially the marketing division) know that you'd like an In Game Items pack for the CoH DVD edition goodies.I have the CoV Collector's edition but I'd like the power slide offered in the other collector's edition. I don't need/want the others, I just want a game code. The comics are not important to me, nor is anything else.
I can't see buying it for $45(Ebay)-$115(Amazon) when I already own the game, had to buy CoH, then CoV, the booster packs, then Going Rogue, the MAC Edition, etc. Can anyone help me find a serial I can buy/apply to my account?
I just have a character I'd like to use the power slide with. Thanks.

Quote:I suspect that is a bug as you don't even get the contact/alignment window until you train to level 20. If it was working for levels 1-19 there wouldn't need to be the restriction for critters to be level 20+ to drop tips.Something that I think should be in the guide is that it's possible to change sides before hitting level 20.
I know that I personally saw it repeated over and over that you have to be level 20 to chance sides, but it turns out that's not the case. You have to be over 20 to get the missions, but even before then, it turns out you can change sides - you just have to be grouped with people who can get and do the missions. (Also, since you don't have the tip UI, you can't tell how far you are along.)
My level 18 corrupter is a Rogue now

Quote:You are right, it was the Improved Energy Turret not the Igniter.this is not correct, the improved igniter is for defeating enemies with flamethrowers in sg mode see Improved Igniter Badge
After checking notes, you have to be in the mission as the trial ends win or lose and it doesn't have to be your group's CoP raid. Just starting the trial isn't enough. -
Quote:Outlaw - Might need to defeat 100-150 before progress bar shows. So, as a vigilante, I am not seeing progress bars for defeating PPD, vehicles, vault doors, heroes, or arsons.
Will these badges still award as a vigilante or must a full switch to villain be made?
Firebug - Should be showing after one.
Hero Slayer - Might need to defeat 1-2 before progress bar shows.
Impounder - Might need to defeat 10-15 vehicles before progress bar shows.
Safecracker - Should be showing after one.
Also you might not get a progress bar to show, but you should get the badge if you get the requirements. -
Quote:It is a group badge (not a character badge), requires 100 hours (100 CoP starts), and gives a meh base item that cannot be used as the base raiding system is off-line.So you only have to "attempt" the CoP to work on that badge?
I know some badges are easier to farm than others, but a badge with a requirement like that is almost ASKING to be farmed.
What would be the point?
Edit:
After checking notes, you have to be in the mission as the trial ends win or lose and it doesn't have to be your group's CoP raid. Just starting the trial isn't enough. -
Photobucket's thumbnails have "th_" before the actual file name.
Here is an example image with a thumbnail that links to a larger version:

Quote:It is now the morning of August 20, and still no word on when my pre-order will be available. I sure hope Black Pebble is paying attention to all the Gamestop threads. They didn't have either the promo items OR the game box even though I pre-ordered AND put down a $40 deposit -- in JUNE. GameStop Canada SUCKS.
You can't apply the same code to your account twice.Quote:I'm not saying that those of you waiting for an online pre-order should go this route, especially since you would be purchasing it twice. However, since GameStop has totally fragged this experience, and since you would be getting another included month of game time, it might not be a bad option -
Check if it awards when you fully switch to villains.
-
It was working in beta, are you sure your group did 10% damage (any damage he took and healed increases the amount needed).

Actually, as far as I know, the text is wrong. It is only attempts or group starts that count. Note that multiple players in the group doing the same CoP only counts as 1 attempt.
Edit:
After checking notes, you have to be in the mission as the trial ends win or lose and it doesn't have to be your group's CoP raid. Just starting the trial isn't enough. -
Blondeshell is currently working on it.

Quote:That was true for the last four years at least...Shadowhunter should no longer be required for Dimensional Warder. I believe we made that true when the new arcs were made.
Mother Mayhem was added to this badge this issue, Tyrant or Shadowhunter have never (to my knowledge) been needed.Quote:What arch villains do I need to defeat for the Dimensional Warder badge?
See this site: City Info Terminal's Dimensional Warder badge details
Only 13 of the 16 Praetorians are needed. They are: Anti-Matter, Chimera, Nightstar, Siege, Bobcat, Neuron, Battle Maiden, Black Swan, Malaise, Infernal, Diabolique, Dominatrix, & Marauder.
Edit:
And now I have to find my working file for the Dimensional Warder checklist. Still annoyed to need one thanks to no clues as to which EB/AVs have or have not been defeated. Maybe now that both heroes & villains can have the same amount of total badges, getting a defeat badge for each EB/AV could happen. -

Which flashback mission, exactly (Flashback name, contact, level range, side). What that message usually means is that a contact has wandered away from where it should be...

Quote:You should, yes.I have a Hero that I just did a heroic morality mission for and got Countdown to Justice. So does that mean in 7 days, I will get the Call to Justice power?
If you do a second hero morality mission, the countdown should be unaffected. However if you did a vigilante morality mission, you'd lose Countdown to Justice, and get the countdown to the fearsome (I can't remember what it is called at the moment) power.Quote:If so, what happens if before the 7 day wait is up, I do another Hero morality mission with this hero character? Do I lose the chance to get Call to Justice, and get a new Aligment power? Does going hero to hero, count as shifting morality as far as allignment powers go?
It isn't permanent. -
Quote:The exact same way as before. They only removed the hero-only and villain-only flags on those badges. All that means is that rogues and vigilantes (and a few villains and heroes) can get those badges before fully switching sides, nothing more.Hey Snow Globe,
I looked through everything you wrote a few times and WOW, Nice Job. I am a rookie badge collector and even though I looked through the guide I still got lost and I have a questions maybe someone can answer. When looking through the patch notes I found this:
Badges
Removed Hero/Villain Requirements from the following Badges:
Does anyone happen to know how we get them now?
Firebug
Hero Slayer
Impounder
Outlaw
Safecracker
Vandal
Swashbuckler
Arachnos Rising
Villain Disruptor
Thanx,
Soto
