Yes, and in Issue 20 you'll be able to hop into the new trials with the LFG function. With the LFG you'll be able to meet other players all working towards completion. The trials are challenging, but players are able to complete them. Especially on a server like Virtue.

Additionally, with the one server list (NA & EU servers all accessible), more players will likely be showing up soon.

The game needs more day job badges like Highlander needs sequels. Or Star Wars needs a Christmas special.

I got the following email after getting the reset:
The stupidity of using the IP Address is just asking for the system to get hacked. It actually makes it easier for someone with a smart phone to hack an account than a legitimate user using a fixed IP address.

This is because the MoApex and MoTM are not the same type of badge as the MoSTF, MoRSF, MoKhan, MoCuda, or the MoITF.

Group 1: The MoSTF, MoRSF, MoKhan, MoCuda, or the MoITF = Zero Temp powers, Zero defeats.

Group 2: MoApex and MoTM = Collect 3-4 badges associated with things in the TFm and they don't have to all be collected in the same run.

While I dislike the requirements on one of the badges (Midnight Dodger), I prefer Group 2 over Group 1.

For the record, I sent them all the info (master account name, real name, postal address, birthday, 16/17 serial codes attached to my account, UID, and the last 4 digits of the credit card used to start the account). I got the reset.

I promptly copied the information, as well as screenshots of my serial codes, to a secure thumbdrive with a encrypted hidden partition that I don't keep around my computer.

If anyone else manages to find the thumbdrive, extract the password, and find the appropriate files, then I say they deserve the information as there is nothing I can do to protect myself from them.

I'm paranoid about my security, but at this point this has gone beyond "reasonable". This WILL affect my decision when my renewal comes up as to IF I want to renew or find a new game company that wants my money. At this point, I don't feel that NCsoft really does want my money.

Black Pebble, Avatea, and Beastyle, please let the management at NCsoft know that the NCsoft brand is now forever tainted in my eyes due to this incident. Instead of inspiring trust, this fiasco has robbed all trust I had towards NCsoft.

The captcha is likely issuing false negatives. While players might actually be entering correct information, the captcha is likely falsely claiming that incorrect information is being sent. This leads me to think that the web programmers are not doing their jobs in making sure of that.

Yeah, I recorded my password. I just did it in a secure method. A MORE secure method than NCsoft could ever hope for. Unless the snoop had physical access to the thumbdrive, the access code for the encrypted partition, and desire to go through all that hassle just to get at my game account, I think I'm pretty safe. I don't even have to use a keyboard to copy the responses, so I don't have to worry about a key logger.

When he signed up for his account, he put in a password, but didn't put in any security questions. However he did put in a password hint line (not a security question).

It probably looked like this:

Enter a password: [_____________]
Re-enter your password: [_____________]
Enter a password hint: [_____________]

NOT THIS:

Enter a security question: [_____________]
Enter the answer to the security question: [_____________]

And what TerraDraconis is saying has happened is that the site is using the password hint field instead of the security question.

I can tell you that with my Ice/FF I'm pretty much soft capped in terms of defence with Personal Force Field. Fire, Ice, and AoE (the important stat) are at 92.8%. I can go through the warehouse bombs without worrying that I'll get killed. If I do get hit through the soft cap (and it does happen), I lose about 10% of my health through Personal Force Field and Dispersion Bubble.

The thing is that if one mine goes, the chances are good that 3-10 others will go off at the same time.

The best method I've seen is to defeat him under 1 minute, before the invisible critters start setting mines. It used to be possible to use things like Force Bubbles and pets to keep the mine critters away, but that has since been corrected.

Fighting on the platform is the only way for the drones to get killed. The War Walkers and clockwork are a triggered ambush on a random player, not the drones. While the Walkers might get stuck, they don't immediately fire on the drones as they much rather attack the players.

Even if they get stuck, it is possible to keep the drones alive despite getting attacked.

A single orbital lance will not kill a drone, even a deactivated one. I've watched and healed several -- this week. While I wouldn't suggest it, it IS possible to fight at the drones and get both the drone protecting badges. Good timing and plenty of heals will keep the drones safe.

Going up there doesn't fail. FIGHTING up there is likely to cause a drone to die. Sometimes due to pathing problems that is unavoidable, but there are ways to minimize the potential of drone death.

The people blaming you also fail to realize that you don't need to get every badge on a single run. So if they missed a badge, they can run Apex again to try again for that badge.

The mission will never advance if someone doesn't go up there.

You can use the NCsoft launcher to install the game, but using your disks should speed up the process (depending on how new the disks are).

Playing the game doesn't require access to your master account if you are currently an active subscriber.
