  1. Also going the buddy-cop route, but a semi-parody. Think Lethal Weapon with Max Payne narration voice-overs, and a dose of Jackie Chan circa 1985 Hong Kong physical comedy.

My partner is someone like this.

Me, I'll be something like Tony Jaa.

And the director of photography? I can't find the right video, but the guy who captured this in flight? He had an elaborate wire rig that let him fly and film the snake from the air.

That's right. No wires for me. Wires for the cameraman.
  2. The title of this is idiotic.

In the situation the OP describes, the gender of the account holder(s) has nothing to do with the right thing to do in the situation.

The right thing is, of course, communication. "Okay, I get the account, you get the coffee maker." Making sure that everything's clear about the breakup will help to make the transition easier.

If the account is now yours, do what you want with it. Just remember to change the password. If ownership of the account is still debated, don't delete your former SO's characters, because that's really a jerk move.
  3. The OP will be able to do it a lot cheaper, as long as they keep Storm Kick in their attack chain - 10% buff to all defense types is a nice bonus.
  4. Invincibility is the power you're looking for.

    Also, take Tough.

There's seriously six marines in my bedroom right now, and I have to cook them dinner.

Same way Marines vs. the Roman Empire is.

    Barbarian Set

I'm rather disappointed that females didn't get the male belt as an option.

I do like the Barbarian sword - would love to see it ported to Dual Blades.

So, you linked us to a piece of legislation that died in committee and was never voted on?

Hate to tell you this, but that's no law.

No, they say that, by agreeing to the EULA, you stating that you ARE sane.

If you aren't, well... you lied, how were they supposed to know? They were acting in good faith on your agreement to the EULA, and your assertion that you are sane.

So, when you go into massive addiction to the game and lose the borders between fantasy and reality, it's not their fault. And you can't sue them over it.

    Simple.

I dunno sometimes I think I must be mad, since I don't have a psychologist report stating I'm sane, can I prove that I'm fit enough to agree to the EULA? Will Paragon pay for an evaulation?
That isn't even close to the way that works.

I'd just like to point out that the phrase 'civil rights' is being grossly misapplied here.

They actually redid a fair bit of the animation in the second and third movies, after the first was a hit. It was 30% of the second film and 70% of the third that were original animation, according to the little book that came with my DVD box set. The rest was taken from the show as it aired.

The notion that Cortez was seen as a god is a bit controversial, specifically because the only source for that bit of information seems to be Cortez. But it does not appear to have been a determining factor in any case.
To be fair, the Inca did ask themselves if Pizarro and his men were gods - before deciding the answer was no. And that was before any major battles were fought.
  14. I should break out my DVDs one of these weekends. Thanks for the reminder.

People could become gods or were gods or were sons and daughters of gods. Not to mention their outlook on life and the afterlife was different as well. All Romans went to the same place. If you died courageously or some such you got to go to Elysium which was just a separate area of the same place.
It's exactly like all those other times the Romans declared war on supernatural beings and sent a couple of legions after them.

Take influenza for example, there are hundreds of different strains of influenza running around now and they have to guess as to which version to innoculate people against every year. None of these versions even vaguely match the versions that would have been running around Rome at the time.
Yeah, but the Marines carry antibiotics, and the strains that would exist in the Roman world would not be resistant. Doesn't do anything for viruses, of course, but having modern sanitation, treated water and antibiotics would mean that the advantage in disease resistance is definitely in the Marine's favor. Having access to Navy corpsmen who know a thing or two about modern medicine isn't a bad thing, either.

This will result in finding out what the truth is and some having their entire world view completely rewritten. How this would play out would have a big impact on the morale of the Marines.
I thought the Marines were being dropped in around 24 BC - which means they'd have roughly 18 to 19 years before it could be an issue.

And the point of Cowboy Bebop is not the story arc; it's the character arcs.

How, exactly, are you dropping an entire MEU on Rome without the resources to establish a beachhead? If you've got all those marines and equipment assembled in one place (no small logistical feat), and they're going through the portal device on purpose, they're going to take as much fuel and ammunition with them as they can. If you're having the ships carrying the MEU randomly hopping through the portal, they'll still have enough.

If the Marines stay in one place, sure.

I was assuming that they'd start moving immediately and roll some tanks down the streets in Rome within a week.

I'm sorry, I just don't see how the Romans can take out a tank, especially one deployed with an infantry screen.

I won't assume that the Romans will be cowed, and I won't assume infinite ammo. I will assume that they're bringing roughly fifty tons of ammunition with them, though.

    Tanks.

    Mortars.

    Helicopters.

They're walling in the marines how?

Each episode was pretty much stand-alone with no overall plot until the very end of the series. The entire show was literally filled with "filler" episodes.
    It has style. In spades.
