Here is my attempt at Electro Chicken.
It was a quick sketch.

Nice, very nice. I don't get why everyone wants to eat me though. A thousand "thank you"s to the artist.

You are welcome. -

Tears are mysterious things. Much like curious kittens, they can be troublesome, embarrassing, and leave you constantly reaching for tissues, but when all is said and done, you are glad that they were there.
((How's that?))

nice. very nice.

I am a decent writer, but by no means would I rank that as one of my better talents. I would prefer to read something as opposed to write something.
But since I have read all thirteen unfortunate books in the series, I will have to go read your fan fiction, Marcian. I really enjoyed them, tears and all. And the word tears here mean that at parts of the books I cried with sorrow and other I cried with laughter (ok that was a bad attempt). But you will have to give me some time because at the moment I am busy trying to finish a digital painting (a Self Portrait) for my Digital Painting class at school. And between work, school and homework time is short. -

Many artists take critiques very well...others do not. Best rule of thumb, if the artist has not solicited for advice and critiques...do not give them.
[/ QUOTE ]
Very wise advice.
I, however, am always open to accepting critiques.
The Elfwood community which I belong to (link in my sig) was built around critiquing each other's work to help amateur artists improve. That was my first online art experience, and I totally expect and appreciate it.
All I ask is that you be tactful.
Don't say something like "That arm is all wrong and messes up the piece." Say something more along the lines of "The elbow on that arm is wider than on the other arm, you may want to slim it down a tad."
I say if you're specific about what bothers you, it's very helpful. But if you're just gonna trash a piece because something about it irks you, then just bite your tongue.
Also, if there are multiple things that are bugging you, just choose the most bothersome one to point out. But still, be specific about it. It's easier for an artist to focus on one portion of a picture at a time, and if they are still practicing, it's good to focus on one section of their work for improvement as they continue to practice.
Also keep in mind that just because you may not like a style of a person's work does not mean it is a bad piece. It just means you don't like that style. And pointing that out will do nothing to help anyone.
But yeah, to anyone and everyone; tell me what I'm doing wrong, please. Just, y'know, politely.

I was going to write something, but Aerones said it better than I could have. So, I am just going to quote him and say that I agree 100%. -

Teldon, I am glad you liked it.
I may start doing more random stuff like this in the future when I only have a few minutes to spare, so everyone be on the lookout for random fan art
Besides, this will be great practice for my Figure Structure and Digital Painting classes at school. -
Well, I had a few minutes and so I decided to try a quick sketch and Teldon's character was the first one I stumbled upon and so I tried to draw it. Anyway, this was like a 30 minute sketch, so I am sorry that it isn't better.

I was so happy with the story that Tundara did for my character, Freddy Sunshine, that I decided to do a painting depicting a scene from it.
So, here is the rough sketch for Freddy and Amphora.
My comments concerning it can be found on my DA page using the link above. -
I have been considering opening for commissions, but my queue would have to be tiny because of school work and real work.
On that note, I need to get hooked up with City of Artists. -

Neat-O idea Dirtwolf! Well I just got this: Tundara Victorious by The_SlaveDawg as part of an art trade. I really love it and I hope he doesn't mind if it goes in the scoop, assuming you use it of course.

I don't mind, and would actually be flattered to have it featured in the Scoop. -
Oh my!
That was...
Ummm...
lol...
Oh hell yeah!!! That was freaking awesome!
Tundara, thank you so much! I really, really enjoyed it. You do have a way with words... just beautiful. And I love how you explained the Claws and his Darkness abilities.

I may have to get that simplified comics book by Chris Hart. I have his Extreme Anatomy and Extreme Comic books and so far I am liking what I see. But I think the simplified would be more my style.

Well, I'm done my story for the art trade. It took a little longer then I anticipated. All told it comes in at a lovely 24.4 pages long (Double Spaced) I'm of course really proud of it and I hope Dawg likes it. I'd post it, but I'm not sure on protocol on trades and all that, so I'm going to wait to hear back from him first before I do anything.

You have my complete support if you want to post it. I think art should be shared and not stored away on my hard drive where only a I get to see it. Besides, I would be willing to bet that there are a lot of people that would love to read it.
So, please (with my blessings) share it. And who knows, someone else may like it so much they will want you to do one for them -
I VOTED!

I just call it 'Cartoon'.And I'd love Tundy in that style. *hint hint* >_> ... <_< Too on the nose? O_o Okay, maybe next art trade! =^_^=
[/ QUOTE ]
Wait! Does that mean you don't like the piece I did for you?
Awe, and I thought that I had done a good job making it look cartoony... maybe I should just stick to customer service and avoid art.

Nu nu nu nu nu! That's not what I meant at all! I love your piece Dawg! =O_O=b!!!
[/ QUOTE ]
I know, I was just joking with you.
But it is sometimes hard to express stuff with only a few smily faces to show if it is a joke or not (which are easily missed or interpreted incorrectly). -

The work looks vector based with accents and highlights added in PhotoShop.
I think the style is called cell shading, but with most things I am probably wrong
