In the name of Gender Equality, the gunslinger pack should contain:
Cool cowboy costume pieces for male (and huge) characters.
Saloon singer costume pieces for females
Cool cowboy costume pieces for females
I don't think equality is the right word, but I agree. -
Doesn't have to be Imperious. It could be Tyrant. Or Reichsmann. Or Statesmandy from Cheerleader Earth.

Quote:That's what you get for being late to the partyThanks Tony. Wishing I could go for 12 months but alas, I appear to be part of the red headed stepson group that only has "6 month plan" option available... meh, better than a poke in the eye with a blunt spoon I guess.

Quote:Plus, one of these is such an obvious Loyalist mole.As someone in the beta forums put it, the Resistance leadership is now in the hands of:
- someone whose judgement is so poor she actually thought Mother Cleavage (sic) was a force for good
- someone who has pretended to be off her rocker for so long she is now, actually, off her rocker
- someone who can't figure out how pants work

Quote:I'd like to take whoever designed First Ward, tie them to a chair, and force them to play through it all on a stalker. And then make them do it again!I knew it would be a pain on a Stalker going in, just because a lot of things in Praetoria are. That's the way the place was designed... But about half-way through the early arcs I seriously began to wonder if a Stalker had ganked Protean's puppy as a child or what. There's 'Hostile to Stalkers' and then there's 'Let's see just how useless we can make you, you sneaky jerks!', and whole swaths of First Ward fall solidly under that second heading.
It's not just the see-through-hide (sometimes multi-)boss ambushes. It's also all the missions where you have to escort someone who can't see through stealth through a full, hostile building.
Or the ghost things that are, literally, designed to be immune to assassin strike. All in all, First Ward is designed by someone who either really hate stalkers, or who has no idea stalkers exist. I don't know which is worse.
Looking forward to the DA revamp. -

Quote:I hope the DA revamp will be a lot less "lolstalker" than First Ward. When even the mission writers goes out of their way to make your life as annoying as possible, it kinda cuts into the fun of it.Just wanted to say that i VERY MUCH enjoyed all the story arcs in first ward. Its been the most fun ive had in this game in a long time. I was actually sad when the story came to an end, like the end of a good book. Very well done!!
I hope the DA revamp will be equally as epic. -
Quote:The Rogue Isles are recognized by the UN, and are are significant producer of bauxite. I think it's a bit of a stretch to say they are entirely without friends.Unfortunately, since the Rogue Isles are not a member of any international political or trading bloc (UN, OPEC, etc.), they have no one to appeal to in order to protect their sovereignty. Were the Rogue Isles a member nation of the United Nations, for example, they could appeal to that body to impose sanctions on the United States for their unprovoked incursion.
Lord Recluse may decline help because he's all about anarchy and survival of the fittest. But that doesn't mean that Longbow has proven themselves as anything but an international terrorist conspiracy. No matter how many allies the Rogue Isles may or may not have. -
Dark Control T9 is apparently so awesome that it requires an unveiling all of it's own.
I'm still rooting for Black Hole.
I don't know if they went into details on Dark Assault. I got tired of the choppy ustream and decided to watch it later - and of course, that part didn't get recorded. -
I had some delicious fried chicken with whole-grain fettuccine and parmesan cheese for dinner. Yum!
-
Yup. Longbow got their grubby little mitts on Fort Darwin. I'm pretty sure that a private mercenary company invading a sovereign nation is pretty illegal, but never mind, they're heroes!

Quote:A valuable life lesson! Real Life is just like Recluse's Victory. You think there's something interesting out there, but it's really just a PvP environment. You need to disabuse them of this notion and FAST.
Recluse's Victory is interesting, to be sure, but it's also a PvP environment. That can be a bit harsh of an experience for a youth. -

Quote:Well. That explains why I am still paying in USD. I'm not complaining.Nope they're still quite different - when I reactivated my EU account (pre freedom), I used a US 'welcome back code' thinking we were all one big happy family now. It broke my account; it was active but I couldn't buy anything in the store (just when all the boosters were on sale), it took support a week to work out what the heck I'd done as from their end there didn't seem to be a problem.

Quote:There's a difference between doing villain content because you decided to turn your hero into a villain, and having to do heroesque content as a villain if you want to do any content from this decade.Oddly enough, when Going Rogue went live, my badge-collecting hero switched sides and ran the various missions/arcs to get the redside badges. And yet to this day I've never ever ever never ever felt the need to whine on the forums about how the devs were persecuting me by making me do villain content to get my shines. Go figure!
-
Praetoria also did it well, actually, with loyalists and resistance infiltrating eachother left and right. Want me to do heroic content? Well, fine. Let me go undercover as a hero and give me the option to sabotage something down the line.

Quote:Pretty much this.I only want to force heroes to do morally questionable things if the alternative is making villains play hero tag-along. If heroic and villainous content were equal I would have no interest in making heroes do anything dark.
I don't really want to make blue-side players suffer (at least not OOCly). We do have some in-game examples of well-made villain content. And of course it's possible to add both credible villainous and heroic angles to co-op content (such as Kitsune's ideas).
It just that they haven't made much of an effort at this point. -
It weirds me out that there is still a difference between US and EU accounts. I thought we were one big happ -- disgruntled family!
