Casatanic are the elfies with horns? No, that's the one I didn't roll. Actually I rolled a human, a high elf and an, uhm, the big stone-like ones. Aman I think. The high elf and Aman outfits were ridiculous. The human I don't remember. I don't think my human gal wore heavy armour, so her outfit might not have been as revealing (ironically).

Seemed like a well-crafted game though, platemail thongs aside.

Last I heard, THQ ran out of money and turned WH40k Online into a single player game. I'm sure it'll be fantastic. *cough*

"They" would be Zwill, not NCSoft.

My subscription expires in March. And I have 4,000 points to my name (I was saving up for something). I don't really care about the sub, but I wish I could spend the points.

I tried TERA for a seven-day trial. Then my berserker got her first armour upgrade and I was like... no. I can't do this, it's just too silly.

    Sorry!
  6. I'm hoping The Secret World will live long enough to become a new home for me, but it's only two months old so it's way too early to tell. That game has received an uncanny amount of, largely unjust, negative attention. Which makes me sad.

Fantastic news! I can recommend Arcadia (not that "server" selection really matters).

    Why you little..!

Thanks for letting us know! I had been wondering. Good to know you didn't leave us!

Now I just have to figure out why I never see Lady_Sadako around any more.

    Not Goodbye

My favourite bug was when they were testing the server transfer mechanic, by opening up a second test server.

There was this tiny issue, that when you transferred your character, you got flagged as a developer. That was quite fun (it was also our first taste of "side switching", since you could teleport yourself anywhere. I remember Lady Sadako freaking out about my Dominator walking up to her and saying "HI!" in Icon)
  13. I couldn't even bring myself to go to the forums this weekend. All those posts saying goodbye. It's just too much.

But now that I'm here, I just wanted to say thank you Positron, for all you've done for and with this game. Our game. It's been an honour playing in your campaign.

I think my best memory of Positron, in-game, was an event in Pocket-D back in... oh, I don't know. Ages ago. A couple of Devs were there in-game, including Positron. And I was there, as my shiny rad/rad defender (I don't remember if this was before or after rerolling him as a corruptor) Anti-matter.

    *ahem*

Yeah. See, I'm horrible at ever finishing anything, and I have a severe case of altitis, so I'd never actually reached level 50 with any of my characters at that time (today, after eight years, I think I have three 50s total). So I didn't know anything about the praetorians, but I couldn't help notice that Positron kept hanging out near me and checking out my costume. So, I was like "uhm, hi". Then someone told me about the 'real' Anti-Matter. Yikes!

I actually petitioned myself that night, and got a response from support a few hours later, basically saying "nah, you're fine."

This was long before name change tokens had ever been implemented. The character still exists. He was my first character back in 2004, whom I rerolled back in, oh, 2006 as a rad/rad corruptor. While I was allowed to keep the Antimatter name, it grated on me and I eventually chipped in for a name change.

Today he's Radium Rex. And level 35.

Maybe I should finish up a few more of my characters before it's too late. If I can bring myself to play.

I've heard a rumour that international man of mystery and part time supermodel / professor of archaeology, Troy Hickman play this game.

    That was hilarious.

The Forum Cartel chat channel still exists in-game, though it's mostly me and Pep Cat in there these days.
  16. I think I'm already in that group. If not, my handle is the same as here: Slaunyeh.
  17. Guys, you're the best. This has been my sole go-to forum for all geekdom news. I will miss knowing what the hell goes on in the world.

Hear hear. Another TSW'er reporting in. I'm also (guiltily, now, thanks stupid NCSoft) playing a bit of GW2, but I'm trapped on a EU server. Augh!

TSW is fantastic and needs a lot more attention than it's currently getting though!

I agree with this. While Indy4 might deserve a spot on the list, it should be nowhere near the number one spot.

(As an aside, it really should be Indy 5. Indy 4 is, and will always be, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis )

  21. I was just going to mention Brisco County Jr.!
  22. I don't know if it's been brought up before, but I also disliked how Gotham City went from being this cool gothic take on NYC, to being panoramic shots of Manhattan.

Sure, I get it, the Harvey Dent Act magically cleaned up all crime, but surely they didn't tear down every building sporting a bit of gothic architecture. That would be a crime!

For what it's worth, I've wanted a "power armor" type AT since, roughly, 2004. And given how Crab Spiders are pretty much exactly that (except, you know, awfully specific in concept) so I wouldn't say a blast/armor kind of AT would be entirely unreasonable.

Obviously it shouldn't have blaster numbers for attacks and tanker numbers for defense. But that's what we have number-guys for.

We already have several examples in game, so I still think it's entirely doable!

So, I'm a bit late to the party, but this pretty much sums up my feelings about the movie. It was pretty good, but it wasn't fantastic like the first two. It seemed long and oddly paced. It was really hard to keep track of when it was 'next day' and when it was 'oh yeah, a month later'.

And, booty aside, I'm not sure what Catwoman (is it even accurate to call her that?) was even doing there. She just kinda showed up, did some stuff and married Bruce. I felt a lot more could have been spend on developing her as a character.
