I'm with but not married to Braije, much to my dismay. We have a 4yr old son who's name really IS Braije *named after the nordic god of music and poetry* Uhm I'm 5'3 but you can't tell in my COH Faces photo. This is my first MMO aside from dorking out at D&D years ago. I played at COH launch, ex boyfriend stole my account. Came back about 3 years ago. Braije stole THAT acct. ha ha and now I finally have my own thats about 2 years old. Southern belle born in Charleston, SC but now reside in Gloomy I mean Columbus Indiana bout 45 mins outside of Indy. Anything else just ask. I'm pretty much the same in game as I am outside.

I joined the leagues as a non-skilled pvper....and now Im subject to calling and Im leading a spike team essentially...because of the role I chose and the necessity of the situation...I feel utterly responsible for me, and the team in this league...
THAT being said I've brought the rep down on a few token champs players....veterans through and through...but they never frown, never get upset, never stop being champions...

Anyways....PvP is a touchy subject it seems no matter what MMO you play....I was just suggesting revamping an already existing pvp zone or adding a new one...without the limitations that drive people nuts. Most pvp'ers stick to arena on my server because of that Pocket D is swarmed with kickballs and other versions of 4v4, 5v5, and so on. My idea was drop the red side v blue side lvl 50 style zone, and make a FFA lvl 50 zone like Warburg.
You could theoretically put that on the VIP server and compel people to "UP" their acct. I know several people who have left the game because of how pvp has become. So yeah it would be a business move. I'm not saying it SHOULD be, because I'd love to see PvP flourish in different aspects...again just an idea...
Cross server pvp would be epic....alas it's not likely to happen.... -

Honestly, been in this game for 6 plus years ( lost 4 issues or so due to life and a new account) ive never used base tp that I have know of, I just wanna buy assemble the team...and I'll shut up LOL

it's amazing the participation a newer person or previously PVE person enters a league...SOOOO many potentials....
They hear "how it was.." or "it used to be this" and they have a level of disgust because they experience in arena a different format...On Champ we run a league, NO TS/NO HD/NO DR's they're interested...step into RV..and it's a ghost town.....because of those addons...and turned off
We tested the server load? (wishful thinking) open a cross server pvp zone with no restrictions? -
Ive been playing this game for off and on about 6 years...(granted this acct is only 2 years old)
I can kick around 7.5s like drink cans in my base....I also run TFs, team, and just mish in general in this game....so if you solo a lot I can see the frustration....and totally understand..but for your example I cant see the hindering
I give away 7.5s and numinas to friends....the elusivity of PvP IOs is what annoys me....and the incarnate drops...I'm sorry I debuff and blast and heal my brains out for a lambda on my D3, and refuse to run anymore because of the common drop..Im tier 3 on everything waiting to go to tier 4. I've never gotten a rare or v.rare. -
As a pvp'er on champion and a resident pvp league-ist....after talking to several cohorts we came up with this...
No one is screaming butt hurt over i-13...we're just tired of watching PVP die...here's our proposals...and since our Champ league has spawned new blood we want to see it thrive...
Most of our events are held in WB because of the FFA style....since so many villians have moved to heroes...there is a lack of opposition on red side. and RV on CHAMP is dead...
Our server has voiced as a collective...from the many KBs we run...an FFA/ no HD/ no DR/ no TS ...completely apart from RV, maybe on a praetorian map, devoid of badgers...
You could even make it VIP oriented....you pay to play in that zone....no badges, no set IOs...no incarnates...you're build for build. PvP'ers are VIPs too.... -

I gotta agree with Rad on this...and Amy as well...
I can understand the concern and previous MMO experience causing a bad taste in people's mouth but let's not be rash...
Chances are the F2P players will see the Freedom traffic and go there first like paid subscribers do...Thats why Freedom is a day care...Server identity shapes itself out and players learn it as they learn to play the game. Typically the get the idea of what the server is like and choose to stay or not.
The VIP server is an option. I'm not leaving Champion or the friends I've teamed with so long and love like family...Sorry I'm not letting this ruin my hardwork and investment into this game and this server. -

Oh I was responding in general...LOL....no one in particular...I guess I was directing towards "number munchkins" I slot most of my wp's with reactive armors which could be frowned upon by others but it works for me....to each their own...
I was simply asking/conversing about a player style vs the build...the build fails on paper...yes I understand that..I know how the game decides hits/misses/positional/type etc etc ad nauseum....
Also, putting your build up and going "what do you think?" is BEGGING for negativity....but I don't agree with is "Ok...I see your build it's awful, here's what I would do" Assuming everyone builds like you do...was the point....instead of going "slot this and this instead of this" say "Hey, what's your budget like? Why not slot this....and try that and see where you are" or the Curiosity of HOW something you deemed "inept" could possibly work...wouldnt that be understanding all facets of the game? I would want to know personally is all -

I said I would NOT build a wp like that, in fact I've NEVER seen a wp built like that and WORK....my point was if she's claiming it IS in fact working for her....then go team with her...or test it for yourself....Yes, wp is not designed to work like the way her build is set...but like it was said in a previous post....it may look 'suboptimal' on paper...but could perform *shrugs*

As far as her build YES I could make suggestions and YES I would LOVE to say 'what I would do"

P.S....If I listened to everybody and what they thought was 'right' and 'good' about a build....I wouldve left the game years ago. Point remains...Yes the build has flaws from how I (me, myself and I)would run it, Don't discount how I read it...I wouldnt build for positional on a WP Either....but Game mechanics says I shouldnt pvp with a rad/sonic fender...but I do...Mids is flawed as nearest as they can be...If you doubt it...stop number crunching and watch....and just.....see! -

As a player on Champ server, and a pvp'er on champ and several other servers I deal with builds and mids all the time...
Just reading the post.....I can understand posting a build for a critique but unfortunately in a forum arena such as this it's just ASKING to be scrutinized....
BUT!
The main rule is: It's not the build it's the player....
If it's working for her, on her budget .....and you doubt it....team and run with her and go from there...don't hate on statistics because...yes I know...shocker....Mid's can be wrong....
I can see concerns about her build but for me on any of my wp's I would NEVER slot that many kin combats....so with that, just to reiterate....again...not the build it is the player....
As far as support vs. tanking an STF I tank LR all the time on my D3 fender with 1 emp...I've been a party of an all 'fender STF that ran better than any prodominately melee team....under 25 mins actually....
So don't harp or 'critique' to harshly just because it isn't something you do for yourself....I have my own opinions about the build but I'm a wait and see kind of girl
