Although the /time set is very nice and can be pretty strong with 3 people running it (thats 3x stacked defense and recharge bonus, along the friendly buff), i believe other sets will give a way greater benefit.
But for time, i would either pick necro or ninja. Both are very melee 'heavy', giving a better synergy between the melee-focus of /time. Necro and Ninja go pretty equal in strength, Necro got the upperhand in slotting (as extract essense can hold all the 3 unique IO's) while Ninja got the upperhand in damage (smoke bomb).
Survival Necro is the better choice, with their -tohit and selfheal combined with your heal/def/-tohit you pretty much floor the tohit from nearly any mob. Speed and efficienty Ninja got the slight upperhand, as zombies always 'delay' when they jump/fall and have a lesser setup on attacked then T1 ninja's. -
On the bright side, just got an email from NCsoft, Aion 2nd aniversery with 10 days free gametime.. So thank you NCsoft, but NOT thank you Paragon Studio's.

Quote:Wasnt that the base editor exploit, where you could get massive ammount of prestige?General rule of thumb: If you have to ask if it's worth the bug hunter badge, then no, you won't get it.
The last public guy who got one I'm aware of found a way to add infinite slots to a Warshade's form powers (prior to ED, mind you), added a ton of damage enhancements and one shotted Hamidon. -

Quote:If i can go around with few hours less gametime, i wont mind, but i do care for my fellow european players that did want to play today (or any given time the past 2 weeks).I can go a few hours without playing a videogame, especially if that downtime results in more stable servers.
Face it, they are NA timezone based, all future downtimes (wich i expect to be quite a lot) will be on the 'negative' side for EU players. Though some were 'office hours', going past dinner time into early evening is imho stupid.
I do understand that they need to pick a time that is convinent of them and hits the fewest players, but for once, let them do a maintaince during primetime US and lets see how they will react. -
I had screenshots, but just when i wanted to upload them, i noticed my screenshotui was set to 0. In a trial, they were shown as +2. I shall screenshot again and /bug it.
Where in the notes can i find the sumpremacy chance? -
Quote:From the MM primairies i think demon is the best way to have. As 1 pet has a aoe and a single target heal (dont know the recharge of it), they have very mixed abilities and a nice resist AoE, they need less 'attention' then Ninja or Thugs (if u dont heavy slot on defense).Yeah I have to imagine thats true. My Demons/TA is far, far better thanks to some build advice I received here on the forums, but anything/TA is a tough road.
Robots might be a runner up, repair and heal from the protector bots might be enough to keep them alive.
Then again /TA overal is somewhat 'weaker' then the other support secondairies, even on defender/troller). -
Aah no wonder it didnt go up there.
Im in a que now, so gonna check in a bit. I'm +2 incarnate, so my pets should be +4 zombies and +3 graveknights? -
Gimpish, but that huge though.
True, you lack melee superpunches, you lack Build up, you lack a proper T8/9, but oh well, you get used to that.
/devices got a bitty of love, the Drone summon now is a 1sec non-interupt cast (alike the elec/ pet), but the defiance 2.0 from it is nerfed massive.
Timebomb is still kinda useless, tripmine only if u like to play with it.
Target drone gives a base defiance of 12.5% i believe, see it as a permanent powerboost.
But personaly, with a non-crash fast recharge T9, i would pick a set with BU. -
Footstomp really needs the KB proc chance for 100% recharge, thats the baby of footstomp and strength of SS (versus other sets).

Quote:Phantoms suffer the same issue like normal PA and several MM pets, they wont swap that efficient between range/melee that they will ever hit that said dps.Looking at that, Cimerorans are miles ahead. I'm guessing their innate ability to do criticals was carried over to their lore form. :3
Still, Phantoms don't seem so bad, and considering my ill/rad does psi damage only (with Phantasm doing energy damage), some different damage would help. Plus, they can fly too, which is nice.
Someone needs to do a table of the Tier 4 lore pets and gather all the info together, haha.
Their fly is so freaking random, i ditched phantoms and took the drones again. They have not that much of damage, but its very consistant. Once they are in 'spray' range they cycle perfectly between their 2 (later 3) attacks. -
I never noticed the supremicy shift
My MM is +2 incarnate, but in Pocket D my graveknights still were 49+1.
Can you see the 'level shift' in their combat attributes? -
I am in a love/hate relation with Mercs. I love the theme, the idea of controlling a mini-army, no undead or high-tech stuff, just some peeps that know how to shoot a gun, gives me a great link to my AR blaster.
And thats about how far my love goes for them, the rest of it.. i hate. Summontime, upgrade time, abilities, overal usage and 'flaws' in the set, ironicly i am playing a Merc/TA, along with procs the set has a huge -resist debuff but still they dont feel even close to the effectiveness i get with my other favorite, Necro/trap. My necro/trap i activly fight along, /trap aint that 'active' on playstyle, so i have the 2 attacks (single hit and selfheal) along with Soul Mastery. With my Merc/TA/Mace, i got sick and tired of the freaking redraw.
If only they would take some time, redesign some of the Merc aspecs (as said, Serum, overal usage of Seals and strength of Commando), i would love to play the set again. But the more and longer i play my other MM's, the less interesting it becomes to continue my Merc. Even a very matching secondairy doesnt make it better, the very same secondairy can also work perfectly on other sets, perhaps even better (/storm on bots for example).
Not untill they pickup and fix up the set like they recently did with EA, i'm not looking back at my Merc MM anymore. Though its sad, i really like the set as theme, but the other sets are just way better then Mercs now ever can be. -
I though mace and axe are equal now on powers? Not same order but each have a cone, piercing cone, mini aoe and few st powers. Damage wise it do feels mace is on the upperhand.
-
If you refer to their squishyness, yeah they cant take much. Luckely powerboosted def buff from /time can help alot on this. If you refer to damage and utility, you havent seen a smoke naded jounin doing 3 crits in a row with a knockdown and up. True, necro graveknight can also hit hard, but they have lesser t1 pets.

Quote:Why not give them the oposite of Defenders viligiglfigngience? To balance solo play they still are what they are today, while in teams (in avarage they are pretty safe there anyway) they could get damage boosts to become more of a powerhouse. As difficulty rises but their HP doesnt, trials and sortlike still can be deadly (specialy BAF) but they do become 'on par' with their damage-counterside, scrappers and brutes. You seem to prefer a design that minimizes strict AT roles. Giving Blasters the kind of damage buff that they'd realistically need to compensate for their weaknesses would do the opposite. If Blasters are ever to see significant improvement, the answer lies in broadening their capabilities, not in narrowing their speciality.
None of the above has all that much to do with nukes, though; given all of the current inflation, it's fair to say that nukes could be given more damage to compensate for their penalties -- or, as I prefer, nukes could have their penalties (and damage) reduced a little bit to make them more regularly useful. Either way, a nuke buff could boost Blaster offense in a viscerally appealing, but not-balance-threatening kind of way. I don't for a minute think that a nuke buff would be a final and equitable solution to Blaster balance, but it'd be a nice gesture. -
Initialy i thought 'phantoms' would fit my Necro MM lovely, untill i got them and found out they are actualy the PA mobs from ill trollers.
So i moved on to the battle drones, the buff bot is pretty useless (bitty heal - only you, not your pets and a 5% defense bubble) but their range is very impressive.
I take Lore pets that either suits me (drones on a /trap MM) or are not 'in my way' (as the bulky Longbow or Rularuu). My Granite tank got the whisp-lookalike-pets, small decent and they give a nice -defense debuff.
I only wish they had more 'theme' wise pets, such as Malta for my AR blaster, DE for my Granite tank or undead-alike mobs for my Necro. -
If you run with them to melee, it is a very very strong set. The clickies and toggles making it a very defense/-tohit/-recharge strong set, slowed mobs are good for melee-happy-ninja's. The hold is usefull for the scary hitters.

Quote:I was in that run, actualy was my first succesful run (god i HATE that mag20 confuse, i think i took down a few fellow heroes with my FA).Twas fun. Ran it again after and got the IDF bomb badge

Quote:What seems to work best is to pull the Lichen-Infested War Walker to a corner of the room where only 1 or 2 Regenerating Lichen are affecting it. These Lichen must be defeated ASAP. Designate a couple people to take them out ASAP and have the rest of the league focus on the AV -
Quote:Neither would anyway pick the entire APP without a reason (majority is focused towards damage, so i gues that would leave only the 'we dont get decent damage on normal powers' AT, that case.. Controller).Except using the example above, nobody would skip Sleet or Heatloss for an epic power.
Several sets have skipable T8/T9 secondairy powers, or APP abilities you would pick over the T8/T9. But i believe there are way more sets and AT's that are forced to pick a T1 secondairy or APP that they probably will never use, just to unlock the powers that come after it. (such as webname from /traps, majority of immobilize powers from blasters). -
Quote:For 50s who only want to join trials, can select the 2nd option, first available trial (this exclude the sewer trial).I have to take this back. "First available" and "Select All" are selections that are exclusive with all other options. But if you start selecting trails individually, you can mix and match any combination, they aren't exclusive.
Well done devs! Null RFE, nothing to do here!
