Rolling a Beam/Devices...
Gimpish, but that huge though.
True, you lack melee superpunches, you lack Build up, you lack a proper T8/9, but oh well, you get used to that.
/devices got a bitty of love, the Drone summon now is a 1sec non-interupt cast (alike the elec/ pet), but the defiance 2.0 from it is nerfed massive.
Timebomb is still kinda useless, tripmine only if u like to play with it.
Target drone gives a base defiance of 12.5% i believe, see it as a permanent powerboost.
But personaly, with a non-crash fast recharge T9, i would pick a set with BU.
50)Sinergy X/(50)Mika.
(50)MaceX/(50)Encore

It is nice. You still can't cast it in the air though, which makes my flying /devices character sad.

No it doesn't. The Targeting Drone doesn't actually give you any iota of a defiance boost actually. Not even a defiance boost after you activate the power based off of its cast time (I just checked in-game a minute or two ago). The only added damage the power has at all is a little bit of extra damage for Assault Rifle's snipe power. Other than its synergy with that one power, TD is just a straight up +to-hit +perception power. Nothing else.

Which is certainly frustrating, since better accuracy should go hand-in-hand with better damage.

When I raided actively on my hunter in WoW, I always thought that crit and hit should be merged into one statistic. Once you broke the "hit cap", extra hit would be converted to chance to crit, since that is pretty much how it would conceptually work out.
Do yourself a favor and roll a Beam Traps Corruptor. There are minor difference in the powers between the two. But where you can obtain full positional defense with traps your fighting to get 1 positional with Device.

I hate threads like this, because after reading them I always have to go and make the build in-game.
Edit: Well, I did roll a BR/Time corruptor that I'm enjoying. I do anticipate many deaths while playing the Disintegrate 'mini-game'. If/when I roll a BR blaster I'll either go /Devices, which I enjoy from a lack of attacks perspective, giving me more time to blast with my primary, or /Energy which would work with the cones and provide early Build-up.
I've been finding /Energy to my go-to choice of late for 'Natural' blasters, skipping the melee attacks and simply making the most of the utility that the set offers in conjunction with my primary. Fewer options can be a nice thing on occasion.
The thing is, I already have a AR/traps Corrupter, so I wanted a Blaster to sort of compliment that in a natural/tech sort of way.
I've always hoped that /devices would be allowed to do stealth attacks similar to the PPD NPCs who can do stealth attacks when hidden.
But I guess that's treading on the stalker's feet a bit too much. D:
Well, if the Beam/Devices turns out to be poo, I'll switch to Beam/Energy, but I'll try to hold out until I get the gun drone at least. :3

I still say /devices needs ... something, but I'm obviously not one of the ones making decisions eh.

... how gimped will I be to other blasters even with i21 changes to Devices (however small they are)?
The last time I took Devices was in Issue 4 when things worked quite a bit differently in regards to slotting, haha.
