  1. Your mama's so fat Hamidon has trouble organizing a raid against her
  2. I don't think there's anything wrong per se with that Samurai mission, it's just a group of SS/Rgn customs that obey all the standard rules of risk vs reward *shrug*

Try stepping out of Atlas maybe?

    New Archetypes?

Kheldians and VEATs are already sorta Assault/Defense, with melee and ranged attacks in their primaries and defensive powers in their secondaries

Bane Spiders and Night Widows could be described as being melee/buff
Crabs and Fortunatas could be described as being ranged/defense (with the added bonus of their 'defense' affecting nearby teammates)
  4. Post your complete build and describe your (prefered) playstyle and you could get better insight/feedback

Was that before GM regen was boosted to crazy levels? yeah, back then even a Scrapper could do it
  6. Go back to the tailor and make sure you specifically check the power 'Throw Spines' to have metal spikes
  7. It depends too much of the situation.

Most of my characters can solo AVs and GMs, and they can also clear +4/x8 spawns of certain mobs (Council, Batle Maiden Warriors, upper level CoT and anything without heavy debuffs or mezzes) but just as well, they readily get pwn'd by others

While my Defender (Radiation/Sonic) can solo Lusca without inspirations, he may see himself overpowered by certain 'lesser' enemies such a Positron or Antimatter, and put in a position where he has to pop inspirations to win

My Controller (Fire/Radiation) can also accomplish said feat against Lusca, but when faced with oponents that summon multiple spawns (Lord Recluse, Winter Lord) he gets screwed, cause the Imps are unable to focus fire and usually attract the attention of the enemy summons

Both my Corruptor (Fire/Traps) and my Mastermind (Robotics/Traps) can solo every redside GM (all 3 of them) and even Abyss Monsters without breaking a sweat. However they share the same susceptibility to Positron, and also have a nemesis of their own in the rank of Vindicators: Swan. Being trappers, they place several gadgets on the battlefield to achieve tactical superiority over the oponent, but Swan can neutralize this tactic by using Fulcrum Shift off of all my traps, and then proceeding to one-shot me.

So, even if you can find a build that can solo +4/x8, solo AVs and solo GMs, they might *NOT* be able to solo every +4/x8 mob, and might not able to solo every AV and GM
  8. Mob AI has been buggy since about i12, my damage/taunt aura suggestion is at least a workaround >_<

But yeah, even if there's little scatter, that still drives me *NUTS* since I'm used to farming at leisure with SS/Elec Brute and Elec/Fire Tank (yes I love Electric Armor)

I really wish I could make Drain Psyche perma while still retaining high levels of ranged AND AoE defense.

I also wish DP's -regen value was enough to completely halt a GM's regen

  11. It may not be if you're fighting small mobs of weaker minions, but when you kick it up a notch and go +4/x8 (or fight anything that can survive the initial alpha strike) then yeah, it does become a problem (IMO)

I suggested making a request to the devs to add a taunt component to damage auras (Blazing Aura, Death Shroud, Lightning Field) similar to the ones in Invuln and SD (Invincibility and AAO) to prevent mob scatter, but it was rejected by the Scrapper community, even fiercely by some (something I didn't expect, tbh)
  12. I deleted my Spines/Elec and rolled Elec/Shield instead because I couldn't stand the scatter >_<
  13. SR, because it rocks and leaves you enough room to pick up aid self

I'd actually advice *against* pairing Fire Melee with WP
  14. AoE defense is way too underrated and neglected

I will when the time comes (I'm sure I'll screw up some time, happens to everybody). But until then, I'll be glad to keep pointing out your newbie mistakes

Then you shouldn't state 'facts' if you have no experience in the subject at hand (correcting someone who is right, with wrong information, is an even greater offense).

Going by the description is a common newbie mistake; veterans know better than to 'trust' the descriptions devs put ingame >_<

Power Sink is autohit, try reading the combat logs some time?

I wouldn't suggest a Tanker because teams would usually expect you to... well tank, and that's a big responsibility since in many ocasions it's the tank himself (or herself) that sets the pace for the team.

Katana and Broadsword primaries paired with WP, SR are also good choices for a Scrapper (and Ninjitsu for a Stalker)
  19. A Force Field Defender with Sonic, Psychic or Dark secondaries

I'd recomend a Robotics/FF Mastermind too, but pets can get a little unpredictable sometimes, and if you're not quick on the fingers you may draw unwanted aggro and cause teamwipes
  20. I soloed a bunch of AVs on my SS/WP Brute just for teh luls, though I had to use a few insps against some of them. It's not that hard unless the AV has a self heal and/or a godmode (as is the case with Ms. Liberty and Silver Mantis who have both)
