  1. But...leadership doesn't stack after I7 AFAIK.

    My First Video

*claps lots* Really really nicely done

  3. I, Silver Weasel, hereby proclaim that I do not suffer from fragile bones/weak ribcages/weak spinal columns, and in the event of hug-related compression injuries will not sue.And that Zortel will buy the first round of drinks

Yikes, I didn't even realise Weasel had put us down for this. The offer's lovely, but I'm afraid I, at least, won't be able to join you .

    [/ QUOTE ]

I didn't realise Weasel had put us down for this either?

Stalkers HAVE to team otherwise there effectiveness is lowered so badly they are forced to scrap.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    1) Blasters have always had to team, Blappers now have to as well.
    2) Stalkers can still give me a damn good fight 1-1 and I'm still on the losing side in RV.
  6. Weasel (still on I5) took down a Spines/Regen Scrapper in Warburg. Two hit kill against all SO'd toggles

Team vs team PvP is like sex - when it's good, it rocks your world, and leaves you gasping for more

    [/ QUOTE ]

And when it's bad you end up in the hospital; then once discharged, you retreat to your friends house and moan about how he finished you off before you'd had a chance to build up a sweat. Then, a couple of days later, you jump back in the sack and try it out again, only to be disappointed once more?

    [/ QUOTE ]

You could have waited til I was there
  9. Silver_Weasel

    Dear lord, no.

    [ QUOTE ]

Anyway, I can just threaten FG with the Forum Praetorians. Beware Glassjaw and Tunneller!

I hear Letroz has only one character, and can't roleplay to save her life
  10. I always thought Roleplayers did it with oddly shaped solids?
  11. Silver_Weasel

    Invu/SS

Agreed. Inv/SS doesn't start to shine, if you'll pardon the pun, until Invincibility, from there to Rage it's good, after Rage it's godlike, but doesn't get any more diverse.

    Just remember, Stamina Stamina Stamina.
  12. Silver_Weasel

    Dear lord, no.

    African or European Swallow?

I'd rather people [broke the EULA and] swore at me and told me how they were going to render me into minced meat than generated reason number one million about how their death wasn't fair.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Me too

it implies that I killed them and not 3 scrappers rushing into the fight eager to help out

    [/ QUOTE ]

Me three. Having just walked out of another zone where friendly banter turned to petitions and multiple heroes took it in turns to beat upon one villain, and then blamed it on stalkers; it's just becoming a chore.
  14. Natural just means 'Natural' for that body type, so a Savant that could construct traps from mid-air would be a Natural (As the Savant might be a detemined thing rather than a mutation), or she may not be human and be from a race that can just create objects, or she can be a time traveller with micro-traps hidden in her pockets, or she can be a Sorceress that creates them from mid-air (It's often only magic if Magic is un-natural to you), or, like the Centurions, she may only have a Technical Teleporter and items are teleported to her as she needs them.

Tech Origins, like Iron Man, tend to be having technical powers that make you 'more than human'. Naturals can still use tech, magic etc. but they don't RELY on it for their powers.

Take Tony Stark out of the armour or cut off Weasel from his magic and they're normal people (ish). Cut you off from your traps and you're still a hero.
  15. The thing was that your own point was under contest. Whilst it is impossible to pull agro from someone that is TAUNTed for that duration as TAUNT paralyzes agro, any 'vokes CAN be overriden simply by stacking more 'vokes on top of them. Also TAUNT on it's own doesn't build agro (though Invince/Gauntlet do if used during the TAUNT period).

Hence, TAUNTed foes are held in agro during the TAUNT period, unless a similar TAUNT is used against them.
Foes that have been TAUNTed but are no longer in the TAUNT duration may be aggroed by anyone generating more 'vokes, OR by the TAUNTer moving out of effective range.

Basically, TAUNT paralyses agro's effects, 'vokes build aggro. Once TAUNT is done, highest 'vokes get the aggro.

This is what has lead to the problem in 8 man teams with one TAUNTer trying to hold the agro. (See Rain of Fire/Ice)
  16. Respect to Sturm as a excellent PvP player, from both sides of the field.

Brutes 'ability's' tend more to Scrappers than Tanks. Tanks soak damage, Scrappers deal it out and having seen you in action, I'd say a */Inv would suit you down to the ground.
  17. [ QUOTE ]
You can not steal aggro from a taunted foe without taunt

    [/ QUOTE ]

Again, untrue. Try the DE Devourer's, they will run back and forth between the two highest 'vokers. Be they taunt or damage. Stase and me used to play ping-pong with them. (Inv/Clw Scrapper and En/En Blaster)

As Bridger has said, TAUNT paralyses aggro. You can lock someone onto you using TAUNT for the duration, but Taunt in Invince-voke, Gauntlet or any of the other 'vokes just increases the aggro.

    Sheesh. Men.

  19. Whoops just tested it tonight...Invis DOES block Invince-voke.
  20. The base is the autohit. Against Purple opponent(s), Invincibility wins as you've got the 'voke, never mind if you're invissed.

With Mudpots, the Invis will dissipate when you get close but you're not assured of anything until you get Gauntlet, which can be hard unless you've 2xacc'd.

Against Yellows down, Mudpots wins because the likelihood is they'll already be caught even if not near. Invincibility does take a slight time to kick in the shields due to CoX's 'attack before defences activate' programming.
  21. Mudpots slows and damages, but it's not autohit like Invincibility.

Tbh i am hoping for some serious mass PvP on this zone that targetters and field tactics will come even more in place. If that the case the toon specialization will be the next FoTM for PvP.Stalker Hunters,Targeters,Controller hunters,Flag carriers,Flag carrier guards(5 invul with superman build and taunt) etc.Well maybe i looked too much in the future and went for too much specialization but well i like this.

    "high-damage blasters can steal aggro"

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not a rumour, Weasel can still steal it.
  24. I think we need to start a thread about words like Blastvoke and Scrapfiance.
  25. It depends on how you play the Tanker, and what AT.

Ms. P will leap into the middle and hit Taunt or Haymaker immediately, but if you're playing an Ice Tank or Granite - Mud Pots then there will be no initial Gauntlet/Prox-voke to re-direct the Alpha strike; so Mr. Blaster following up will take it instead.

Also, most minions will go "Hey, look at that Tank running towards us and waste time switching from ranged to melee", with the resulting animation times. With Invisibility, they'll switch directly to melee or Psi blast.

And it's also just not very Heroic
