Quote:Well daaaaaamn. Learn something new every day. CheersThe Theft of Essence proc is intended to go into an attack, and is therefore keyed to fire on the caster. It depends on whether Panacea says "gives End to target" or "Gives End to self". If it says "to target", it will give the End to enemies, not you.

I would say take Howl or Shout, skip Shockwave unless you really want it or as a set mule.
I would take Howl first though. Its a decent AoE and that and Enervating Field will decrease the resistance of a spawn pretty nicely which is great for soloing and teaming. Shriek and Scream are pretty much all you need for single targets for the most part, so you can put off Howl till later.
Also, if endurance is a concern Howl is even better because the DPE gets better the more targets you use it on. If you maneuver around so you're always hitting as many of the mobs in a spawn with it it'll be a great help.
I have Shout in my build mostly as a set mule, but its very worth the endurance if you use it when its almost guaranteed to Scourge and it'll be worth it. For example, a boss at low health so its likely to Scourge and they've got the hitpoints so the damage isn't wasted. IIRC, I took it late in the 30s. -
I've got some info on good RI/EF use in the Rad guide in my sig if you want to take a look.

Quote:Because farming isn't about having the most defenses and hp, its about having enough to not die when you farm. Brutes have enough. Tanking (lol) is about having the most defenses/hp.Tanks already have better defenses and higher hp with a slightly higher damage modifier out of the box. This alone is enough reason to pick a tank over a brute.
The Brute having lower damage at base than the Tanker is a total non-issue because as soon as you have some Fury the Brute blows the Tanker out of the water for damage. And farming, where you'll have the aggro of the entire spawn on you, trust me, you'll have plenty of Fury.
Re: FM/FA vs SS/FA, while FM gets a lot more use out of Fiery Embrace, SS is better. SS is better because Footstomp has a bigger radius than FSC which is important in farming. The other reason SS gets the nod is, as Fiery-Enforcer said, the mitigation. FA is a little squishy, knocking everything in a spawn on its butt every 5-6 seconds is win.
A FM/FA might kill faster than a SS/FA, but it's got no way to stop Fake Nems bubbling and will get blown to bits by Veng'd bosses.
A FA/FM tank would be tough enough, but then again you're back on lol tanker damage :3 -
It's not hilariously broken anymore. That is to say, with dmg procs in it it no longer nukes spawns with broken clouds of hilarity.
It's still a great power though. Still worth taking. Get high recharge on it, put a Lockdown proc in it. Profit. -
Sell on market for big bags of Internet Money. Panacea proc is lol. Although it would be good in Dark Regen you generally want all of its slots for other stuff.

Assuming my internet hasn't **** the bed, I'll try to be there. Probably on my therm or pain.
Because Fiery needs someone to keep him up. [Boner joke] -
Quote:Oh snap, I did. Dang, thanks for pointing that out. Birthday boy is on his A-game :3Thanks heaps all! Been a pretty good one so far.
Now to start the day off with some beverages.
Oh and Silas, you seem to have forgotten Dark Miasma in your Sig.
Edit: fixed like a randy dog, yo. -
AoE monster.
Drain Psyche + PSW = awesome. If you take all of them or have high recharge you'll have more AoEs than you know what to do with.
Fire also has high ST damage too. Very versatile combo with the high regen/rec from Drain Psyche. Drain Psyche goes a long way along with either defense set bonuses and/or Patron shields in keeping you on your feet while you melt faces.
Fire/MM is arguably the AoE king for blasters. Fire/Fire can do more AoE damage, but its got no tools to keep you alive.
Skip the ST fear, its poop. Skip the PBAoE confuse unless you're using it as a set mule or for aesthetics, it too is poop. -
Quote:Yeah, all good points. I'd still make one (as I did a TA Corr) because I'm a sucker for Corrs.Just gonna focus on the FF for Corruptors part. Force Field on a Corruptor would suffer from a similar issue as Trick Arrows, in that it would be nearly a duplicate of the Mastermind version.
The damage from Force Bolt and Repulsion Bomb would be higher, Dispersion Bubble would give a little more Mez Protection, and Insulation Shield would grant slightly higher resistance to End Drain and Recovery debuffs, but otherwise...
Corruptors and Masterminds share the same modifier value for Defense buffs, Knockback, and Mez (Durations or Mag).
Even worse, Personal Force Field for MMs would give higher Defense and higher Resistance than the Corruptor version.
Forcefield is another set I think needs a little work before Corruptors get it. Otherwise, it'll be like Corruptor Trick Arrows all over again (by that I mean).
Edit: Sonic Resonance is pretty much in the same boat; it'll be nearly identical for MMs and Corruptors.
What I like most about the idea of /FF for Corrs is that I could pair it with something like Fire. Bubbling people every 4 minutes and spending the rest of the time running around with mez protection blowing stuff to bits = happy Silas. -

I've got (iirc) about 107% rech without Hasten. I can have 2 Mortars out permanently with 3 briefly. If you've got the Achilles -res proc in the Mortar it won't stack, but more Mortars firing means its more likely for it to land on a given mob.
The other benefit of high recharge is being able to drop Mortar every fight, even in fast moving teams.
I just wish the animation was faster >.> -
1) Merge the damn markets already
2) Seriously.
c) I wonder what/how much we'll lose if we don't sideswitch all the way. Unless there's some kind of absurd penalty for doing so they devs have yet to announce, I'll be turning all my villains into Rogues and all my heroes into Vigilantes so I can play on both sides. Moar content+teams ftw. -
-
I hope we can rescale the interface with these changes.

I really want Poison and FF for Corrs, just as excuses to make moar corrz. Defender Psy Blast on Corrs would also be nice.
For other ATs, Fire Blast for Defenders, SS for Scrappers, Broadsword/Regen/Spines/Ice for Brutes. -

Quote:Yes, and it was discounted because it was meaningless. It's a farcical comparison for the sake of getting to say hurrr my tanker outdamages scrappers and getting to beat your chest oh so loudly.Im the one that did and it was disscounted by everyone including your self and Bill.
Learn 2 READ!
Now, a generous person might see this and realise there are reasons you act out in the way that you do and let it slide.
I'm not feeling generous. Stop making absurd claims based meaningless comparisons and people will stop calling you on them. I can speak only for myself but I'm losing patience with your nonsense. -
Quote:I would love to see an unsupported Fire Tank fight Arachnos or Malta on +3x8.Not completely on topic, but if you really can run +3X8 against most enemy groups with a fiery aura tanker then I now how extreme self confidence issues.
Hell, anything that isn't Council. -
Yeah, its a relatively little-known fact. Hell, I've never received an offline invite to a channel myself, I just know because I've been told by reliable sources.
-
Give them the global of any of the other Ops (@Myrmydon, @Cobalt Azurean, @Starfire, @Cutlass, @Miz Nibbles and some others who currently escape me). They send an offline tell asking to get in, Op sends offline invite to the channel which they'll receive when they log in. Profit.
