Suggestions for a third attack for a Rad/sonic please?

Hello all

I'm playing a Rad/Sonic corruptor and just hit level 12 with him. I could use some opinions on what to take at twelve as my power if you would please? I'm trying to decide between one of the three attacks available to me. Here is a quick paste of my build thus far (slots may be wrong, but doing it from memory.)

I'm going to be taking Swift (14), Health (16), and Sirens Song (18) then Stamina at 20. The decision I have right now is between my available three attacks in Sonic to round out my attack cycle. I can take Howl, Shockwave, or Shout. All three look good to me for different reasons. I like the AoE of Howl, the pure damage of Shout and the soft CC of Shockwave. (I solo storyline missions alot.) Right now I'm leaning towards Shout, but the endurance concerns me. I'm already running low on End after each fight so not sure about a 11 endurance attack. Does anyone have a suggestion or comment on which of them to take? Thanks in advance!

Neutrino Bolt, X-Ray Beam and Cosmic Burst paired with Sonic Siphon are a great attack/debuff chain for a Rad/Sonic Corruptor

I would say take Howl or Shout, skip Shockwave unless you really want it or as a set mule.

I would take Howl first though. Its a decent AoE and that and Enervating Field will decrease the resistance of a spawn pretty nicely which is great for soloing and teaming. Shriek and Scream are pretty much all you need for single targets for the most part, so you can put off Howl till later.

Also, if endurance is a concern Howl is even better because the DPE gets better the more targets you use it on. If you maneuver around so you're always hitting as many of the mobs in a spawn with it it'll be a great help.

I have Shout in my build mostly as a set mule, but its very worth the endurance if you use it when its almost guaranteed to Scourge and it'll be worth it. For example, a boss at low health so its likely to Scourge and they've got the hitpoints so the damage isn't wasted. IIRC, I took it late in the 30s.

If you like teaming, Howl all the way and never look back. If you solo far more often, then Shout, but the AoE -res is priceless on teams, and it will be your best attack when you have backup hitters. Shockwave is more of a control power than an attack, in that it's a light-damage AoE with sub-par accuracy and no debuff other than the knockback. Howl should almost always take precedence over Shockwave, if you take Shockwave at all.

Once you hit 18 you can open any battle with Siren's Song, and then fight everyone in the group one at a time with single-target attacks while the rest snore away. This is an incredibly safe soloing method, and while it's likely a bit faster on a Sonic blaster who has heavy-hitting melee attacks than a corruptor, having a solid ST attack chain is important. Later on in the game if/when you get to twinking out your corruptor, at very high recharge levels Shout can actually be detrimental to your attack chain because of how long the animation is, and you can get by fine without it; on DOs/SOs, you don't have enough recharge to have other options, and it does hit pretty hard.

Rule number six of an empathy defender is NEVER underestimate a blaster's ability to die. I don't care if he has CM, Fort, both RAs, bubbles (both FF and Sonic), and is fighting next to a Storm defender with hurricane on. If there is a way to die in that situation, the blaster will find it.

I am all in with Howl myself. It's a big cone for team play but it's also a big debuff.

I like Shout, but it's much better on a blaster. If you want to PvP at all it's a must have, but you can probably skip it for PvE (I hate saying that).

Howl IS a must have on any Sonic Blast character, as is Siren's Song.

Given your options at the level you're at, I'd say go with Howl.
