  1. Tsk tsk Bronx, Percocet is a cocktail hour drug.
  2. Heh, very nice UberGuy. I've personally yet to strike gold like that on rolls, but I've been having purples drop like rainwater this week

    I have failed :(

    Hey man,

I'm sorry you feel its been a failure, but in my eyes it definitely hasn't been. Its gotten me more interested in pvp, even if I'm only popping into RV for 20-30 mins a week, that's still 20-30 mins more than I had been in before you started this initiative.

I agree with Neuronia, Elf and Kat about only moving over one or two characters so you can engage in some more active pvp but still be a part of the scene here. I know its easy to get discouraged because there's a huge prejudice against pvp these days, both from people who enjoyed pre-i12 pvp and pve'ers but I would again encourage you stick with it.

Just as long as you know moving to Freedom won't let you get away from my pvp questions I've got the bug now and there's ****-all you can do about it.

    Peace.
  4. t Scientist,

Yeah, Snow Storm does have its uses. I tried the toggle pulling thing with it and while it does work, if its slotted for slow it'll make doing so a hassle and potentially very messy. If you frequently are on slow-moving teams and you want the power for concept/sets/whatever then its definitely not a bad pick, it just wasn't for me.

The smashing/energy resistances on ID are pretty sizeable and those are 2 of the most common damage types encountered. That said, I had other things which needed slots more. If you have a slot or two floating around that you don't have somewhere more urgent to put them, ID can make good use of them. I just find the way I use it the default slot was more than enough.

You're totally right about Siphon Power, the damage debuff is quite nice against AVs. Depending on team composition however, I might skimp on its use because there are more important things I need to be spamming like attacks/transference/fusion/SBs/FS. On a team that doesn't have a dark or a cold or a rad debuffing damage I generally do try to work it into my chain for AVs.

Your point about using LR as a backup button to reduce threat is a good one, it does come in handy used like that.

    Thanks for the input
  5. Heh, awesome pic Demo. I used to have a screenshot of me doing /e protest next to the Honoree on my old computer. Old times, old crimes.
  6. Ehhhhh not really, no :s

I used to have a fire/traps corr when PGT was hilariously broken but its since been deleted. I've been thinking about rolling up a Storm and/or another traps (Storm being more likely of the two) I just don't really like traps that much.

Its great at what it does, I just find for me what it does is very awkward on most teams and not worth the time. I'll poke around in Mids and see if anything inspires me
  7. Awesome you guys, congrats
  8. Radiation Guide added, Dark Guide to come this week.

    Fire/Sonic

Nah its not too tight a build. From Fire Blast I skipped Flares and Fire Breath, from Sonic I only skipped Sonic Repulsion. The nice thing about Sonic is that most of the powers don't need too many slots.

Even my shields which are all ED-maxed on resistance are only 4 slotted. The only 6 slotted Sonic power I have is Liquefy.

I can post my data chunk if you'd like to take a look.
  10. Yup, I just can't get into LTE.

I am a fan of Rammstein and Nightwish, not Dethklok though. I just can't enjoy screamy music. A lot of hardcore metal stuff I'll love the first 30 seconds or so because its awesome guitar sex, then the dude starts screaming and ugh

but seriously dont look at levels please
    not my fault i swear!
I obviously can't speak for Kahlan, but I was looking at it as an end result build and making my suggestions from there >.>

Edit: my experience of Kahlan says p.sure he would have been looking at it the same way (as an end goal build)

third: stygian circle. end is not a problem

fourth: yes it sucks to have 1 slotted tp and no ss. I live with it to be powerful.

fifth: why the heck would i ever take ss when I already HAVE a travelpower?

    as for pet slotting...
2-3 pets is quite nice. moar would be better yes, but have yah ever seen one of those in action?

Please at least know the powers of an archetype before you "critique" a build.
Ahhh, my bad, you're totally right about Unchain Essence. My bad, sorry

However, I would still argue that a purple damage proc could be much better used in a power that you use yourself, rather than a toggle. I think this because in a click power you control when it checks for the proc to a go off, whereas in a toggle it checks every 10s regardless of if any/how many enemies are in range. For this reason, I prefer to have purple procs in click powers.

As for Stygian Circle, it is true that it's a great +end power and should not be discounted, dead bodies are not always available and in terms of hp/end necessary for my build to function, I'd rather build on the side of caution.

As for the travel power, I'm not 100% on saying you should take SS as that is obviously a personal preference deal. However, I would say that TP can be an awkward travel power and that if you want to use it as your main way to get around, a slot or two to get great values would be well placed (especially for stuff like speed TFs, if you never do speed TFs you can disregard this however )

    Hope that helps to clarify.

  13. Actually, for the sake of figuring out what the build could do I already turned off the Eye of the Magus accolade.

Replacing the def/rech IOs with 7.5s brings you from 80% to 102.5%. Very nice, except the pet still only has under 70% rech enh and you only take it at 47 despite it being opened at 32 (where you prioritize boxing, tough and weave).

Eclipse is perma, that is definitely true. I'm not sure which power you mean as a second nuke with 1:30 recharge but I'm guessing you mean Unchain Essence. Which in order to do what you say it does, requires a team mate to die every 83 seconds, right in the middle of a spawn. Okay.

Also I wasn't even talking about Inky Aspect, I actually think your slotting in that is fine, if unnecessarily expensive for little gains. I was actually talking about Orbiting Death, which in your build eats .6 end a second (2/3rds of all your other toggles combined).

+Stealth is very nice indeed, but not at the cost of underslotting your main travel power, especially since you take Hasten and have a +stealth power in your secondary.

If it works for you and you do great things, awesome. I would, however, hesitate to call it a fantastic build.
  14. You know, that is an absolutely fantastic build.

I mean, except for Eye of the Magus being selected, 53% of your next end gain being used by your toggles, your pet which can be multiple-summoned only having 70% recharge, the +regen unique in a character with low base hp and +28% from bonuses, Shadow Step costing the full base 13 endurance and not having its range enhanced, a purple set with no significant endurance reduction in a toggle that eats just under .6 a second, a main ranged blast with only 26% accuracy and the rercharge on Eclipse not maxed out.

Other than that, its a great build!

    Congrats.

All the more reason to take part and try and ensure it doesn't, surely? Oh, wait, that would be constructive. nvm

    Fire/Sonic

My fire/son hit 50 recently and is all nice and IOd out now. I love it, great combo. The cage can come in very handy (RSF Hero fights, Romulus Nicti) and given how trivial it is to get defense, the resistance a sonic brings is very welcome, imo.

It -is- very end heavy though, I picked up Conserve Power and Power Sink, as well as building for decent +rec and endurance reduction. I generally only need CP for when I get drained or PS missed, but its nice to have.

As for Sonic Disruption, fantastic power. It can be very irritating on maps with a lot of elevators because it'll continually be detoggled, but I've found I do notice the killspeed difference so I do think it is worth it.
  18. The problem with the FFB in Thunderstrike is that unlike Footstomp, the radius on TS is teeny. As for in Shield Charge, it does work but because of how SC works you don't get the buff.

The damage and KD in SC is caused by a pet (Scrapper Shield Charge) so the summon gets the buff, not you.
  19. Amy is actually just upset because her application to join the War Council got turned down :O
  20. Kahlan I got another purple today. That is six in half as many days. I broke something and oh god I can't make it stop I think I'm inadvertently drophaxing oh god I'm going to get banned :C
