Redraw on almost every single attack? Ewwww.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Corruptors can do one "better".

    AR/TA/Mace.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Character name... Redraw
  4. [ QUOTE ]
I know the subject is the least played defender *primary*, but a defender combo I've never seen besides myself is a Rad/Ice. I'm not saying they don't exist, I just have never seen another, which seems unfortunate as this combo has such awesome versatility.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You know... I've not seen another of that combo either. Great for teaming or solo though. Mine's on Virtue.

Pardon my ignorance - how do you find out how much you've actually played a toon?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Click on a wandering citizen who's name starts with "M". They'll tell you how many hours you've "patrolled".
  6. Butterfly Effect - mostly because I waited so long for it to become available.

    Photoshop Art

So, two characters recently got married. No in game activity, but I played with Photoshop for some wedding photos, and felt the need to share.

The ceremony - (all characters are on only two accounts)

The newlyweds, Dr. Jack Paladin & Alisa Korsakova - (My favorite)
  8. My fave character is a Cold/rad. That said, I didn't see many others leveling her up, and see others at 50 very occasionally.
  9. [ QUOTE ]
I decided to take a break from my May fan art battle entry and do a free art since I haven't done one in a while.

    Salagadoola for Siberian Spring.

Wow! That's frackin awesome! Thank you!

    Fun Hero Builds?

    [ QUOTE ]
Whats a good origin to go with kinetic? Ive been using magic... just cause it went with the theme better. But kinetic is more of a psi power than magic.

    [/ QUOTE ]

My kins range across the non-tech board. The ability to manipulate space-time could be granted to a person by magical means so that's not off the board, but mutation and science are incredibly easy to explain.

Bea Ware - Kin/Archery - was born with the Kinetic side and trained herself in archery (Mutation)
Book Mouse - Kin/Sonic - is an overgrown lab mouse (Science)
Cryovex - Ice/Kin (corr) - is a product of magic based cloning (Magic)
Protector of Innocents - Fire/Kin (contr) - a imp/fairy type being who's race naturally controls both (Natural)

    Fun Hero Builds?

    [ QUOTE ]
I like hybrids. I like being able to melee and blast things and have a small amount of healing abilities too. Those are the most fun for me.

    [/ QUOTE ]

My first thought on reading this sentence... Kin/anything defender.
  12. Posted elsewhere but...

Magic pack upgrades - Dang but this is a cool set (though where are the Baron boots and jackets for ladies, Sexeh Jay?)

    Siberian Spring evening wear

    Wila got new everyday wear

    and Salagadoola got an upgrade
  13. Base Repricing
    1) How will the repricing of bases affect you personally? I will be able to greatly expand the RP aspect of my bases.
    2) Will you dismantle your base to gain the additional prestige from the repricing? Yes.
    3) How long would this process take you if you were to engage in this practice? Including rebuild: Protectors = 6-10 hours; Impossible Legion = 6-10 hours; Mouseion at Alexandria = 100+ hours
    4) What are the positive and negative concerns regarding repricing? Mostly I'm good with it, but decorative (i.e. non-functional) rooms should be significantly less expensive than their functional equivalents.
    5) How will this feature affect you long term and short term? I'll be able to have richer spaces for Roleplaying.

*sidenote - RP spaces could be greatly enhanced by a greater range of decorative items. *hint hint nudge nudge*

Base Salvage Exchange to Invention Salvage
    1) What is the negative effect on your base for this feature implementation? I'll convert one character per SG to an influence/invention salvage farmer and hope I can resist the temptation to pass pieces to characters building IOs.
    2) What is the positive effect on your base for this feature implementation? There isn't one. I'm sorry.
    3) How long will it take you to adjust to learning this new system? I'm a quick learner.
    4) What side effects to this system do you currently see from transitioning the old to new system? Increased costs of salvage on the market, less use of empowerment stations, increased costs for base building settled fully on the base builder.
    5) What security concerns do you have regarding this change? None as I intend to get rid of the now useless salvage racks. I have mule characters for holding event salvage and my base farmers can hold more than the bins... and take up less floor space.

Additional Notes: I would really like to know the real reason behind the change from base salvage to invention salvage for base building purposes.

So magic desks are nerfed too?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I just logged on my one "over 10" test character to start an SG... and the strangest thing happened with the desk... it would stack on itself. No straight z-axis movement, but I could keep placing it on top of its own bounding box.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thats due to the current lack of pathing rules. May be subject to change by end of week.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Probably... one of the few things I see that I like is the ability to do this. I've no doubt the ability won't make it to live.

  16. Well... I went with Ms. Hypatia, but used her 4th costume, instead of the first one.

    Side
    Rear

    Info
  17. What the heck? Might as well.. and thanks for the thread. I'm undecided on whether I want to use one of my existing characters, or create a new one.

Existing ones I'm pondering... at least ones that already have biographies:

    Butterfly Effect
Bio: A butterfly mutated by a combination of magic and science; Butterfly Effect has champions who seek to find a way to return her to her normal state.

In the meantime, she assists them in their fight against their enemies and feels her way around this strange, shrunken world.

    Krasivyy Mechtayu/Zvezda
Bio: Nadya Inessava Zanin is, unfortunately, lying in a hospital bed in St. Petersburg and has been undergoing various treatments for most of her 14 years. In her dreams, however, she travels. most often, her dreams are of being a hero in the famous Paragon City. Nadya is just starting to realize that her dreams are more than dreams. She is, in fact, projecting her soul self to the city of her dreams and is, indeed, helping others. Being a result of thought forms, Paragon City's Krasivyy Mechtayu can imagine herself in any form, with a variety of powers.

    Ms. Hypatia
Bio: Hypatia, daughter of Theon and last librarian of Alexandria; upon hearing of the order to destroy all pagan temples in Alexandria, utilizing knowledge aquired from the Library, managed to transport the Mouseion's scrolls to an alternate plane. She always had the intention of bringing them back once a new, safe location was found. Unfortunately, she was murdered before such a place was available.

Her daughter, Iokaste, knew the scrolls were safely in another dimension, but not how to retrieve them. She called on Cleio, muse of history; and Hecate, goddess of witchcraft and crossroads, for aid. Their aid arrived in the form of a Lampade, a nymph serving Hecate. The Lampade was made mortal with the knowledge that each generation would be bound in service and friendship with the eldest of Iokaste's line. It's powers over darkness remained, however; and with each generation bound at birth the darkness of Hekate was shared between the infants.

    Nomadstar
Bio: Originally from Datragon, a somewhat earthlike world, Zwggstrl and Rzjnstr are fairly typical of their species. Datragonians exhibit a high degree of sexual dimorphism in size and strength. During a darker past females were politically and socially dominant, however, equality was achieved several centuries ago.

When the Imperial Combine took control of their world; Zwggstrl and Rzjnstr fought initially but Rzjnstr was captured. Zwggstrl, with help from the dwindling resistance, was able to rescue Rzjnstr, but not before his wings and feet had been amputated to prevent his escape.

Zwggstrl took her maimed mate to an almost legendary planet, Earth. Here, surgeons were able to replace Rzjnstr's legs.

Now in Paragon City, Zwggstrl and Rzjnstr, have adopted new names, and help keep this, their new home out of the hands of the Combine.

    Sonic Shocker
Bio: Sarah is a student at Paragon U and the Mouseion at Alexandria. Her field of study is electronic engineering, but she also has a keen interest in sound manipulation and is a clever inventor.

She has created two armor suits which utilize copper, gold, and silver to transmit electricity and sound in various frequencies.

Her first suit utilizes a transvoder which emits sounds at frequencies that will shield her allies in battle. The gauntlets emit powerful jolts of electricity which render villains and assailants incapable of further action. Rocket boots were designed to fit with the armor to allow for rapid transportation via flight.

    Siberian Spring
Bio: Tatyana Stepanova, born in Solnechogorsk, Russia, USSR in June 1957. At 19 she was "recruited" to a top secrect project for the soviet government. In 1983, there was an accident in the facility and she was transported to an alien dimension.

She survived there for nearly two years before being discovered by an exploratory group from Paragon City. It was quickly determined that the transport had included temporal, in addition to dimensional, displacement; 25 years have passed since she was last on this earh.

Now, with her country fallen, her knowledge out of date, and her family deceased; she helps those who rescued her and tries to regain her place in a new world.

    Cyborg costumes!

Just posted this one up in the "Post your best screenshots" thread, but since she uses a few Cyborg pieces...

I was totally shocked when I got sent to Outbreak with the name though. May I present Dew? I'm still not sure whether the Dew has to do with the moisture involved in Cold/Energy (water) or if she's wearing Directed-Energy Weapon armor.

My most dramatic use of the sliders has to be for Monster Child. The sliders really allowed me to bring the concept to life. Here's a side-by-side comparison of the dramatically different sizes of costume 1 and costume 2. The Vulgara version of MC looks even bigger nowadays, because I swapped out the demon wings for the much larger Draconic ones. Haven't yet gotten the screenshot of those, though.

    [/ QUOTE ]

To quote you... "Wow, that's really... wow." Very excellent usage.
  20. I've had a few people comment on the scales I use on some of my characters. This made me realize that I do a lot of scale fiddling on my characters. Being OCD, I took all of my main characters to the editor, put them in identical skin, hair, face, costume, color and put the screenshots side by side.

Beyond sharing the product of my narcissistic OCD, I'm curious how much all of you fiddle with the scales on your characters. Tell me, do.
  21. Added power explanations, images, trivia, and assorted minor tweaks to Chernozem.
  22. Because I'm incredibly slow and procrastinatory...

    Dr. Paladin and Patriot Fury
