    Both look decent although titan seems aoe focused, staff middle of the road, I see they both have 3 aoe but titan seems a little more focused on aoe.
  2. Cor and Def values are the same for buffs, they are only different for debuffs and healing.

    Both sets get a 30 and 50 + rech and +25% damage.

    Defenders get a higher value on the debuffs

    and controllers get a higher value on slows and holds.

    For time manipulation I would say it benefits cor's and controllers a bit more than defenders.

    So much of Time's power is in chronoshift where the values are the same. Then you get the extra damage to boot.

    For a set that is very very heavily debuff based, like dark or TA defender wins.

    That being said there really isnt that big a difference.

  4. OKie the server and market borked the heck out yesterday.

    So how bout and extra WST... maybe Posi/tarikross to give a little boost to all those nice new Beams, Times, and proliferates out there.

    An extra half a level of exp goes a long way on new characters.

    Seems a little silly to have the WST be a 35+ on a week when everyone is making new characters...so only those who powerlevel like crazy will benefit...

    That seems a little.... well....not right.
  5. Im fairly sure dots continually check for scourge, I know Ive seen my ice and fire corruptors start scourging after the initial hit.

    Beam Rifle/what?

    Beam is HEAVILY recharge dependent.

    Time actually works really well, you just have to plan accordingly.

    Chrono makes it MUCH MUCH easier to permahasten which really increases the effectiveness of the nuke.
  7. Beam Rifle is stronger for a cor than a blaster or defender.

    First of all it benefits from alot of +rech since its nuke is so hard hitting and with no crash but a long recharge.

    Animations are fast

    But it needs to spread disintegrates, which blasters might have trouble doing or staying alive long enough to do it.

    Also it benefits from scourge since it has so many dots.

    The trouble is its too single target.
  8. My impression is that Time doesnt actually have a downside.

    Its got a LOAD of +rech highest in the game a +30% to other and +50 team

    WOW, and I mean WOW....

    Its got a heal, -def -res -rech slow, holds....

    This set will go up there with the best like rad/kin/dark

    Crashing nukes leave you too vulnerable afterwards, kill your dps, and wind up being sat on waiting for a situation desperate enough to need them.

    Meanwhile I spam Rain of arrows every time its up, need it or not, just because it costs me nothing to do so.
  11. The one and only huge problem with redside is trying to form a team and being completely unable to even in primetime because of lack of players on redside.

  15. So lets talk about redside, we have some major problems here, because of the way the game has been over the last few years, redside has undergone some major decrease is players. And I feel its going to get worse with i21 when you can start directly blue for villian At's.

    So where is the problem and what can be fixed?

    Low player count, nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd. This one is hard to fix directly.

    SF's MUCH less rewarding for the time that hero Tf, and less of them. A good example of this is the Renault and moonfire TF's. Renault not only takes longer but rewards less... Why is this and its not just this TF, another good example is september strike targets Renault comes up again and ice mistral twice.... This one is somewhat fixable, they arent going to add any new villian Sf's as long as the player count is low, but they can double the merit rewards for all villain SF's. Yes you heard me right, double, Villains bailed because of poor rewards and less content, this is a bribe pure and simple, but its payback for years of being underpayed for SF's.

    Villian zones stink, they look horrible, they are harder to navigate, and there are less of them. Mercy is getting revamped, but its still a worse zone than the new atlas park, this one cant be fixed as far as I can see.

    Im not sure what other factors contributed to the problem, but it is a problem and needs to be fixed, before the few players left redside bail and it becomes a complete ghost town.

    2 Brute, Scrapper
    3 Soa, MM
    4 Tanks, Shades/Peace
    5 Blaster, stalker

    The first set can completly change a team makeup by their presence alone.
    The second set is good ol smash em up fun
    Thirds set should be fun, but never work out as well in practice as in theory
    Fourth set, but still less fun
    Fifth set is playing a game that no one else is playing. Who needs single target damage in this age of the game, and everyone does damage so bringing only damage is hurting your team
  17. Do you honestly believe Blasters are balanced with dominators or corruptors?

    Not more fun to play or like it better? Not does it function at minimal levels set forth. Soa's make blasters look so horribly bad, I dont even have the heart to bring that up

    Are they balanced?
  18. There are 3 ranged damage AT's in the game not counting Soa.

    Corruptor
    Dominator
    Blaster

    Its funny, even with the changes, dominators are rather weak before 30, and rocking after...for the entire game after.

    Dominators in 99% of the circumstances is a better choice than a blaster.

    Though this might even up a bit if they make nukes crashless, but that would bring defenders up into serious consideration for ranged damage and make corruptors even further out ahead unless they make nukes crashless for only blasters.

    Last point, which of these is the weakest post 30?
  19. I got to ask, how have the devs ignored DP till this point, looking it DP and looking at archery.

    DP is sooo utterly awful, its not even funny.
  20. First of all blasters are bad at a specific point, between 30-50 and incarnate early to mid-late till you dump multiple billion influence.

    Since this point is about 80%+ of most players playtime, thats a problem.

    The blaster secondary's are the MAJOR reason why blasters underperform, and MM is better than most, but lets be honest compared to the weakest corruptor.. you still underperform

    Just saying well blasters are great and can blow through anything in the game before 30 does NOT in any way prove blasters dont have a problem

    ALso saying blasters are fine post mutlipurple does not prove blasters dont have a problem

    80% or so of most players playtime is between these two points.

    Also even post multipurple, guess what, a Corruptor is STILL a better choice.

    Dual pistol probably has the worse.
  22. The problem with blasters is at a point in the game, not the entire game.

    Its post level 30, when mobs get tougher and you need to add +1 or more to make reasonable level progress. 35-50 is over 50% of the leveling time.

    But before the point where you are swimming in influence and are slotting sets of purples. Early to mid incarnate, assuming you arent a vet already loaded with influence.

    Which is at this point at least 80%+ of the game.
  23. No AT or powerset cant complete anything in the game, Heck I remember someone getting all the way to 50 in a reasonable time only taking required powers and pool powers the game is just that easy.

    THe problem is and always has been relative power.

    any blaster or stalker is weaker than other At's though if you spend 1 bil+ inf putting io's in, even they wont be weak.
  24. Yeah true tankmages are really rather limited to certain combinations, its not the individual powersets.

    Its the combinations of 2 powersets that just go way over the top...

    Ie fire/kin..

    Blasters are made to deal ranged damage, or melee damage if you're feeling sassy. Instead of defense sets you get MORE ATTACKS. Sometimes you have some controls. Sometimes it's all about the damage.

    In the end, the important thing is that you have fun. My Fire/Fire blaster is crazy addictive to play, and he faceplants ALL THE TIME. Could he be outdamaged? Sure. Do I care? Nope.
    Just because you enjoy playing does not mean its balanced, and they cant make any content more difficult till they balance better.
