I doubt the picture is squashed horizontally. The two characters seem to model okay and pretty much as the artist envisions them in their respective 45-degree poses, even if they are slender and leggy. The artist admits to the challenge of 'placing them properly' in his own comments.

One thing I noticed which might throw things off in visual relationship a bit... is the camera hitting both models dead-on at mid-height level, but the *background* appears as if the camera was pointing more at a downward-sloping angle than it should be. This results in the perspective of the street, seeming more like a two-dimensional trapezoidal 'draw-bridge' rising up behind them, rather than a flat-surface stretching out far and back. In addition, the buildings up front seem to have an exaggerated motion-parallax (leaning backwards) associated with them near to the foreground subjects. Still this is more a stylized composition, so total realism need not be the goal here as some will like the compressed-style.

The other thing I notice is the "sunrise" (or tactical-nuke?) lighting on the horizon is well-placed with a decent amount of optical-flare...ALTHOUGH the character shadows do not fully match the corresponding height at which the principle lighting hits them from behind at so low an angle. Again, minor.

All in all... this work should make a proud additional to the artist's portfolio.

NCSoft could help here as well.. by not IMMEDIATELY Suspending a valid-Player's Account based on one refusal for billing charges. If they were to get their act together and offer the Player a few day's 'Grace Period' when a credit-charge is refused, and tack on a 'Pending Deadline' for service interruption, a lot of this nonsense could be avoided before any break-in-service is enacted.

You sure can, and there are many good models out there for this game, starting with the 7600GT and up.
That one runs currently $79.00 and other video cards move up the model-ladder to over $600 or more.

But this would do fine as you simply open the computer-case, remove the old card, slip this one in its place, close the case and load up the CD Software drivers that come with it. Then off to better/faster graphics.

As the 7300 LE card isn't for intense-gaming powerwise (anything with only 4 PixelPipelines and only a 64-Bit Memory Interface is an immediate NO-Vote for gaming here), it is still considered a current video model and still better than some cheap Motherboard integrated-video solution. When it moves more towards an antiquated-performance level... such as the ATI9200 and Nvidia440 or 5200 models... then they will be alerted to that status as well.

Unfotunately this is most likely due to being an underpowered card for this intense 3D game in performance-mode. So be sure ot have the LATEST Vista Drivers for it and try turning down the graphics settings (as well as turn OFF Boom, DoF and other junk) in the Co* Option... Graphics menu.

Yeah, this is why when creating material for direct-viewing, I always have to be mindful of the presentation medium to be used. YouTube may be 'convenient' for showings, but I have to remember with them to use a high-rate source material and only encode-compress it down the barest I can get away with, before the YouTube site turns it into so much swiss-cheese.

What was the deal with the audio-track, though? It sounded a bit... rough...as if recorded at a low-sample rate?

Yeah, I am sure the game looks perfectly fast, silky smooth and gorgeously shiny to you now. Enjoy it.
