From what Rockjaw said at Bristol, Memo is the next target for getting the colouring done (though if it's the UTTER STARS that are Kat and Jason remains to be seen), yes.
But everyone should bear in mind that it takes a LOT longer to get a sketch coloured than it does to get one drawn. I expect the current 'first come, first served, one sketch only' policy will be used. -
Cake? There's cake? Wheresitatthen? Gimme!
Oh, and Hadpy Birpthay Doc Toeseywosey! -
Thanks, GR. A couple of minor questions, then (mostly due to my lack of access to most sites about the game while I'm at work):
What are the requirements?
Are there any other badges that, in combination, signify that you have met those requirements?
Are we allowed to /petition for the badge, or are we forced to do the TF again? (Not a huge problem, except organising it once more) -
I believe that "Name and likeness" violations are the most likely ones to be actioned by the GMs, but that doesn't mean they won't Generic others.
-
As Cass says: the 8800 series is not affected by this news, as it does not use the same parts as the older 8-series cards.
I'll say that again: anyone worried about their spanking new 8800 NVidia graphics card is NOT affected. -
There is some good news! It seems that the 8800 does NOT use the G84 and G86 parts. You may be safe.
-
Take a read of THIS little gem. Not sure how much of this is scare-mongering, but it seems fairly damning.
-
I agree. My main did it within 5 days of I12 release, and has not been awarded the badge. Surely everyone who has completed the TF should be getting it?
-
Yep. This has only hit me a couple of times, but it has happened. I think it's a graphics driver issue, but I'm not 100% certain.
-
Are they up on Flickr, yet? Since I can view that at work, but the entire plaync site is blocked due to content 'Games'.
If not, when? -
Well, I think Liz is SG-less right now, so that's fine by me. I can probably set up the SG (I think she's the right level, if not, it's an hour's work to get her there).

Hmm...
Further non-development questions, other than the ubiquitous 'Pay us some attention, plz!'...
5) What is your favourite beer?
6) Are any of you planning to come over to the NCE Minicon 2 next year? If so, who?
7) Have any of you ever snuck into the EU servers? Got an account on the EU servers?
8) If you could work for any developer bar NCSoft, who would it be, and why?
9) What is the one thing you HATE the players asking, or asking for, most? -
And the jurors out there might want to have a quick squiz at THIS.

Are they atleast 'considering' a proper Taskforce revamp since the original Taskforce commander taskforces are very, very, very poor compared to the the LGTF, STF or ITF?
[/ QUOTE ]
Listen to the Podcast, Doc - yes, they are! (Considering, at least) -

NPC's in RWZ, right?

And the Shadow Shards. I'm going to spend a lot of time this weekend trawling around looking for myself, and when I see it... oh, damn, that'll be weird.
Anyways, much agreement that we don't see huge amounts of Dev contact on this side of the pond. While the EU generates less income than the US, I'm pretty sure that we raise some interesting points and questions, which it wouldn't hurt for the Devs to answer if they are able. And we're nicer than the US players.
Now, I know that the Devs get sent updates on what the heck we're talking about, and that's great, but it really does feel like we're the poor cousins at times.*
* - None of the above comments necessarily apply to War Witch, who is a star and a legend and just plain FUN. -
If you as a player find a toon name offensive, then you have a right, and some might say an obligation, to bring it to the attention of the GMs in the form of a petition. I have done this a few times for... dodgy... toon names. Not copyright or offensive as such, just ones that could be interpretted poorly (whether I was personally offended or not, though I did make it clear in each of the petitions if I was offended).
And Heal-spamming is noisy, bright, and occasionally irritating if it goes off just before you get smacked by an AV. Other than that, it's not a problem. -
From the few (very minor) hints we've had so far, the missions themselves will be hosted online and downloadable to play, but I am pretty darn certain that you will need to be logged in to the servers to actually play them.

Oh and Shadowe, you've been given Jury duty, so follow the words of the hitchhickers guide and 'don't panic'.
[/ QUOTE ]
So I won't have to say SLATFATFish. Goodly. -
While I wouldn't argue with Richard or Sam being called as a character witness (Dear Lord, imagine what it would be like if Richard were there for that, with an attractive female barrister or judge... heaven help us!), if I get jury duty (which would be my preference), I would have to avoid doing so, I think, in the interests of not panicking and trying to think like 2 characters at once (which is hard enough when it's Rich and Sam, or Rich and Helena, but Rich and Liz? Youch, it would all go wrong).
-
Please, please, please, don't anyone even remotely suggest that Samantha Huntington would be a good character witness... I can see it now...
<Misty fade to courtroom scene...>
"Miss Huntington, how long have you known the accused?"
"Oh, a year or so, now."
"And would you say that he is generally a stable person?"
"Well, other than the huge personality shifts he sometimes exhibits, coupled with the fact that he used to be a villain, I'd have to say that he's a wonderful man. Quite cute, too."
"Ahem. So, you're saying that the accused has been known to exhibit changes to his personality in the time that you have known him?"
"Yes."
"And have any of these shifts been violent?"
"Not that I can recall. Mostly they're just because he's feeling horny, as far as I can tell. He turns into a right monster at times like that." -
Neither of my mains are suitable for jury duty (not being US citizens and all that), however I would be happy to do this (because damn me it looks fun).
I have a suitable character, I think. She's a virtual unknown, having appeared for RP precisely THREE times. The only thing I'm concerned about is a possible conflict of interests (my memory is not what it once was) - has Ed ever met Liz Ross? (I really want to get involved in this, and might be able to come up with another character... somewhere...) -
It's very good that you are so willing to shout out about your "appreciation for CoX". At this moment in time I will also point out that it's SOOOO easy to misread that.
You'll find that most people agree with pretty much everything that you've said, there. I certainly do.
Oh, and it's NCSoft, now, not Cryptic.
