  1. Well seeing how it is the first of the month its likely WWD Part 3
  2. Well really you didn't -earn- any glory by having those codes. All you had to do was attend the con, that usually meant paying for a ticket to get in to get in... The rest is just traveling around and if you attend cons solely for these bonus trinkets... Anyway the fact you could just buy them off places like ebay for obscene prices kinda defeats your idea for these things.

    Personally I consider all my herocon 09 swag to be the real prize. I still have my tote bag hanging around..
    (and my Artbook signed by EVERY attending dev... The whole cover, FULL.)
  3. Here it is! With Barrier Core paragon it achieves softcap for All positions and still has fairly good recharge and resists. The end is a bit heavy but it should be -okay- with 2 end/sec over consumption.
    If you guys have any idea how I could squeeze in a bit more performance without sacrificing the softcap id love to hear it.

    10/10 you almost had me!

    Eeeeeh.. I wouldn't say that zombie, these are all phototextures, not painted textures that match the main set players get. I am willing to bet these were made in the rush to get CoV out in under a year.

    Please listen to players on this.

    Organic Armor is still the best looking face in the game, IMO.

    Bolded and blown up AND underlined for emphasis.
    Do more sets using the very well mastered bump and spec maps like you have before and you guys will be GOLDEN.

    Normal skin is not very shiny, it only gets shiny when wet and as we know, this game doesn't support any effects like looking damp when treading puddles or swimming in bodies of water.

    If Normal-mapping is to be used again and made to look right, it must not make skin-like textures appear shiny; only subtle, barely-visible shine will pass.

    That's how I see it anyway.
    Well... that and the faces just look plain rushed compared to most of the others available..

    RANT MODE ENGAGE.
    ;_; why do they keep trying to use the normal map tech on the faces, sure its halloween and stuff and they certainly do look scary..ish but it just looks bad. Please devs stick to what you're good at!

    Heres my reasons why!

    NUMBER ONE! 99% of the costumes pieces lack that shader tech and it makes anything with it stand out in a bad way. (and please don't retroactively add it..)

    Number two! Either its something about how the game renders or who knows but the normal maps are way too harsh, the way the game shades does not compliment it very well at all. Alot of areas on the textures either end up too dark or bright and end up with really muddy look. Subtle-ness is awesome! So far the faces with it (steam punk/halloween pack) are overdoing it, I don't think anyone would be against toneing it down.

    Number Three! Refer to number one.

    I know you guys are super excited about having the option to make use of the new technology made available but .... A little goes a LONG way.

  11. I went with Dark/Dark/Soul myself, having Darkpit+OpGloom stun bosses is good times and the TT+ST+NF aoe stack up is great.

  12. Well essentially
    Blaster=Damage
    Defender=Support
    Corruptor=The happy medium
    Thats pretty much it.

    Any way too...

    So... You want to keep your badges and stuff and keep the character on two live servers at the same time?..
    Or do you want to just move to another server?
  14. Id like to point out the variety in tastes and likes and so on...That said.

  15. Hello~ Digging out an old favorite character of mine and I want to slap on a new coat of paint for the incarnate stuff. I have been having alot of trouble putting together something that wont feel like it is made of toilette paper, here is my current build.
    If you can suggest or point me in the direction of something better I would appreciate it. Keep in mind im trying to stay under/around 1bil budget wise.

  16. Honestly here is what we got.
    There is us. The community. Who allready pay perfectly happy. -Nothing- is being taken away. So long as we don't stop paying.
    Before when you did NOT pay you GOT NO ACCESS AT ALL.

    Please explain to me how this splits anyone at all besides returning, non-paying customers who right now can't play whatsoever from the people like us, who make up the community as is.
    *removed tired mode edits*
  17. And tee-dah.

    With the last one I spent faaaaaar too long on the hair, kinda got into a tunnel vision and totally overpainted it. I feel pretty good about this one so far...

    New fanart fun

    Thanks guys~ Its nice to be back, with college going full steam I hardly have any time to actually play the game these days x_x...but plenty of art time. (Fine art is my major with a minor in graphic design.)

    I'm thinking about making a series of basic drawing tutorials...Anything you guys want to learn?

    ""The following are examples of works not subject to copyright and applications for registration of such works cannot be entertained: (...) typeface as typeface" 37 CFR 202.1(e).

    House of Representatives report accompanied the new copyright law when passed in 1976: "The Committee has considered, but chosen to defer, the possibility of protecting the design of typefaces. A 'typeface' can be defined as a set of letters, numbers, or other symbolic characters, whose forms are related by repeating design elements consistently applied in a notational system and are intended to be embodied in articles whose intrinsic utilitarian function is for use in composing text or other cognizable combinations of characters. The Committee does not regard the design of typeface, as thus defined, to be a copyrightable 'pictorial, graphic, or sculptural work' within the meaning of this bill and the application of the dividing line in section 101." H.R. Rep. No. 94-1476, 94th Congress, 2d Session at 55 (1976), reprinted in1978 U.S. Cong. and Admin. News 5659, 5668.

    It's also in accordance with a court case that has considered the matter: Eltra Corp. V. Ringer, 579 F.2d 294, 208 USPQ 1 (1978, C.A. 4, Va.).

    The U.S. Copyright Office holds that a bitmapped font is nothing more than a computerized representation of a typeface, and as such is not copyrightable:

    "The [September 29, 1988] Policy Decision [published at 53 FR 38110] based on the [October 10,] 1986 Notice of Inquiry [published at 51 FR 36410] reiterated a number of previous registration decisions made by the [Copyright] Office. First, under existing law, typeface as such is not registerable. The Policy Decision then went on to state the Office's position that 'data that merely represents an electronic depiction of a particular typeface or individual letterform' [that is, a bitmapped font] is also not registerable." 57 FR 6201.
    TL;DR A typeface (the design of the letters) is not copyrightable, and a font is just a digitized typeface.
