Quote:What's happening is the bind tries to us the power but has no no target so it doesn't go off, then it picks a target. On the second press it uses the power, which now can fire because you selected a target on the previous use, then selects a target again. Try switching the order of the bind.Follow up to my bind question that was answered by smiling Joe. The following bind:
/bind [key] "powexec_name unchain essence$$target_custom_nearest enemy defeated"
seems to be functioning kind crazy. First click (using "6") target a defeated enemy. The second click does one of two things:
1) sometimes targets the next defeated enemy
2) sometimes targets the next defeated enemy while firing unchained essence at the same time.
IF there is only 1 defeated enemy (which is rare) I can just double click "6" at it will target then fire.
Is there another bind I could try? I would like to find one that targets the NEAREST defeated enemy and fires Unchained Essence at the SAME TIME.
Not sure if this is possible, but it would be ideal. -
This is, to my knowledge, not true. It sometimes appears true due to the fact that the last power in the chain is the one that fires first but that's due to each power being activated quickly, one after the other, and being interrupted by the next. The last one gets used because it has nothing to interrupt it.

So did they limit the color for lore or did they just have limited resources and could only make one version of the attack? To my knowledge nothing in the lore we have access to addresses the color at all, which is why lore justifications don't hold water currently. The Lore Bible very well may say that Khelds only come in one color, but we don't know that, and even if it does, what is there to be gained by sticking to that limitation?
-
None of that had anything to do with the question I asked, but I figured out my confusion with your earlier statement and withdraw mine.
-
How is that relevant? He's not arguing that it was done in another game, model replacement is already done in this game. Re-purposing existing tech is clearly doable.

Quote:One shouldn't mistake system limitations for lore. Far as I can tell, there's as much lore saying PPPs and EAts are fixed colors as there is for the Powers that have already gotten color customization. Just because we've never seen a Kheld that can shoot green energy blasts doesn't mean they can't exist. As to the PPPs being connected to the Patron , kind of went out the window when the started being able to grant each other's powers.I'm one of the few that aren't so bothered.
Khelds, well that's just the way they are. That bluey-whiteness you like really gets your washin... oh wait and the dark purple too... that's what distinguishes them and that's what they do.
With the PPP the powers are "lent" to you by your Patron. They are that colour because they are that colour. That's what you got, now live with it... and if you want to go tell Ghost Widow you don't like her as a patron because her soul extraction isn't a luminous yellowypink then good luck to you -
Quote:I'm still saying lion mane, in fact it reminds me a bit of Manticore's head piece. One on the left is definitely wearing a hood. Let's pray that head options are being shown off for that (some limited hair styles that don't clip, some hats, some helmets and hoods!)...but I could be wrong >_> probably....T_T
Quote:The one on the left also has different looking clawed hands. The monsterous hands we have still look like the mittens we have but with points on the fingers but these fingers are curved...but I could be misremembering how monsterous hands look.
Quote:The middle just looks like she's sporting a new head type. Most likely she'll be showing off new patterns too. -

From the Lore thread:

Question: What happened to the Greek gods in the CoH lore? Were they real beings of supernatural power or people who were lucky enough to find the well and gain powers and were immortal for a few centuries until they just faded away? And if that be the case does that mean Statesman's power is temporary as well?
Answer: In the CoH universe the gods of the Greek and other pantheons are real beings of great power. In ancient times they took a much more active role in mortal affairs until their actions and conflicts threatened to destroy the world itself. Pacts were made, oaths were given, and accords were reached. Statesman and other Incarnates are one representation of these agreements and serve as the avatars of the gods. Their powers are not temporary and in most cases are no longer even directly dependent on the gods themselves. Although what would happen to something like Statesman’s “Lightning of Zeus” power if Zeus were to somehow be eliminated thankfully remains an unanswered question.
Most of the gods agreed to operate through chosen champions instead of manifesting directly.
Of course some of the gods are unwilling to be bound by any such agreements and threaten this delicate balance. Even some mortals refuse to abide by the ancient covenants as is in evidence with the servants of the Banished Pantheon. -
It's possible but if you were going to pretend part of your crazy life style was playing MMOs why would you pick CoH over one that more viewers would recognize? It have to be that it was one he, or some one else on the crew, was familiar enough with to not make some stupid mistakes on and give away that he didn't really play.

It's the weekend, most of the staff is off, I don't expect anything as harsh as bans, but I wouldn't be surprised if many of these posts disappeared come Monday.

Quote:I'd do:2nd Edit: so in anticipating the release of this, anyone who is really good with binds able to write me one for a travel power key that rotates or randomly selects between either beast run or ninja run? might be GREAT for the classic rooftop vigilante I'm starting to cook up.
bind f "powexecname Ninja Run$$powexecname Beast Run"
bind Shift+f "powexectoggleoff Ninja Run$$powexectoggleoff Beast Run"
Switch the order on the first one if you want Ninja run to turn on first. -
I know, but last I recall, <> don't get saved right in a key bind anymore. If your bind predated that change it should work, but binds made since don't.
Just double checked, /petsayall <em dance1> gets my zombies dancing but /bind 1 petsayall <em dance1> just has them say <em dance1>.
Only suggestions I have is to either try doing it with popmenus or as a beginchat bind. -
warden_de_dios has some pictures over here.

Seems it might also be on live:
Quote:Don't know if this has popped up on the forums yet. Someone sent this in broadcast today. It is old or possibly from the new beast pack?

Don't the > and < symbols not work in new binds?
and it you don't need the second slash in the bind command. -

Actually, its hard to be certain, but there's a thing that should look similar to her, and thats all I'll say.

I've been going through trying to see if any other were changed and have realized I'm not familiar enough with them to know. Some of the ones in psy blast and sonic seem different but I can't tell. Also something appears to be wrong with Amplify, the original animation isn't available for color changing and the new animation doesn't seem to be effected by the color picked and the dark version is the same as the bright version.
