I'm figuring that I'll accept the open invite of the folks over in CO. Some of them actually existed in my mind before CoH even debuted and those that didn't weren't wedded too heavily to the lore, so I can easily adapt their histories anywhere I take them. I'll just view it as a DC multiverse type of thing.

Huh? Explain this better so I know what to expect if all efforts to save CoH fail.

Quote:Yeah, and it's stylized to look like a cartoon. That's what I'm saying.Eh? I already said I thought it was more stylized. I'm not trying to debate you or change your mind, just giving my opinion. The opinion here being that it's not necessarily a bad thing.
In any case, as I've already stated I can look past that. It's not a deal breaker for me. All I really care about is being able to play and customize a unique superhero.
Quote:Maybe it wasn't that one. I don't know. It was one of those random hero zones that hardly anyone uses and isn't even connected to the train. And it looked like what was probably an awesome game world around the time the original Playstation came out. The silliness was only tacked on when I observed the contrast between my character's completely modern and pretty sweet looking costume and his surroundings. -
Quote:You attempt to deflate the assertion that it looks like a cartoon by stating it looks like a cartoon...?Shrug.. Maybe my inner optimist is just taking over. But I don't know if I really agree. It sort of reminds me of a Pixar movie in some ways
BUH?
Quote:I think something worth pointing out during the graphic discussion- And I hate to mention it- Is how much nicer their environments are, especially compared to some of the older COH zones. Granted, the Atlas Park revamp and Praetoria are awesome.... But for example, I play villains almost exclusively. The other day I decided to make a new hero and ended up in Perez Park or something. Oh man, what a hideous looking zone. I felt like I was walking into a Sega Genesis map with an XBox 360 character model. It was silly. -
It's too... cartoon cell-ish and not enough realistic... texture.
-
Quote:Heh, some of us ARE comic book fans (real big ones) and still find the graphical style to be hideous. That said, if it becomes my only avenue to enjoy a super hero themed MMO, I suppose I can get past the butt ugliness of the graphics.1. I cannot stand the graphics
I play(ed) CoH because I wanted to be a superhero; like in the movies/television. CO seems WAY too cartoony for me. I was never a comics fan (ducks). I am more a X-Men movie person that an X-Men cartoon/comics person for example. This is why I liked CoH because my characters seemed more "real"/lifelike.

Maybe because half the time the store doesn't actually work? Yeah, I was finally able to get in it yesterday and buy a bunch of super packs with my last points, but there were other times that I had tried and it just simply caused the game to hang.
-
Well, looking over the wiki and considering it further, I suppose I will have to accept that invite... but only if all attempts to save CoH have failed. So I won't be moving there anytime soon.

Don't worry, I'll be there. I was just playing one of my Virtue alts today as a matter of fact anyway.
-
I know if we avert disaster, I'll definitely be making a new character in celebration.

That's a very warm gesture... if all fails with rescuing Paragon City from the En'Zhe'Shofft horde, I might have to seriously consider the invitation. I'd still have trouble with that fugly art style though. And the lack of a villain option disheartens me.

No, I don't get it either. Clearly selling the game to someone else is a good way to make a quick buck.
-
That middle one is CO? Oh my god, but those graphics are butt ugly.
-
You can have my "false hope" when you pry it from my cold, dead hands, *******. I will not give up on this game. Like the others, I will continue to fight.
-
Well, the OP did mention other companies... unfortunately since the SOE part turned out untrue, the other, suspiciously nameless, companies making bids may be bunk as well.

I've noticed this glitch for the whole year. I don't think it's related to recent events.

Quote:Why is it my terminology of "Nazi Bath House" never caught on?Yeah I realized that even though I'd been cursing the daylights out of the Council Pool Room (with the sectioned glowy cement-walled pools in 2 levels and scaffolds above)... I will miss them.
It's not like I don't know every damn nook and cranny of those things, but ... they won't be there.
