Quote:i, uh, i think you need to edit your edit. Mostly because i'm not quite sure what a "Bloon" is, but i suspect it's a highly illegal drug. Or something.Hm, guess that list is a bit out of date.
DFB = Death From Below
DIB = Drowning In Bloon
Both are low-level trials formed through the TUT, accessed via the LFG menu on your chat box.
Now i would fully support "Drowning In Bloop".... -

This is a pretty good point. i knew something about it looked a bit off to me. i was actually unable to find any shots of golf bags being worn completely vertically when i searched.

Quote:This.I wouldn't mind if *any* exclusives I've acquired through various means over the years were made available to everyone.
So as far as the thread is concerned i don't really have that much more to say. There is nothing i've gotten/unlocked over the years as one perk or another that i would be bothered if it was added to the market for points or even if it was given away through some other means. That includes my n00b Scooter and Jump Pack. -
Uhm, you do realize that when you put a picture (or anything else that's linked to an outside source) in a post it works by telling everyone's browser to get the picture from the site the picture is hosted on, right? Most forums do not store their own copies of posted images. Avatars, images in posts, and sites linked to in posts are all hosted wherever they were uploaded, be it Google+, Facebook, Flickr or dirtygulchgirls.com. Basically the forums (and many other sites) save on their own bandwidth and storage costs by telling your browser to get the picture from the site that hosts it. If you delete the image where it's actually being hosted there is no longer an image to display.

i think that part of the issue is that when people say they want golden and silver age costumes they're thinking of Alex Ross' repaints in a more photorealistic style. At launch CoH was probably at least 95% Golden Age and Silver Age costume pieces, although i would say much more heavily weighted towards Silver Age. Those original pieces now look low rez and outdated compared to the newer costume sets, but then so did most of the comics of those eras compared to modern comics and Ross' reinterpretations of the older styles. Adding updated versions of the textures and patterns of the Issue 1 costume piece selections, and some newer mask and assorted accessory pieces with actual geometry would be all that's needed to supply Golden and Silver Age costume pieces if you actually want pieces that resemble the comics of that era.
For Crom's sake, Alex Ross' art is not representative of what comics of those eras actually looked like. -

Your options for applying code XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-kb66 are:
(Okay, not quite that possessive about it, but finally getting a valid code for the Kirby Dots was one of the best things today.) -
Quote:For years the Devs have been saying the Rikti Invasion spawning code ignores stealth*. So is it lies or them knowing less about how invasions work than you do?you forgot to mention how stealth powers ruin everything because the rikti can't see your numbers with their inferior tech so they never teleport down
*Although it's not like there is an enemy type that ignores stealth**, so how could they possibly make the invasion code do it?
**Because actually there are multiple critter types that do so. i wonder why they didn't think to use it for the invasions? -
Really it's the polar orbit and seeing stars through it that bother me the most out of all of CoH's lunar anomalies.

That's silly. Especially since they give no indication of the blank pages as being region-specific or otherwise special. Maybe i should change my region to test this.

Quote:Great, now i'm imagining Snape as a street racer.There's also the possibility that their testing work on a Snape drifting AT
Or did you mean shapeshifting AT? If so it's about time they capitalized on lessons learned from making the Kheldian ATs.
i mean, i like Paragon City well enough, better than Praetoria or the Clockwork King dimension, but enough of my characters are from other worlds or dimensions that i'm no Primalist. -

Well, not always as much of an intellectual powerhouse, but close.
Anyway, awesome little reference there, Shagster. Samuraiko definitely deserves a reference as well. -
Quote:Technically we live in an undetermined number of dimensions even if you don't count time for that purpose. One theory even proposes that the universe as we perceive is a holographic projection* of two actual dimensions. And Loop Quantum Gravity works with three-space and doesn't require the various bundles of twisted-up micro-dimensions of String Theory. So we might live in three-dimensional projection of a two-dimensional universe, a three-dimensional universe, or a universe with n dimensions where n is whatever number is required to make the currently popular version of the theory not fall apart. In any event we live in the third dimension about as much as the others depending on the order you number them in.Emperor Cole is from Praetorian Earth; Reichsman is from Axis Earth; Battle Maiden is from War Earth; Statesman is from ...?
PS: Pet peeve: we live in three dimensions. We don't live in "the third dimension".
PPS: We technically don't live in three dimensions (see: physics), but it's close enough for everyday purposes.
*i suppose technically it's the illusion of a three-dimensional universe formed from interference patterns of the actual two-dimensional universe. Eh, whatever. -

Quote:Darnitol! i've obviously been hanging out on the wrong forums!Most gaming communities seem to be stuck in a teenage angst, porn addicted, furry fetish, extreme political opinions bubble.
Then i remember some of the forum posters past who have flared up and faded away like supernovae of gibbering, incoherent lunacy. -

Same here. Really, not the best version of statesmen i've ever seen. For one thing the colour scheme is totally off. The complete lack of discernible human features is another minor issue. There've been many statesmen in the past, and the total lack of detail makes it hard to tell which one(s) the statue is supposed to represent. Even if it was supposed to be the deceased signature hero, Statesman, i can't tell from just a circle and bar.

Personally i hate it when my posts get singed. The burning odor tickles my nose.
That said, i would like to see a revamp/rebuild of the classic launch tights designs with more current texturing techniques. The classic cowls and facemasks associated with gold and silver era superheroes is another item i'd like to see. (Especially an option for the eyes to be white/solidly tinted.) The Jester and Carnie masks are a more specifically themed version of the general sort of piece i'd like to see added.
Actually, while i would like to see new tights versions with more realistic seams and textures, i also think the launch tights patterns also really need a pass to improve their patterns.
