  1. Good point about the prices changing... I forgot that purples and pvp ios used to be a lot less expensive lol.
  2. I was just wondering, if you were to tally up how much you've spent on your scrapper, your most favorite scrapper, respec recipes, enhancements, and anything build related about how much would you say you've spent? I've always been curious if there is anyone else out there as crazy as I am to dump so much influence into one character that it could probably fund about 5 purple builds. I think I have a sickness

I just hate people dieing when they are with me. lol

Since the effect is not that noticeable then I'm going to change back to the End reduction to save me end.

I am however debating on if I should use the 2nd build over the first. As the first build is pretty much set up how I would have it once I get the pvp recipe. Just move two slots around and change Siphon Life. However if I did the 2nd build I would have to buy a complete set that I will just end up discarding once I get it.
I'd make a build with the GA Proc in it at first, it has a large effect on your build, it will let you move slots around and use sets that you normally wouldn't be able to use.
  4. So I was goofing around and I came up with a build that doesn't have the optimal slotting for Siphon Life(cringe) but I managed to squeeze out 10% more of recharge which has SD 4 and some change seconds off of permanent. I just can't get over not having SL with the best slotting...

I'd probably want the Eviscerate one - triple-stacked Follow Up on Eviscerate for great cone damage. On paper, anyway, by 0.006 seconds. So, uh, I guess don't be surprised if it doesn't quite work on your ten billion influence purpled-out toon.
I've often wondered how much people spend on their characters but then I realize that if I were to actually tally up how much I've spent I'd be clinically insane lol.
  6. I'm not sure if the combat logs in game shows enhanced or unenhanced numbers for powers but you could check there under AAo's power numbers. If it doesn't you can look in Mid's, right click the power and it will lock it so it won't jump to another power, go to effects and then it will show you the duration of the taunting effect. Unenhanced it shows 16s and with the taunt enh it shows 24s. I'm not sure how an additional 8 seconds of taunting effect would help, I don't know of a way to quantify that but I've never had any issues with other players peeling off my aggro with just running an end red enh.

I see you came to the dark side muhahaha! Welcome! I have to ask what are your plans for this character? Doing a lot of teaming, soloing AVs, soloing TFs, etc...?

Also if you could add the data chunk to your post, the data link for some reason isn't working.

But I do run Tactics constantly so hopefully that won't effect things too bad. I'd like yalls input on if the recharge gained is worth it. These are still builds without the pvp recipe. >_<
The only small change to the second build I'd make is to put an end red into AAo rather than a taunt to lower your end con. I'm not sure if the duration of the buff is effected by the taunt enhancement or it is just the taunt portion being enhanced. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that it is only the taunt portion.
  9. I have to also point out that unless you're doing arena fighting you won't be using damage chains much in zone pvp. The majority of the fighting is quick in and out and they're gone.
  10. To be quite frank And I'm not sure you'd want to PvP with your dark/shield character. Dark doesn't far well in PvP as it doesn't have a true build up type power, and shield doesn't offer enough defense to really get over the fact that everyone has + to hit in PvP. You'd have to spend a lot shoring up your defense, +hp, + rech, + recovery to really be competitive.
  11. Also check out this link http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...ghlight=Spines

It has mine and a few other peoples spines/dark builds in it.
  12. So I spent the better part of 3 hours trying to kill her, got her down to about 1/4 her health and then wam she'd take off like a bat out of hell. Yep no dice lol
  13. I made a few quick changes to your build, your build is extremely endurance hungry so I had to pare down some of your build and you lost some defense but you also lost a lot of endurance usage.

If Gaiden approves than I know its good, because Gaiden knows how to build builds.
  17. Congrats! You should post up your build so we can disect it and make it stronger, faster, smarter, nanananananananananananana.

  18. That art work is beautiful!
  19. I figured the ranged attacks might be good, Impale specifically due to its long animation.

Yes. This is the one he needs.

You have that first part backward. If you turn on Ninja Run before using the bind, it'll enable CJ while pressing the Key. It's only when NR is already active that it'll reverse the effects. You can turn on CJ outside of the bind any time you want without any side-effects.

Additionally, people with flying characters would use the following:
    /bind w "+forward$$powexecname Hover$$powexecname Fly"

Furthermore, if you don't want to ALWAYS have "SpeedOnDemand" enabled, you can set up bind files to toggle it:

    C:\cohBinds\SpeedOn.txt
    W "+forward$$powexecname Combat Jumping$$powexecname Ninja Run"
    Shift+W "bindloadfile C:\cohBinds\SpeedOff.txt"

    C:\cohBinds\SpeedOff.txt
    W "+forward"
    Shift+W "bindloadfile C:\cohBinds\SpeedOn.txt"

I used Shift+W in this example, but you could use any key as your quick toggle switch if you wanted. Having it in bind files also lets you easily put them on more than one character.
Just make sure you run: "/bindloadfile C:\cohBinds\SpeedOn.txt" to install the whole thing on a toon.
    W "+forward$$powexecname Combat Jumping$$powexecname Ninja Run"

This one currently has it the other way I want it, when I press W it toggles CJ when I need it to toggle NR. How would I change that? Just switch Combat Jumping and Ninja Run in the bind command?

    Macro help

I'd like to make a travel macro that does one of two things, I'd like to be able to switch between ninja run and combat jumping, when I press w i'd like to switch to nr but as soon as i release w it toggles cj. Is that possible?
  22. Dark is not good for PvP I'd roll either an MA, Spines, or Fire /Regen because those are the only real competitive primaries.

  24. Seems okay, I'd just have an issue with the level of enhanced accuracy in your powers. It seems alittle low...
