So long as skill plays a role, they will still have the upper hand through experience. They would forgive an ugly mechanical change that generated targets. But the changes didn't do that, and I don't think they had a real chance of doing so in their current form.

My two reservations are lossing the AoE (although a 30 degree cone is not great) and the 3 sec animaiton for SM. It seems like in an emergency by the time 3 secs are up you will be dead. So it would most likely only get pulled out at the start of tough fights.
Has anyone tired Shadow Meld much and have suggestions. This character will be mostly solo with some small teams.

I have to agree people will go wow when you can wipe an entire spawn out so go for AoE damage from Fire,Electric/Shield if you're looking to impress.

Well I found a few more 1.2% more resistance but now you'd have a higher endurance cost.

I borrowed the idea from Iggy and its putting a Resistance Invention in True Grit. While on the other hand I want to take that slot and put it into Soul Drain so I can slot a Multistrike: Acc/End.

I'm trying to make a scrapper that puts up ludicrously high orange numbers and is ST-focused, attack chain be damned. I'm thinking that this has to be done as a BS/Shield or BS/Elec. The only problem is, I am god-awful at Mids. I've been hammering Mids at work for the past 7 hours or so, going from Mids newbie to.. Mids newbie in the process. My goals have been:
1) Max DamBuffs
2) Max Recharge
3) Max Defense/Resistances
4) No purples (Yet)
But I simply cannot seem to keep track of what I'm doing, and end up just being overwhelmed at all of the things I'm trying to max or just look at the build unsatisfied and start over (and over, and over, and over..). Does anyone know of any helpful tidbits or IO sets specifically to look at? -
I need help quantifying 3% resistance to f/c/e/n/t would do to my survivability.

No offense but that is probably the stupidest justification for not revamping anything in any game. Why? Because unless you can physically see and interpret the data into something that can be useful you won't know what a possible outcome can be. For all you know, fixing PvP could be a huge blessing and bring back a ton of players or it could just stay the same way it is not. With ever Issue comes new content that could have the potential to be a bust, so the developers are taking a gamble with just about everything they publish.

What I said is that a spines scrapper can have a decent ST attack chain (which it can, at least IMO) that tends to do more ST damage than a tanker FM ST attack chain (although that may be debatable since spines really is quite low on the ST attack chain spectrum). I agree that there are other sets that are far more suited to the purpose stated in the original post, What I was trying to do was expose the OP to some out of the box considerations.
I apologize if I was offensive in my presentation but I wanted to try to satiate the OP's obvious enjoyment of AoE damage to focus on the boss killing stated on the post. If I read too much into it then I am probably wrong and that happens on the internet all the time. I was just trying to post a contrasting point of view.

I am not mathematician but I believe you will have some endurance issues if you solo AVs or do Pylon runs. If you're aiming to team, than you will have no problem with this build.
