  10. Soft capping for range defense is excellent, I have it on my archery/energy and soon will have it on my fire/energy and ice/ice blaster. I had my ice/ice blaster soft capped to s/l defense and I wasn't very happy with it. I was getting blown away by Carnies and other non-gun/sword wielding enemies.

  18. I'd say put it into FA or Tactics. It will increase the likely hood of the proc going off.

  20. You're probably going to want to go for Melee defense rather than S/L defense. It is a bit more reliable than s/l defense. Also a PvP Fire/Regeneration build focuses on recharge>hp>recovery>regeneration in that order. Fire/Regeneration is incredibly powerful in PvP but you'd be best to just go with regular common invention IOs for a while so you can learn how to PvP. Its a lot different than PvE.

  23. Here is a quick build that I threw together. Regeneration likes a lot of recharge as well as lot of defense so you'll want to focus on those set bonuses.

    Also Pine that isn't a good way to teach people how to make an effective build. Thats a good way to tell them your opinion.

    A primary reason for this is that you can't get off a 5-10 second attack chain in PvP.

    Burst damage is big primary attack and maybe a secondary attack if your first attack was done in stealth.

    Then possibly a follow up attack several seconds later if you can catch them in time.

    It's not a single run through of your attack chain. That's DPS.
    If you want huge single target damage in a burst then I'd suggest playing a Stalker.

    You can make a Kinetic/Shield Scrapper which does a lot of -Damage!
