Why does it take sofa king long to fill bids way higher than the last five at less than L35!?!??!?! On a more serious note I've had bids for four sets of L30 Touch of death since the middle of December, this is just ridiculous! I say merge the markets! O wait....

WTB L30 touch of death sets

Exactly lvl 30? I can generate some at 25 or 35 right now, but it'll cost you...

Well actually since there are no TFs that cap out at 27 you could also get level 31s since those work for the same TFs.

I've got a couple characters with about six AM's, gunning for level 30. I don't have anyone locked there, though. (I decided "It's been a really long time since I did any Midlevel Crisis work, lemme get on that" earlier this week.)

Are you bidding on recipes or crafted? I want to know where to get these juicy prizes you're offering.

Yep I have a Dam/End/Rech level 30. Dam/Rech level 25. (and 7 apparently Dam/Rech 30's. ) Acc/Dam 25. Dam/End level 25. Proc. level 30.

Let me know what your interested in. Not really interested in turning a profit (since ive had these for a year and haven't used em) so whatever you think is fair is fair.

Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.

I am bidding on recipes because I believe buying crafted enhancements is a rip off

I wouldnt add this if this werent the market forum...

I find the crafted versions lag behind the uncrafted by a day or two....so when theres a huge price spike cause by an obvious reason (recently it was exploit squishing) I go through and buy up a lot of buy it nao crafteds and wait for the price to rise a day later. I was so certain about Kinetic Combats this time around I bought and relisted as fast as I could and had two characters flip all their slots overnight (at 72M per slot profit). It was a good two day run.

Thats the only time I would look to buy a crafted recipe

I do not disagree with this statement but when I really want something I bid on both at prices I am willing to pay just in case it gets listed.

total kick to the gut

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.

When people craft something for a profit, they tend to be careful to list it high. When people are just dumping out base storage or dumping their tray of leftovers after a respec, not so much. And some people just assume that the bids on crafted items will be higher, so they list low.

Personally I find that with patience I can often get really good deals on crafted items.

I don't know the reasons behind this, but for all but the most popular items of all, I find that although the crafted version has been consistently more expensive than the recipe for month after month, occasionally the crafted price is suddenly lower than the recipe price. This usually changes back after a short while, but in one case a niche I was crafting in stayed "inverted" for weeks, then mysteriously returned to its previous cost structure.

I'm not sure in every case whether it's the result of the crafted price actually falling or the recipe price spiking, but in the niche I referred to, it was definitely a case of the crafted version dropping like a rock. I was left holding recipes for a good while that I would have lost money on crafting. So I just did other things on other characters until the price came back up and I was able to list for a profit again.

The moral of this story, so to speak, is that it's worth at least checking the crafted price and availability, particularly if you are having trouble acquiring specific items. You might steal a real bargain, but even if you have to pay somewhat more, actually getting the desired IO at the desired level might still be worth it.

Sure it is, that's why I only sell crafted! Well, that and because i find it a lot easier to store items in enhancement form.

You can get things cheap, or you can get things fast but it's awfully hard to get things fast and cheap. It looks like the mark up for crafted on TOD at that level isn't more than a few mm a piece, so I'd put your bids on the enhancements as well.

Also, it never hurts to throw in some low ball bids on the crafted enhancements. What a lot of people seem to do is see that the recipe is worth a fair amount, then craft it and post it at SELL IT NAO prices on the assumption that someone MUST be bidding a higher amount. I get a lot of enhancements for ridiculously low prices that way.

I bid on TODs about two weeks ago and finally completed a set of TOD for around 100k - 500k a recipe yesterday. However, I wasn't too picky about the levels, so my levels range from as low as 24 and as high as 39.
You can also run tips to get them. 1 A-merit/2 days, so you could've gotten a set in 2*7 days or 2 weeks.
If you really want em, I say work for em instead of waiting for someone to sell it to you for the price that you want. Because if the price that you want is much less than what someone wants for the work that they did running tips, you're not gonna fill your bids.

I think that it wasn't that Santorican wasn't willing to spend inf, it was that he couldn't even find any that were for sale.

Well, last 5 trades for every recipe at level 30 shows all 5 trades in the last week, so I don't see how there are not any for sale.

One could also deduce that since the OP didn't get his bids filled, the last 5 trades weren't his bids.

I've thrown ten level 30 rare IO's up on the market in the last two days. No ToDs, but I've got another ten or fifteen to do. A person can only handle hero merits so fast.

By the way, what do you think is a fair/generous price for a random roll these days? Last time I did it, it was 20 million per recipe/100 million per HM. 30 million?

I've been throwing up level 32 crafted Hero Merit rolls for the past while (chose 32 off a tip from Fulmens). Lately, the Celerity: Stealth, Numina Heal/Recharge (?), Positron's Blast triples and Decimations have all sold briskly and for a good return. Look for fifteen to twenty more level 32 Pool Cs to appear at a Market near you...always hoping to allay the mid level crisis.
