  1. Changed some of the slotting in that build. Lower endurance usage, higher recharge, capped AoE defense but unforunately lower regeneration.

  2. You would not want to put the regen/endurance in energize because it will only stay active 120 seconds after you click energize. You would be better off slotting the regen/end in heal or some auto power that will keep the benefit on all the time.

Yeah at first I thought I was sol but I posted a crazy bid and it filled but either of the two numbers didn't change when I refreshed them a few times.

    AoE Scrapping...

Spines/Dark uses the most endurance out but is the toughest of the three

Spines/Fire does the most damage out of the three

Spines/Electric probably falls squarely in the middle of the two in terms of damage and is probably on par with Fire in terms of survivability.

Yes because having a 60 point endurance crashing in two minutes is worth taking OWTS v.s. Grant Cover right? I think not

Update, I picked up 3 of the Dam/Acc HO's last night and then went to bid on the Heal/End ones and there was only one left with one person bidding. The person must be wanting a fortune for it because I even bid 10.000.000 over the last highest bid ( I never do this ) and no sale.

It was getting late so I grabbed a set of Crushing impacts and ill work on Scat some more tonight.
For whatever reason HO's only show 1 for sale and 1 person bidding, it's some weird bug. Just toss up 3 bids with a reasonable price and they'll fill over night.
  7. I don't have Super Jump in either of those builds I have Super Speed. I two slotted Combat Jumping with those two because it adds defense, recharge, and a small amount of regeneration.

Moment of Glory is good for when you first jump into a group and they all fire on you. It raises your defenses and resistances significantly and does not have any kind of crash.

Passive regeneration only does so much, you either have a lot like 800% to 900% or less and go for other bonuses like defense and recharge. Don't let 50% less passive regeneration scare you because you won't be able to tell the difference.
  8. Did an update this one has less passive regeneration but it has a small amount more of recharge and defense.

SL is my only heal and at 279 HP's a pop it comes in real handy. I will make some changes and go have another chat with this lady. lol
SL is a nice heal but it is also a nice attack so slot accordingly

I changed up your build slightly only dropping Dark Blast in favor of Lucky to boost your AoE defense. I raised your recharge bonuses by a few percent so that should help out. I also got your AoE defense to the soft cap.

Edit: I also slotted Siphon Life for Acc/Dmg/End/Heal, with your global recharge bonus you should be able to chain MG>Smite>SL but I'm not entirely sure lol.

  15. It looks solid if you can save up for the Gladiator's Armor: +Def I really would try to get it. It will give you more flexibility
  16. Me thinks this thread went from informative to full retard in 10.5 pages. I motion a lock

Yep I meant those sorry, long night and not much sleep so I'm out of it today.

Now there used to be some really valid points not to. After all, PvP with Mezz Protection was very broken.

But there is no more PvP Mezz Protection, just Mezz Resistance.

So what is the compelling reason to not allow it anymore? So that heroes and villains can be detoggled by minions? (No, they changed that so only offensive toggles really drop.)

So that bosses are a grave threat? I don't know about you guys, but my corruptor gets waxed pretty dang fast by bosses even when I can move. How is suppressing all my protections and not being able to flee more harsh than that?

Now, just to be fair, I'm not advocating that everyone gets tanker-level protection.

In fact, I'd just add two 'lower-tier' protection levels, built into the different ATs Primary or Secondary.

Low Tier: Defenders, Corruptors, Masterminds. +2 or +3 mezz protection at best. Something to make them feel that they are better than generic minions and lts. (This is where Soldiers of Arachnos generally are, IIRC. A little bit gets rid of a lot of frustration, IMO.)

Low-Mid Tier: Blasters and Kheldians. +4 or +5. For the most part, these ATs are actually a bit heavy melee so need just a bit more to survive in melee.

Mid Tier: Scrappers, Brutes and Stalkers. Lives in melee, but is not the primary aggro-magnet, so needs more than those below them.

High Tier: Tankers, of course. (Dwarf Form Khelds should be about here, but probably would be in this new system.)

    Let fun triumph over inertia!

(Yes, I'm pretty sure I'll get yelled at that there is no problem, please shut up, yadda yadda yadda. Every time I personally have a problem playing one of these 'no-mezz' characters, I'll be right back here visiting.)
    No

I would love this feature in game
  20. Make a regeneration scrapper, don't take any of the heals and only take integration, resilience, and revive.

Or make a blaster without any of its blasts and only take melee powers.

Or make a toggle man spines/dark scrapper with every toggle you can get your hands on and then balance around not having stamina rofl!!!

Actually i have read a few of ur posts on the subject of Dm/Sd scrappers and your enthusiasm for yours kinda gave me the impetus to ahead and make my own . So I have seen your build elsewhere and taken some inspiration from it (pure decadance btw ;P but .v.V.nice). unfortunatley i don't have the readies to be able to afford anything even close to that.

But, I recon I can clock this lot for about 1-2 bill (thats about my budget). So, if ya get anytime on mids in future, and feel like doin something for the poor would be grateful if you could give me your opinion xD

    Thanks again.
For 1 to 2 billion you can create a monster lol. Ha HA I got mids to save to my external hdd! Okay so now...

Okay so looking at your build I changed a few things. In True Grit I six slotted Numina's Convalescence and boosted your regeneration by 50% while adding more +hp. The +hp component will help much more then the resistance portion.

If at all you can I'd highly reccommend slotting Active Defense with Enzyme Exposure, they don't show it in Mid's but it boosts your defense debuff resistance and being that defense is your primary damage mitigation you really want these. I'm not sure what the price is currently, when I got them they were 30 million a piece. I'd definitely try my darndest to get them as they will really help.

In Health I slotted a Miracle: Heal to give your more recovery

I removed a slot from Hasten and put it in True Grit

I'd also reccomend not running Tough if you can avoid it, it will definitely put a hurting on your endurance bar if you're soloing AVs. I usually run tough when I'm on a team and or play main tank. I also removed the Reactive Armor and slotted Aegis for the larger AoE defense buff.

In Fire Ball I slotted Positron's Blast, it is an expensive set but it's bonuses are really good and for this build compliment it.

    Good luck!

And Santorican, I don't think he was suggesting that it SHOULD be swapped out. Obviously Shield Charge makes MUCH more sense thematically. It was an argument about whether or not Shield Charge is now OVERPOWERED, not about if we should swap the powers around. Saying that he'd rather have a damage aura wasn't a SUGGESTION, it was a COMPARISON to support the position that Shield Charge wasn't overpowered.

I don't personally have a dog in this hunt. I didn't even review the math. Shield Charge is great. It will probably soon be even better. But it won't be enough to make me IO out my Broad Sword/Shields instead of my Katana/Dark, and it won't affect my Shields/Dark Melee Tank (much).

Again, no laughing, i NEVER said shield SHOULD get a damage aura, it makes no sense correct. I was COMPARING two powers, thats all.

Some shields it would make sense though, like the elemental/dark shields ie like lighting field/blazing aura/death shroud. Or in general shields that have spikes on them that jab nearby enemies as you move around. But digressing, that is not what i said should happen.
I was simply pointing out how comical it would be IF shield defense got a damage aura. It'd be like stalkers with a shield, now you see me, now you don't.
