Quote:Agreed. But then critics (by that I mean professional ones) would not exist.Criticism is useless if you don't offer a solution or alternative on how to improve the issue at hand. If you're going to tear something apart at least bring something to the table or your critique will just sound like an overgrown puppy tearing up the evening newspaper.
I believe what the problem is has already been addressed. There are some who will refuse to even entertain others opinions, only their own.

Quote:Nope. It looks like I Burned The Toast wins this round.Warning: Incoming Texas_Justice post about how you are lucky to have what you have.
But TJ is right. Setting up the forums for Premies would be a logistics nightmare. So nice idea, but highly unlikely to change. -
I just want the brain-in-a-glass-jar head set from the previous one. I see it from time to time and it looks awesome. I would definitely buy it if I could.

Tangent: Seeing Ultimus's avatar makes me want to run around the office shouting "MAAAAALEEK!!" or ""Vae Victus!!"

That's how I explain exemplaring and AE. -
It's always amusing for me to see people get so bent out of shape over our natural bodily functions.
So leave those poor men alone and do what most patrons would do in a real world situation: move away from them. There's plenty of room around the rest of Pocket D -

Quote:Meh, to each their own. I just don't see the point of keeping a character around after you hit level cap (other than to fund your new lowbie character of course), so I move on to my next new character to work on. But hey, if you like the Incarnate system, more power to you. Just not my cup of tea.Thing is, the incarnate system is a new journey, now with your powerful 50.
-
I agree with QuarriosSoul. Personally, I don't find the Incarnate powers that big of a deal. Once I hit 50 on a character, it's on to the next one for me. It's not the destination but the journey that I like.

Picture this: A shy teenage boy soon finds he has an array of superpowers (basically for story reasons. he can use all current power sets at once) and has to move into a boarding house in Paragon City, But, uh oh! It's for FEMALE superheroes only! With the help of his childhood friend Penelope Yin,wacky hi-jinx ensue as he struggles to control his newfound powers and live in a house with heroines like Swan and Minx.

Whenever I'm at a loss for a character's name, I have one simple rule:
Put your faith in Blast Hardcheese. -
Quote:I agree with you about the off-topic discussions on Help and Broadcast. It's very annoying and I usually end up closing the chat channels for awhile. Plus, sometimes a legitimate question is lost among all the chatter.I don't really *like* Virtue. I have some characters on every server at this point, but Virtue is the only one where people regularly whine and moan about drive-by buffs. I think the quality of player is lower than on some of the less populated servers, HATE the discussions that happen in broadcast and help chat, and I dislike the burden of dealing with role players. Basically, Virtue is full of fussy weirdos. If my only option were to play there, I would not play CoX at all.
I play solo 90% of the time (I'm not much of a talker, so my play-style reflects this) so most of my team experience involves a random TF, SF, or if I'm bored, an occasional DFB. I've yet to have any trouble finding a team when I need one. As for the dealing with roleplayers? Well, I don't roleplay at all (yeah, I'm a non-RPer on a RP server. I feel like I'm the weirdo lol) so I just let the team know that I'm just a regular player, and I haven't had any issues come up.
Of course all of this is just purely anecdotal evidence. YMMV -

Minus the furries, Virtue always been a party. Glad I made the move!
Thanks. Now I'm gonna have to sleep with the light on.
In all seriousness, I like being on Virtue. Maybe it's because I made my first successful level 50 on there. Plus, it's almost impossible NOT to find a party at all hours, at least in my experience. -
Quote:Congratulations on totally missing his point -_-I find it amusing at how terrible it is for people to use their peers to judge challenges and success in a multiplayer game. It's almost like we're social creatures or something.
To reduce it to the absurdity of wanting to control what "other people can/are doing" shows you don't understand what it is you're berating... not that you're above those human beings giving in to their pathetic side. -
I would consider it a slap in the face if we don't get at least one type of mankini.

Quote:I would also look into a horse's mouth. How else can I brush its teeth?I never got the whole "don't look a gift horse in the mouth" thing. I understand what it means... don't examine the teeth of a horse you receive for free to determine it's age, since that can be insulting to the person who gave you the free horse. Or in other words don't worry too much about assessing the worth of a gift, since a free gift is a free gift and should be valued either way. But... really, if you want to use the horse for anything, you DO need to know certain things about it. Examining the horse's teeth to determine it's age (since apparently the person who gave it to you is too much of a jerk to just TELL you) could be very important if you want the horse to race, or breed it, or whatever.
I mean, free is nice and all. But if you want to use that horse for anything, the smart thing to do is open that mouth up and take a good hard look. You'd be a fool not to! -
Quote:Between that, working in customer service , and my psychology background it's a wonder I still have faith in humanity at all.I use to laugh at that movie Idiocracy years ago thinking it was over the top. As the years go by, it becomes less and less over the top and more like an ugly preview of the future that is coming true.
At least the XP booster gave me the excuse I need to start my next character: a KM/Elec stalker *shrug* -

Pocket D (for RPers mostly) and AP(everyone else) are pretty much the defacto social spots in game now. My understanding from other players was that WW was crowded and could be trolled easily. And I thing AP is a simple replacement of the former Galaxy City meeting place.
It doesn't bother me as much as the OP, perhaps because I played alot of what I call "lobby-based" games in the past (PSO comes to mind) -
As long as I don't "cheat" (cheatcodes, hacks, etc) then I consider myself playing the "right" way.
