Quote:I counted three major scenes in the last episode that did not appear in the book -- the scene of Robert, Selmy Barristan, and Jaime recounting their first kills, Jaime and Cersei discussing what to do now that Bran is awake, and Cersei tutoring Jeoffrey on how to be a "good" king.So my curiosity still stands: Will the Game of Thrones TV series stick to the linear plot presented in its source books forever or will it begin to "cherry-pick" bits of the story from different parts of the books to weave a reformulated version? Either way I'd expect it to be an interesting show.
I think we'll continue to see more of these kinds of scenes since the show isn't married to the book's strict PoV structure. For the show, they are important character-building moments. However, I predict the show will continue to be very faithful to the main story elements of the bookk. -
Um... thanks for that very disturbing picture. Well, not really.
Thanks to everyone who came out for Jello Wrestling this evening! Took awhile to round folks up, and took awhile to spawn Hami, but he finally decided to make an appearance. The crew fought through the mitos and weathered the Big News about halfway through, but persevered.
The House of Emerald Strumpets gives special thanks to the Twilight Avengers for the Hami-killing strategy. -
It's really a very cool trial, with some of the best maps in the game.
But yes, the starting requirement of a character within range and the meager rewards means hardly anyone runs it. -
Great turnout for the costume contest tonight! The House of Emerald Strumpets were greatly entertained by all the fantastic costumes and great biographies.
Over 1 billion influence was handed out in a variety of categories. Special "Gratz!" go out to the grand prize winners, Code Zero (male) and Wytchfire (female).
Jello Wrestling tomorrow in the Hive, and don't forget about "Grampa Jones's Ratzi Hunt"! -
Its the 69-Month Anniversary of the House of Emerald Strumpets Supergroup!
Why 69 months? Because when we think of sixty-nine, we think of giving. And to celebrate we want to give back to all of our friends on Guardian Server!

Come to Atlas Park by 8:30 Eastern (5:30 Pacific) on SATURDAY, APRIL 30 and send a tell to Rosa Quartz to get invited to the contest!
JELLO WRESTLING!
Come to The Hive at 8:30 Eastern (5:30 Pacific) on SUNDAY, MAY 1 for the first ever Hamidon Raid hosted by the House of Emerald Strumpets! Depending on how well is goes, it may be the last!
Using the awesome Hamidon-killing strategy perfected by the Twilight Avengers (*waves a big thanks*)
HUNT RATZIS!
Grampa Jones has been fighting Ratzis since the Big One, World War II. Now he needs your help to track down the one that got away unfortunately Grampas memory isnt quite what it was, and hes prone to go off on tangents. Can you maneuver through the Ratzis and Grampas memories to bring down an old foe of Paragon City?

I'm just happy that it looks like Steampunk backpack will have some animation to it. Gives me considerable hope for costume jetpacks in the future.
However, I like the design decision to keep costume parts from actually impacting game functionality. -
With Rularuu being hinted at as a player in the whole "Coming Storm" thing, I'm wondering if we won't get an Issue-sized Shadow Shard revamp someday.

Quote:SPOILERS!!!!!!!I can't recall in the books if that action ever came back to haunt anyone; it seemed mostly to make her feel sad.
Thematically, it foreshadowed her being cut off from her homeland. Same with Arya, who also lost her direwolf, though significantly Nymeria continued to live and become somewhat of a legend in the Riverlands.
Practically, there were many, many times where having a direwolf devoted to her protection would have been helpful to Sansa. -
It would be nice to be able to disable those messages.

Gotta agree with Strato on this one. I've tanked BAF may times, and it's ridiculously easy to pass the aggro back and forth with another tank/brute or two. I actually find it's a fun little mini-game in the middle of an otherwise boring AV beat-down. There's no reason to be sequestered in the first place.
A sequestered tank, even if she's backed off and not gotten her teammates mezzed, is still a useless tank.
And no Wei Jun, that doesn't mean I won't run BAFs with you. -

Pretty sure I've teamed with you several times in the last couple weeks of trial madness, Kinrad. You've been a 5-star teammate.

Quote:Disagree. While the SF does re-use art assets, I enjoyed the writing for the most part (yor villain is very proactive and duplicious) and being able to put the smackdown on four separate factional leaders during the course of only four missions.Sadly, the SF is a bunch of old maps (for the most part) slapped together. The feel of doing that is somewhat sickening...like a million other missions we've run....just a cheap SF slapped together to appease the red side. I guess that power at the end is ok but in no way does it improve the SF. I was hoping this type of cheap add to the game was done with
Now we just need a Moritimer Kal Incarnate pet for the Lore slot for villains who have run the arc. -
Quote:The idea was to use it in one mission of a five-mission arc as a "dream sequence" sort of deal.Go play an Ouro arc and see what happens at the beginning and end of a mission. Unless you've disabled it in your graphic options.
Personally I find the effect bothers my eyeballs so even if people could use it, it'd be best if they didn't. Though there are interesting possibilities for some Golden Age action complete with that aged look.
But since the feature doesn't exist, I will find away around it. And presumably continue to smoke something. -
I thought there was a way to make a mission fade in and out in sepia tone like a Flashback mission.
Is this true, or was I just smoking something?
Thanks. -

While playing the two new trials, you can get Incarnate Thread drops. You use these to craft your components.
Also, a successful trial will give you a reward table where you will be able to get a componant of your choice. The table itself will randomize to rare, uncommon, or common componants.
Finally, completing sections of the trials will get you Astral Merits, which you can break down into threads. Likewise, successful completion of the trials will reward an Emperyan Merit, which can also be broken down.
Hope this helps. -
Please add @MrsMartian on Royal Violet, Fire/Emp.

The Dean MacArthur/Leonard story arcs. Fun yet villainous.
