I just tried, and speaking to a trainer clears /afk status. Most likely, the others do too.
Boo.
EDIT: Sounds like MB's /hide suggestion is your best bet. -
Quote:Agreed, 100%. The only reason I haven't had my own #9 is because I have an acute case of altitus, and whenever I have a decent chunk of cash, I go kit out a toon. Thanks all! I've been casually playing the market since I9, but got really serious when a friend challenged me to race to see who could make a billion the quickest. I've been fairly surprised at how easy making influence really is...
I finally found something where a purple build would benefit it, so I'm saving my pennies and farming for purples. I'm almost at a half billion, so expect to see my first #9 Soon™. Unless I decide to slot up another alt. -
Quote:Probably people thinking you were dissing the server rathr than the game with the same name.Wow, thanks for the negative rep.
3 people felt it in their hearts to give me neg rep because of my post...wtf.
Amazing, we have one hell of a community here.
Thanks
Either that, or the Champions-loving goobers that keep their CoH accounts just to troll the people who still like this game found you.

Quote:Wrong.Moving the Steadfast unique to Deflection will give you a small increase in resistance, and let you have the bonus if you exemplar to 27, where you have it now it only works at lvls 33+
A level 30 Steadfast Protection Res/Def provides its bonus when exemplared to level 27, regardless of where it is slotted. A level 10 Steadfast provides its bonus all the way down to 7, again, regardless of where it is.
IOs that grant special abilities as Set bonuses function exactly like set bonuses. Set bonuses only care about your current combat level. You retain your set bonuses from IOs slotted into powers that you have lost due to exemplaring, provided that the sets are no more than +3 to your current level, or are purple or PVP IOs.
IOs that grant a bonus on use (damage procs, Numina Unique, Kismet Unique, etc) are pretty much the opposite - they continue to function, regardless of their level, whenever the power is activated (or continuously in toggles or autos). -
Try typing /afk before entering one of those screens. I know moving or sending something to a chat channel will clear AFK status. I don't think the respec/enhancement/training/tailor screens will (except a freespec, since typing the command clear status.)
IF I'm correct, anyone sending you a tell while on those screens will get an auto reply reading [Auto-Reply] User is AFK. Or if you enter a message with the /afk command, it will hover that message over your head, and send it as the Auto-Reply.
If I'm wrong, the AFK status will clear as soon as you enter the other screen. In that case, all you can do is back out to reply, or ignore it until you're done. -
I have an over-softcap Kat/SR with teleport for a travel power. He uses Swift+Quickness+Sprint+Set Bonuses to get a pretty high runspeed.
Since CJ and NR can't be on at the same time, I tested him with CJ off and NR on. He's still over the softcap, he rarely has endurance problems, even with NR turned on in combat, and it's bound to a convenient key, so I can turn it off if need be. The build is NOT cheap, but it's not a billion dollar build either. When I get home from work, I'll see if I can come up with a suggestion based on a combination of my build and yours. It will NOT be suitable for levelling up, but should be fine as a level 50 build.
As far as Ninja Run supressing - It does. Watching your runspeed and jump height in your power monitor will confirm this. Heck, if you read the dev and/or community digests, you'll see posts about the recent fix to its suppression in PVP (it was using suppressed Super Jump numbers, instead of its own), and that the bug affecting suppression in PVP was PVP only - PVE suppression was working fine.
Were there any other myths in this thread I needed to bust? :P -
ALL forms of stealth stack with each other - if you can turn them on at the same time.
I have a defender that uses Stealth from the Concealment pool combined with a Stealth IO, and I assure you, it works. -
OP: Did you consider that the person doing the reporting may not have cared in the slightest about the word "gay", which you have mentioned numerous times, and instead the use of the word "God"? One could claim that you took the name of God in vain, which some religious people find VERY offensive.
Short version: You used a word that gets blocked by the language filter in a public channel. This IS a petitionable offense. Whether we agree or not. -
Really?
My hand is never even close to the RSHIFT key when I'm playing, so I don't use LSHIFT or RSHIFT; I just use SHIFT. I'd always thought that all three were vali chords. -
If you've made a typo in the "lbutton", then the bind went to lshift instead of failing. do a /bindsave and check the bind, fix it as necessary, and reload the file after fixing the bind.
For the longest time, my brain insisted that the bind was lshift+lclick, and I got the same results, because lclick isn't a real keyname. -
Quote:Yes. Generally in the cluster of keys just above the arrow keys, between the keyboard and number pad.o..Im kind of dumb..Where is page up?Is it a button on the keyboard?
If you have a three-button mouse, holding the middle button and dragging the mouse will also rotate your camera.
Pressing PrintScreen does two things: First it tells City of Heroes to take a screen shot. By default, it will not have the UI. The file will be saved as a .jpg in the /screenshots folder located in your City of Heroes install directory. Second, it will tell Windows to dump EVERYTHING on the screen into the clipboard to be pasted into a image editor. Find the file for the clean screenshot.
If the saved file does have the UI on it, type /screenshotui 0 to turn it off. -

Quote:Generally, if you are only making one or two, for personal use, and not selling them, most companies neither notice nor care.Wouldn't there be legal issues with this, since the image would be property of NCSoft?
Again, many thanks for your replies!
As soon as you start mass producing and distributing them, whether it's for free, cost, or profit, legal departments start getting concerned.
My suggestion would be to PM Niviene or Avatea and ask them. If they don't know, they'll be able to ask the right person. Make sure you tell them that it's for prsonal use! -
Quote:The page you linked is correct. Bosses have mag 3 mez protect. Mag 3 mez strips them of their protection, but does not mez them. You need to add the 4th point to actually accomplish anything.*shrug* I was going by the wiki which says 3. I don't play controllers so my knowledge of boss mez protection is pretty much that it's greater than 2. Time to get Surveillance out and do some in game checking I guess

The_Larker: Tell me what you find when you search.
Coin: I find the Dev digest, and many posts unrelted to my question.
The_Larker: Did you find this post, or the grasshopper by your keyboard?
Coin: Old man, how is it you find such things?
The_Larker: Young man, how is it you do not? -
Quote:It doesn't log you out - the support section of the website is separate from the Store/Account Management section. Those questions were just to set up your support account - from now on, you'll just need your email address and password to log in to support. Also, not sure if this will help anything but on the NCSoft website you log in and go to support... it logs you out causing you to put in your e-mail address and them question if you are who you say you are. [This just happened to my GF... seriously they "X" out all the codes but the last 4 anyway how can you get that?]
As far as security questions go, I'm always to have them on an account. I couldn't care less about my applied codes. Not only are they mostly blanked out, they're useless once applied. But my account has my credit card info on it. And in a few places on that page, are links to th NCSoft store. If they're going to stop someone from hacking into my account and maxing my card on random stuff, GOOD. -
Quote:The announcement said that the badges would be awarded within a week or two after the end of the time period. I would imagine that a script will be run to grant them during Thursday downtime this week or next.I recall they said we'd get these badges for keeping our accounts active between August 15th and November 15th. My questions are:
Has anyone gotten these badges yet? if not, I guess soon?...
Quote:Also, did they mean to pay for 3 months together or could I have had my card on file so the game auto-renewed monthly which it has since before August 15th. I am hoping I still get these badges and am able to then beta test Going Rogue at some point.
I've heard that lapses of less than 24 hours will not disqualify you, though I cannot confirm it.
If you did not have any days where you could not log in because you hadn't paid, then you're good to go. -

Quote:Assuming it works like Rise to the Challenge's Regen buff, your original assumption would be correct. One of the devs came in and explained that RTTC overlaps a bit, because otherwise, it would completely drop for a fraction of a second. Invincibility in the Invulnerability set works the same way.I've been playing a shield scrapper, and I monitor my damage bonus to try to get the most out of Against All Odds. I've noticed something odd about it though, and I can't figure out exactly what's going on.
When I'm near enemies and getting a Damage Bonus from Against All Odds, the damage bonus changes. It will stay at a particular value for 3-4 seconds, then jump up to almost double that value for maybe half a second, then go back down to the previous value. I'm not sure why that particular behavior though.
I know toggles work by applying a buff every few seconds with a duration as long as the period between buffs, i.e. a 10-second duration buff every 10 seconds. So at first I thought there might just be some overlap, and I'm basically getting it double stacked for a short amount of time, but the weird part is, the damage buff values aren't actually doubled, they're always just short of being doubled.
Anyone got any explanation?
As to why the number isn't an exact double, I'd assume it's because each time the power pulses, it counts the nearby enemies, which is not going to be a constant number. -

The Natural booster is already out. They're NOT gonna be adding new stuff to it.
-
He fixed that bug with MA already, he probably got this as well. You just have to wait for it to go live.

Has anyone tested how Ninja Run interacts with Granite or Rooted?
