Couple of random thoughts. I think your style would work very well in a project like this. On the idea in general, I think it's a good one. One thing I would reccomend is making sure you don't get too bogged down with inside humor that no one outside the 1 hour photo game can relate to. I have a toon (and I'm sure others do to) with a similar back story. Z-Girl is warshade who basically hates the idea of being a superhero and works (poorly I might add) as an assistant manager of a coffee shop. I think your idea can really be funny and interesting but in my opinion the writing will be key as I think you have the art skills to pull off the graphic portion.

Lots of good responses. I've always sorta wondered about the draw for me for free type requests. If someone is offering that's one thing but I dunno, I just find it strange that people seem to think it's ok to ask an artist to work for free and then on top of that expect to be able to critique quality, demand timeliness and such. One of the reasons I got out web development many years ago. Build my website for free. I'll let you put your name on it for credit. That's what I see here. A selfish effort disguised as a business proposition.

Seriously though, even with the incredibly good critique, I really like how your style is unique. There are some things about your art, ie larger head, that do not offend, imo. I kinda like it your way. Understanding anatomy is really important, but there's something to be said for choosing to draw the art the way you want to draw it.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend. Just saying I like the picture. The idea of the gathering struck me as cute. Maybe I've had a hard life. Alcohol, cigarettes and graffiti are not things that disqualify an image from being cute. Now if they were were drinking milk that was past the "use before" date or sitting on couches without the inspection stickers....

They didn't really have that Buck Rogers/Rocketeeresque look to them (for me anyway) so I went with the tights like a more tight fitting jodhpurs. If the pants in the game are going to look right, they really should narrow before they get to the boot. Over thinking it I know. The short answer is I just didn't like the look.

Green Radiance Gift Art
