Let's start a pulp/Golden & Silver Age thread!

I really enjoy seeing all the pulp and Golden Agers. I especially like the Skull there in his original outfit.

Okay, I'll jump in, hope this isn't a trip for biscuits! Here are a few of mine.

The Masked Shrike, two-fisted aviatrix

PinUp Girl, knife-wielding nose art queen

Victory Gardener, homefront heroine with a really green thumb

Cavalry McClellan, sharp-shooting archaeologist

The Scarlet Specter, pulp-influenced dead girl

The Masked Shrike is just so cool! Maybe one day the Scarlet Specter and the Red Phantom should meet!

None of my heroes golden/silver age based, but a few of them have a costume that could be considered close to those ages
Except for Dewgirl, these are linked from the respective characters on my Heri's Heroes page:

Hericane's Silver Age Look

Enacirreh's Penthouse Look

Lady Herricane's Civilian Look - Rocketeer inspired, follows Lady Hericane's, her twin, Civilian X-Men inspired look

Dewgirl - Baja Blast flavor related costume, Silver Age-ish seemed appropriate for some reason.

Here are some of mine from Virtue... I have others, as well.

Doctor Omen -- Apparently I like the white pupils for my magic and mutant characters. Took me forever to get around to making a trenchcoat-wearing character, because I didn't want it to be generic. Not sure if I accomplished that, but I do actually like the look. (His backstory ties in with Monster Child's.)

The Liberty Ace -- Not crazy about the brain blasting powers... if only they weren't pink. I'll probably reroll him when the next round of power proliferation comes out.

Mighty Lad -- One of my all-time favorite designs. After doing 200-some characters, I was bound to hit on one I really liked.

Starina -- One of my earliest characters, from CoH beta back in March '04, still going strong. I want to re-do her outfit while keeping the core "Buck Rogers" feel to it.

ALL Great heroes!

Comrade Hero, I remember you when I first logged on as the American Paladin!

This is a fabulous idea for a thread. I love characters from this era.
OK, here are some of my folks that fit the bill.

Cpt. Buck Flash: Tune in next week for another astonishing episode!

Doc Destruction: Still bitter because Nemesis stole his "Let's take over the capital with robots" idea.

Tesla Cannon: If one more person asks if I'm named after the Clockwork, things are getting messy.

English Electric: Disgraced hero of the war years, he just got re-rolled on Virtue a week ago.

Privyet Comrade! Is horosho good to see some Amerikanski heroes have superior style and distinction.

Bit of an age difference - Gyrfalcon was born in the 1930s, Comrade Hero in the 1970s. Ole Comrade is literally a youngun compared to Gyrfalcon and while he grew up in the Soviet Union, he also saw the rise of the Russian Federation

I dont have any screenshots but I recently designed a character inspired by such characters as doc savage, and adam strange with a bit of some silver age favorites thrown in.

I am still poking around with costume ideas but the character generator seems to lack the essence of what I want.

Oh we do need that shirt, Ironik. And we desperately need real jodhpurs/breeches! (The Goldbrickers get them, it's time to find their tailor.

And a real leather flight helmet would be nice. You can sort of approximate one, but it's not quite the same.

I'd pay good money for a pulp/Golden Age costume pack. But then I'd pay good money for, well, any costume pack. I'm weak that way.

The Justice-Knights featuring Sin Stalker

I think I'd consider Sin Stalker, the main character, a pulp hero.
He is ment to have the same tone as a Shadow or Phantom or Batman.
In this series though its not too pulpy right away or each issue mainly cause... imagine you team a pulp hero with a team of heroes (Justice League or Avengers). So its like when the Question teams with the League.

He is still a pulp guy I am pretty sure.

Let me know what ya think.

Also the first couple of links in that thread dont use, they are to the old hosting site I had.

The enigmatic detective, Mark Question, scribbling notes in his journal. Nice thread idea by the way, I'm a fan of the Pulp theme.

I have a bunch of these guys. Sadly, I don't think I have any pictures of them...

Well, here's Canadian Shield, and his World War II counterpart.
