Seeing as there are a few new NPC's in this Christmas Event (It's Merry Christmas, not Happy Holidays, I don't care, I celebrate Christmas, I'll say what I want, don't like it, tough), anyway...
There should be more badges for the event.
I'm posting this because I hope that maybe the Devs can add these in. Theres around a month left to the event so there could be some time.
An exploration badge for going into the Lord of Winters Domain would be nice and would make sense. Something like: Walking in a Winter Wonder Land or Wonder Land Wanderer.
One badge each for defeating each type of new NPC.
A badge for clicking on the door/present leading to the Lord of Winters Domain.
Also, a badge for reaching 999 Candy Canes and no, trading them doesn't count, it would work like the AE Ticket Badge.
With all of the new things added this year, it doesn't sound like it would take to long to get 999 Candy Canes.
What do you think Ghost Falcon. -
Quote:Quick rundown of what seems to be happening:
1. Collect presents. When enough presents have been collected...
2. A Winter Lord (Giant Monster) spawns. When he is defeated...
3. A huge present appears. Important: this is marked on the map. A countdown starts which is 'preparation time'. When the countdown reaches zero...
4. Anyone who clicks on the huge present is teleported to Lord Winter's Realm. Lord Winter is a huge Winter Lord on top of a hill. Beatdown commences.
5. At 75%, 50% and 25% health, Lord Winter summons the Winter Guardian... a GM Winter Lord. While the Winter Guardian is alive, Lord Winter can't be hurt.
6. Defeating Lord Winter gets you 20 Candy Canes, 6 Reward Merits and the Lord/Lady of Winter Badge.
I'm not sure if 1 actually causes 2, but from what Ghost Falcon said, I think it does.
O_O
So I can assume that there are at least 3 new badge this year?
1 for The Present, 1 for Lord Winter and one for the Winter Guardian.
Hopefully more. -
So what did they add this year?
I'm at school right now so I can't test it. -
I won't be able to make it.
Lego Kids Fest will be using up all of my money and spare time.
Sorry guys. -
Quote:*Claps*Wow...are the comments there always so brutal?
I had no idea so much was at stake with Going Rogue, you think someone here would have said something about the future of the entire NCWest division riding on our expansion pack.
I find this comment particularly amusing
If that's from one of you guys, I'm flattered...but really? You trust me, an animator/VFX artist or Castle, a power designer, over a NCSoft exec who actually knows what they're talking about? Why...because we're chatty here on the forums? Posi I could understand, cause theoretically he'd be the most 'in-the-know'. I would have thought that announcing a long overdue, genuine expansion pack for CoH/CoV could only be viewed as a positive thing for our game. How did someone manage to spin it into a sign of impending doom?
So many comments on NCSoft in relations to unsuccesful games. As someone who was working on Auto Assault when it launched, I've never felt that its failure was due to a lack of support from NCSoft. Quite the opposite, they let us push the launch date quite a ways back for a much needed overhaul and polish phase. Post launch, the game did not do well and rather than completely cut and run, NCSoft still supported the game long enough to try and turn things around. Alas, it just wasn't enough. The game simply failed on it's own merits...but it had more than a fair shot, imo.
I'm not trying to blow smoke up anyone's backside here, but we're doing pretty damn good for an MMO that's heading toward's its 6th birthday and we plan to be here for a while. There have been a lot of talented people who've helped shape this game over the years, and while there have been mis-steps here and there, we really are trying to make the right decisions for the overall benefit of the game that we're all so invested in. It's a tough gig, we've got a lot of hard work ahead of us, but I really do think that the best days are still to come and I hope you guys will stick around for the ride. -

The Real Unstoppable:
When applied, your defense and attacks are increased so that everything can be killed in one hit. Also, powerful attacks against you actually heal you instead of damage you.
(Imagines using this in The Hive) *grin* -
Quote:Don't make me go Larry the Cable Guy on you...Sorry. I don't mean to turn this into a political discussion, but I do feel it necessary to point out that the proper "politically correct" term is "Asian". Oriental should only be used in reference to inanimate objects. Not people. It is very offensive when used that way.

So does this mean that once my Heroes and Villains arrive in Preatoria, they can choose to become a Loyallist or join the Rebellion too?

Quote:Heh, my man hood is my Lego Collection, you can't take it from me! >_<I must be careful how I word this story.
Based off of a movie called "teeth"
There is a fear that all men fear. Where the Colgate Lady of the Dark, will come on Halloween, and take their man hood from them. She will do it by having a surprise in her sarlacc pit, that surprise, will be teeth!!!
No one knows why she does this. Some say it's because she is an evil women who hates men, others say she is a vampire and has a taste for it. No one will ever know.
That is all I can say and I will leave it up to you to decipher. -
Yeah but seeing as me and alot of other people don't have the money/don't want to waste there money on that money pit, I'd rather have 12 free slots with Going Rogue.

Quote:Holy crap.Yep, thanks for posting that Fire Away, that pretty much sums it up perfectly.
It was great talking with you and Cende at the Con as well!
I'm still working on content for bases, and we have some very big plans waiting in the wings, but for right now my main focus is on GR. (In fact, the projects I'm working on are so big I barely have time to get away to post.) -

Quote:Oh and not to mention that the tiny black rubber bands make excellent mini-figure nooses.I did that once, I entered it an on-line contest called, Mass Murder 101.
The point of the contest was to make a model that depicted a scene of dozens-hundreds of people getting killed.
This one guy did a really nice diorama of the St Valentines Day Massacre to.
But the great thing is, my model, The Massacre at the Pinnacle Brewery, won!
I pioneered mini-figure chain saws and spattered blood techniques. I even spelled the word, run, on a wall in big letters using trans-red bricks. Then I used trans-red for blood in the brewing vats.
Although I kind of cheated. I really wanted to go for a natural look with the blood and I was in luck. I stepped into some broken glass by accident and used the blood on the capes and bricks.
It's too bad that my Mom and Dad made me get rid of the model though.
They said it was to grim and disturbing even for me. -

With my getting a pay check again, I might be able to come to this!

Little Timmy caused a mass panic when displaying his "powers" by using Full Auto on the school bullies.
