  1. Cool. Im glad to see i wasnt too far off. Funny thing happen. I couldnt get mids to pop up when I clicked the link so I had to make the changes manualy . While i was doing that, i had a new idea that got rid of kin combat based on most of the changes you made.

pretty much. but you can always skip the dmg aura if you dont want the extra dmg and attention. I did that with my fire/fire scrapper. Dont see me doing that with any /ela i make though. Sigh... yet another set with a tight build. Im still tripping on how one power has changed many people's view on a set. Myself included. That one thing that was wrong with the would be good set was a big one thing wrong. Now about that toxic hole...

  5. I just started playing my DM/SR scrapper after over 2 years of sitting at lvl 7. I got it to lvl 40 over double xp weekend and decided to give a stab at a soft cap build. I know im gonna get some smack about not fighting pool but oh well. i do have some questions though:

    1. How can I get more dmg out with not getting purples or PVP sets and not loose soft ap and without lowering my already low recharge? (anything under perma hasten is low to me )
    2. Would putting the +end proc in siphon life be needed on this build or keep the heals? Can I do the dps chain?
    3. How long would I be able to keep the attack chain going if I can?

I want to be able to do these things without touching the fighting pool or picking up some set mule power. Anyway, check it out and let me have it.

When looking at numbers, i just can't picture how to make something even slightly survivable with it unless going full on the defense bonus with sets. It seems to compete with fire in the less survivable league but without the damage. Even energy aura seems very good compared to Ela.

So anyone could enlighten me on why electric armor is so awesome ?
The main problem I and others had with /ela was that it was pure res. Even though the numbers are higher then the ave res set. Short of draining all end from attackers, you didn't have any other type of protection. The new power has a heal and gives 100% regen buff for 30 seconds. That alone will add to survival. Add that with some recharge (ok, a lot of recharge), some def (say about 20 to 30%), and maybe some regen bonuses. That will raise the survival a great deal.

Check out the brute's version of this topic. The main thing said is about getting to drop the medic pool and making an intesive recharge build. Lightning reflexes is going to help in that goal.

I feel your pain. I have my own /ela horror stories. This changes everything.
  9. The good news is you can soft cap without touching the fighting pool. The bad news is you will need maneuvers if you don't want it to be too expensive. You also don't need the weaken and empower combos. So you can drop the first attack. Nor do you need elude if you soft cap. It could be of use to give you faster recovery and have you zipping around like you just had a can of red bull and a double shot espresso. And just like what would happen if you did that, crash.
You can reach soft cap with fighting and pick up a little res to S/L. Weave would give you more def then maneuvers thus needing less bonuses. That means you will need to replace 3 powers instead of one. You may want conserve power as well with all the constant attacks and so many toggles running.
  10. From what I get out the OP, one scrapper isn't enough so here is my list:
    1. Let's say the OP can't wait for i16 and need something now, my first scrapper is DB/Inv. The super strong taunt aura will work wonders with the aoe combos sweep and attack vitals. And can be a good ST attack set as well.
    2. Still can't wait for i16? DM/SR. I dusted mine off after 2 years of sitting douring double XP weekend. Lvl 40 now and no sets yet and I'm luving it.
3.The first two should be enough for you to tied you over for i16 so that brings me to spine/elec. That combo is going to rival spine/dark and spine/fire for scrapper AOE supremacy. It may even take the crown since it won't be an end hog. All them slows and end drain goodies.
    4. This is my prediction for FoTM elec/SD. I understand why. Two TP AoE attacks, AAO buffing up the dmg of the end draining set, lots of aoes.

Those four should tied you over for now. Have fun.

I'm going to give my axe/elec/mu brute concept a 2nd try. As far as new scrappers, I think ill give spines/elec a try. That's gonna murder the synapse 2x2x2 runs. What about elm? What's the order of powers for the scrappers and tanks? I'm not at home so I can't take a look.
  12. With i16 in closed beta now, the test server will be blocked off. Looks like "All Scrapper ___ TF Sunday" will be on a little break. Feel free to run one of your own on your respected servers. Please post the results, pics, and vids here so we all can see and enjoy. My best built scrappers are all on virtue so feel free to look me up and ill join in on the fun. I guess ill use the time to get my DM/SR scrapper's weight up on Protector. Anyone on that server BTW? I don't know anyone that plays there. (Long story why I have one there). Anyway, happy scrapping everyone. Im sure the next time we run, we will all be multi colored and shockingly scrapperific!!
  13. I would like to hear from someone else on that team and the tank. We would find out if the rest of the team felt that the OP running off doing is own thing was ok with them or not. That answer will settle who is at fault. Also, find out the other teammates reactions of the kicking. In order to say if the OP was at any fault other then forgetting something that was said earlier on will be up to what the other players on that team have to say. From the info we have, the OPs playstyle wasn't a factor in the reason for the kick yet I see a lot of post putting that as part of the blame. If I remember right, the OP said no one objected to this. He just got caught up in scrapper lock and put his hands in the tank's cookie jar (charging romi before him) and was kicked for it. I still stand behind the points I made in my earlier post.
  14. I had that slotted on invis on my tank before I picked up focc acc and switched the slotting for HOs. I couldn't figure how it worked. Invis is a toggle but it isn't reconized as being activated until a mob is near. When I wasn't near a mob, it never fired. It did when I was near a mob. When I moved it to foc acc to get the def bonus, I think I noticed it firing off less in battle but it fired off all the time. I now wonder if this is a chance per mob like if you have it in soul drain or how the +end works in Dark regen just not stacking. Or is it acting like a toggle when the power is active and I was just lucky.

    .
You have given me an idea for the name of my next scrapper. "Pit off the chain" lol
  16. It is true that that a lot of non scrappers don't agree with the gun-ho attitude most scrappers have. It is also true that the team leader did say he wanted to tank romi. With that being said, he should have:
    1. Sent the OP a tell reminding him of this before the last mission started.
    2. Said something of the matter when it was time to plan out what tactic to use on romi.
    3. Told the OP to fall back after he finished herding the 2nd side platform.

That would have been 3 mentions of what he wanted to do in the last mission. After that, if the OP still went in first, he would have been well within his right to kick him. There was a lot going on between the one time the leader mentioned all he wanted to do was tank romi and the time the OP was kicked. Regardless of how gun-ho he was, he didn't deserve to be kicked. To me, this was as pointless of a kick as kicking people in the middle of a mission because of some power they didn't pick up.
  17. On a side note, if you are really into being able to sealth TP, you could get super speed at 14 and put a stealth IO in sprint and it works like stacking COD with the stealth IO. Just no def. Just a thought.
  18. I wouldn't be me if I didnt say this.... I can see it now. Gambit, Kalik, and Donatelo knock offs running around atlas park and cap trying to get in on boss farms. But seriously, if they make it, I see it as a combo set like dual blades. Not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing. and of course Shields would be blocked
  19. I want that guy's global name. Im sure you have a note about him. What a**** *** hole. That guys blacklisted. I hope you sent him a tell saying "ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha"
  20. hmm. maybe you could also work in darkest night. it has a base 10.5% to hit debuff and about 16% with decent slotting and causes -21% dmg reduction. Seeing that you have a lot going on there already, it should stack nicely. and if you really want to do 5 AVs, you may want to get dark consumption. constant fighting and no conserve power is...
  21. I can't jump on mids right now but from what I see, you can change the order of some powers to enable you to 6 slot tactics with GFC. Pull 3 slots from stamina. You will be ok with just the +end proc slotted there. That should get you closer to the soft cap.

I should sleep on that as well. The thinking on this decision is to be more team friendly by not using as many powers that compete with Tankers for aggro. To hit buffs for all the team members that really help Dark Miasma, Radiation, and Kinetics Defenders and controllers Heal and debuff better. A Group Defense buff that gives myself AND my team a defense buff at a cost of a much lower defense bonus. I frequently have a hard time getting to mobs on teams and getting in kills to convince team leaders that I am not leeching XP, so I am now giving extra damage and other buffs to team members in my way as well as to myself. Most teams I go on, insist on cranking up difficulty to the max and I frequently get myself killed since the healers get overhwelmed, so I will now have vengeance to help out the team some until I get a Rez.

This scrapper is gonna be fine.
    A few things about this:

    1. A scrapfender? Blasphemy!! I know you didn't say that but that's what is described.

2.You can't use your vengeance if you are the one that's dead. If I'm wrong about this, ill pick up the cyborg booster pack and turn my Kin/dark defender into a dark nuking kamakazing, veng bait monster.

3.If you want to get hits in, run in right after the tank when he gets the aggro.

4.If you are pulling aggro from the tank then that's the tank problem and they need to get their weight up.

    5. And this *cough* scrapfender build you are considering would make more sense to have both GC and manuvers.

From a fan of scrappers, I ask you to please figure another way to work in leadership that dosent require you to loose the two things (AAO and shield charge) that make that set stand out from the others and pretty much the only reason non themed players would even bother with the set in the first place. Second build or not.(Yall know I'm right)
