The GTX+ is the better card.

Don't worry about the 1gb ram on the 9800GT. 512 is plenty and the higher clock speeds on the GTX+ will make up for it.

I'm on Vista 32 bit and last Monday my PC did the exact same thing.

I had put the cause down to a virus or something of the sort as i had been doing some downloading from Limewire. But now i think about it i had also installed some updates for windows the same day.

Obviously it's not a wide spread problem but there definitely could be something wrong with the updates.

I fixed my problems my booting from disk but, with the same as you, my keyboard wouldn't respond after the initial POST. I got round that by plugging in an old PS/2 keyboard which responded fully.

When i did finally get my machine back on, every driver had either become corrupted or deleted because everything "installed" again. Same with programs. Had to reinstall everything again.


I hope you don't have to deal with that, but if you do, i think it would be safe to say the updates are borked.

I use invis more than phase for evasion at the moment. Phase is used more for nubs standing on trops or something like that, thinking they're safe.

To be fair, when myself and a few other disruption guys joined kickballs, we had no real trouble getting into a few games.

I've got 736% on my PD which gives me about 35 hp/sec with DR on.

So basically, aim for as much as possible without going over 750% ish and without gimping other things, ie. KB protection.

I can't help working out how much money i've given NC every time i get a badge and i must say, even after 5 years it's not that much compared to what things cost now-a-days.

Depending on what your budget is RP, you would probably be better off buying a cheapish dual core system rather than trying to stretch to a really pricey i3/5/7 system.

I know the S775 stuff is getting phased out but because of that, i'm finding prices of those components are dropping in price so they don't get stuck with them.

It might be "old" stuff now, but you would see a huge increase in performance for like £400 that would easily last for 2 years or so.

Only problem is, i'm guessing you don't know how to self build and i don't know if system builders will use S775 stuff any more. I'll have a look.

Which set of servers are you trying to access, the EU or NA ones?

You need a different updater for each set and i would guess that is what your problem may be.

You're right, it's virgin media. I've been getting the same problems a lot more frequently.
