Hamidon Raids On union

Thought that we might use this thread for hamidon raids. Maybe sort of a "calender". But lets see how it goes.

We have now gotten 2 successful raids led by Lawrence, flanked with team leaders who are in the know.
Now raid leading is stressful, so its best to spread this leadership around.
Thus Next Hamidon raid will be led by yours truly.

I would love having the same team leaders with me in this (or if another player wants the experience of leadership I'll grab you).
Lets keep the big jello beaten down and continue on our fine victory streak.

So basicly you are trying to kick sgt off the hami raid leadership and start doing them alone?

I vermy much doubt her intent to be that sinister Seph :P

Even if that was her intent, so what?


Seeing as this is an MMO, no individual person can claim "Hami raid leadership" so no-one can be "kicked"

Lady and Sgt usually work together on raids Seph, I think in fact Sgt is involved on the 27th raid!

I hope so, it just seems kinda rude to suddenly cut someone off like that when sgt has done a lot for the hami raids.

dont think he is bein cut out! everyone can lead lady just saying that the one on the 27th is being led by her! and sure sgt will be there!

Only time will tell i guess.

Right Ladies and gent's here is were i stand.

1. I DO NOT accept anybody causing an argument over me which will make me look like an idiot, if i have a problem with anything you all know me well enough, and i WILL speak my mind.

2. To Stem your quieries, NO i was not aware Lady A was going to set up a raid on the 27th, but as stated by someone previously, there is no "King of the Castle" on a MMO
and anyone can lead as they wish, and for future reference i shall not lead another blue-side hami raid, as i have had my 5 minutes of fame and there are plenty of other capable people out there with the ability to run one. Plus my focus is to get a red-side hami raid up and running as i'm aware there are a lot of people wanting to have a crack of the red-side whip.

3. I wish Lady A the best of luck with her hami raid, But i will not be present as i shall be in Guisborough playing rugby, and with a 2hr journey there and back i doubt i shall be home in time.

4. IF ANYBODY AT ALL HAS ANY PROBLEMS WITH WHAT I HAVE SAID CONTACT ME... DON'T SIT HERE AND ***** AND MAKE ASSUMPTIONS!!!

Too bad that I missed both raids hero side... Obviously heard or read too late.

Aside of that.. I would like to be there for a villain raid and bring the whole SG whit me... Keep me posted on that.

Woa... Not quite what I expected to see in the post. So I'll start by saying my intent.
No, no no nonononono noway am I trying to dispose of Lawrence or kick him out of the game of leadership.

If Lawrence wanted to host more raids (and I hope he will do so in the future) then I would be happy to be under his lead (again ).
I'm thinking strategic though.
My reasons for trying to "host" a raid are as follows.
(These are my feelings and observations)

1. At the end of the last raid, Lawrence said that He did not want to lead another (i assumed) hero side raid. Having the experience myself of one raid attempt (not successful, but that is not important) I can understand why. Cause it is stressful. It becomes less stress if you have good team leaders with you, but it is stressful anyway. So that the stress will not only fall on one player it would be better if there existed more raid leaders.

2. I did promise to host a Hamidon Raid, indeed My hope for the server is that there will be a multitude of Hamidon Raids in the future. How great would it not be if we had regular Hamidon Raids as we heard about pre issue 9? Successful and all that.
Now we got the method and with a lot of experimenting from Lawrence, research into other guides and adaption of this to our server... as I said we now have the method we have capable team leaders, we got the fire (so to speak) on our server for Hami raids. We just have to continue to work on the fundation that Lawrence mostly have laid infront of us. (Thank you Lawrence)

3. If the coordination job falls to only one man or woman then it will be stressful (see 1). I believe it is better to have many potensial coordinators then just one. Less stress on one person and we educate and let others test their abilities in leading the raid. My strategem for the future would be to keep adding to the team leaders (so more get the experience) and who knows we could have raids more often then each fourthnight?

In the end the Hamidon Raid is not one players effort. There is one who leads the team leaders and the team leaders lead their fellow players. Hamidon is a shared effort (as I have stated elsewhere).
Nobody can take the glory from Lawrence from having been the tenacious ponderer and executioner of raids for Union. He has had several attempts where he has tested and honed his skills. He has two successful Raids already on his belt (so to speak).
Thus I go back to the initial opinion of mine and my answer to Seph:
NO, I'm not trying to kick Lawrence out of the game.

When I have had my share of a few raids (as leader) then I hope others will also step up, being inspired by Lawrence and host raids.
Cause I hope to see regular raids on Union. In the end it do not matter who leads them, only that it gets done and we have success. We have the method, we have the achivement of two successful within 2 weeks. I dont want it to stop there, do you?

After the raid was over (Lawrence had logged at that time I believe in having a well deserved toast to himself ) I talked to the few Raid Team leaders that was still online and proposed a date for a new raid.

Well that is my thoughts (or defense) about this issue. Hope it cleared things up. And that we can have a raid the 27'th?
