The trick is to not confuse the two types of non-VIp accounts.
"Free" accounts cannot join SGs - however this game defines "Free" as an account that has spent no cash (either on sub or paragon points) at all.
"Premium" accounts can, as the minimum rank for a premium in the rewards system includes SG access. A premium account has slent money on the game in the past. -
Also, one could open a new account, pay to haves character there poweleveled, and then switched to the main account. All without letting RMT powerlevelers get a hold of your main account info.

Quote:As a Premium player, you cannot interact with the SG registrar - that is the only supergroup limitation. If you are superleader of a supergroup and go premium will you lose superleader status?
So no new bases or SGs, and no paying rent. You can still be superleader (and just have a VIP pay rent) -
Quote:To me it doesn't work even if it does.Is this still happening?
The log in cookie is possibly still set to 24 hours, but we've talked to the appropriate parties about having this changed to 14 days.
The only way the forums (for me) make note of what I've read is if I hit "mark forum read" and the purposefully log out. (and while it has not been common lately although still happening, if it logs me out while I'm in the middle of browsing or even logging in, it marks it all read.)
If I go away, come back, often I'm logged out and nothing read is marked such.
Also, it's still doing the "Different device/ip? LOGOUT!" thing to me, making it a pain if I decide to check the forums on my phone, then later at my home comp or even still on my phone but on cellular data or a different wifi network. -
Quote:Because it's a completely different issue.
The devs gave free respecs when they changed the way powers work so I don't see why they shouldn't be able to create a way to breakdown a crafted incarnate power.
Without a respec, there is no way to change what powers you have. You must respec to change your powers. Especially considering you can only earn so many in game (3/4) and the devs do not consider vet rewards with this kind of thing (and as it is, there are people with no available respecs remaining despite being 7 year vets, on certain characters)
Incarnate powers, you can simply craft a different one. You are not locked into it like other power choices. -
However, I do believe that Castle said that with IOs he could close that "gap" whenever he wanted to. He was leaving that in as a "feature" of the IO system - I think in that case he could just mark that attribute to ignore enhancements. The issue with the Hami-Os is that you can slot HOs - say the defense debuff/End reduction Enzymes - into a power that is meant to be enhanced by defense buff enhancements. To block that side of the exploit would require reworking defense powers to no longer use enhancements for the defense values.

Quote:Filthy hero skin user.Is it just me, or is the board really, unnecessarily wide now? Threads used to look like this sometimes, but only when someone posted a really wide picture that distorted it as such.
Check the General Chat forum or the Community Rep digest for "Forums are borked" or something like that - basically, the hero skin broke. Z and crew are aware of it and working to fix it. -
with the exception of the WST which is basically reset of elegibility vs. being an actual timer, all "Once per [whatever]" timers start when you pick the reward.

Quote:You could try petitioning for it (although this late might be unlikely).I dunno, it didn't work out that way for me. I successfully completed all the missions up until the bomb/kill all mission and the final stupid mob was bugged and stuck in a wall. I could see the mob there, trying to get to me, but I couldn't hit it.
There was literally nothing I could do except watch helplessly as the timer ticked down to zero... and FAIL.
All following missions were completed successfully, but no badge.
Failing because I messed up, sure, I get that, but failing because of a bugged mob? That hurts, heh.
If it ever happens again, just petition and don't turn the mission in. -
Quote:*Starts leveling up Dragon defense vs. the Oort Cloud Assualt*SOMEWHERE ON THE EDGE OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM...
...Oh, yes. Yes, someday they'll regret this. They'll regret the day the kicked me out of the planet club. They are fools for ignoring me. I'll collect my Oort cloud minions and then one day, ONE DAY, I'll return and show them the folly of their ways. For I. AM. PLUTO! And I shall not be denied!
ha. ha. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!! -
It should also be possible to gift SOs to free players (drag over and drop)

Other than something like a Visa gift card or Paypal transfer of the money so he can by them himself, no.

Quote:thats what i did too
im saying its badly designed because its almost impossible to just up and form for it right when it starts, it does not give you enough time for the number of poeple required to successfully complete the eventQuote:I kind of dislike the banner event because it requires a large number of people to be successful and it despawns everything else in the zone.
Two per banner to make them vulnerable, then group up (via ATT or Recall, if you've only ATT use it for the one most out of the way) - before the banner falls, the porter moves to the next banner and assembles. Look at the map to find the "best" route (see which order to go in to min. travel time between any two banners. -
Quote:So i demand an Archetype/Powerset respec. if I had know they would make Dark/Dark blasters, the tank would never have been born. Here is my thought on that. Firstly I dont expect to get everything of the power. I would like to see us have the ability to remove the rare or very rare piece of salvage from it to reuse it later. Thats pretty much all I would want and I dont even expect to get that.
The problem with comparing IO's to the Incarnate stuff is that we have a current amount of IO's that exist. You know whats available for what power. You can plan your build well and even if you want to change it later you can respec, You can now unslot the entire enhancement intact and sell it on the market to get some of your investment of time and influence back.
The Incarnate system is a moving target right now, new abilities are being released without any information prior being available.
For example my Energy/Energy Blaster made the Reactive Interface that is the 75% proc for -damage resistance. If I had know that an Interface was going to be available that allowed for a chance for Energy Damage I would have waited for that as it fits the concept of that character better.
I dont expect and wouldnt as for the ability to get back everything invested. However to get something back would be nice.
It's an MMO. Things change. Things get added.
Quote:Have you LOOKED at the current sidegrade costs? Again, if they gave us this option, following the currently implemented pricing, we'd pay the two most expensive components and drop the third, plus add a few million inf.
They have some neurotic fear that breaking down components gives too much freedom. It takes 60 threads to make an uncommon, but you don't even get 20 out of it if you break it down and it takes more to sidegrade than you get from breaking it down.
First ask them to fix the current breakdown and sidegrade process. Because otherwise they might give you your requested breakdown or sidegrade, but at so high a cost it is completely worthless. And yet they'll say "you asked we delivered". -
Quote:To be fair, the OP was thinking the WST gave a static half level of XP bonus, and then got 2/5 less than that. Therefore, if that was indeed the case, it would of been a nerf. Was the term "nerf" nerfed?
It used to mean something had been changed for the worse, or in some way a forum poster thought was worse. Nowadays it just seems to mean a player didn't get everything he or she wanted, or even that someone is a bit out of sorts or not paying attention.
However, it was just the fact the OP didn't realize the WST XP bonus was a sliding scale bonus. -
Best place to ask/look is the Brute and Build Workshop forums.

Quote:He was mentioning the maker's websiteAlso, you don't know how long that box has been sitting around. With anything like this (video card, motherboard, etc), assume that the included CD can best be used as a coaster under your drink. Always download updated drivers.

Quote:It's there in the test server forum. Not sure where to put this, here or in the dev corner test server... so I'll drop it here.
With the new updater is there a quick way to install the beta/test server? or do I have to download the whole thing again? ... it used to be that you could copy your existing folders, run the updater with the flag changed and it'd just do an update. Is there a way to do this with the new installer/updater?

Start/stop/copy/repair if I recall correctly. -
Quote:Cool, glad that worked for you.So it looks like the ASUS site bundles an older base driver for the ATI chipset. My steps to fixing the problem.
1) Uninstalled the game (might not have been needed).
2) Install the newest updates from ASUS for my graphics card.
3) Install the newest driver from AMD for my graphics card.
4) Reinstalled the game.
Everything seems to be running fine now at full ultra mode. -
Quote:Because they have in the past, and people complained. Some complained (and I'm not sure if they ever were able to change the implementation) because when the Global MotD is changed, it pops up for everyone currently logged in. This seems to be set by the people in Paragon, and currently seems it must be set manually, so even "right after a patch" can be problematic (especially since a patch will go live before the OCR gets into the office)I actually agree it should be in game. Any time a patch note is put on the website it should simultaneously become the message of the day in-game. I've never understood why they don't do that.
The other issue people complained that it was popping up too much at log in and should only be for emergencies.
