But I LIKED the Flying-6-Feet-High-While-Sitting-Down Dwarfs in EQ!
-
Linked from the Herocon forum
Pt 2 is all the GR stuff
Also, learning to use the search page can help out a lot. -
Quote:It will involve a series of missions - no simple "light switch".I've probably seen more threads pointing out "we don't know" than people asking questions... yet they still ask them. Correct me if I'm wrong but the only thing that is certain is that we will be able to switch sides but the particulars of doing so are very much unknown.
Also, we are getting Ultra Mode as part of it but (apparently) it's a freebie.
Demon Summoning and Dual Pistols also coming with it.
Basically... the HeroCon Keynote address stuff. -
Quote:But if you are not in a SG, then you don't have access to it's bins. To let it be otherwise opens up the path to darkness... I mean, possible bug/gltich allowing anyone on your SG's team to come in and clear out the bins.Well if you could retain access to a SG bin
Other people/toons could put stuff in those same bins and then you could take them out. You could also put stuff in and they could take it out. That would be no different than letting heroes and villains trade.
Sounds like a real nice perk for buying going rogue. -
Quote:1) Yes, this has been asked. As of HeroCon, the developers were still working on it.1) If i take a hero to be a villan for example (blasterA) will that blaster be forced out of an existing supergroup. If that blaster is not I think its appropriate to assume the (blasterA) will keep his or hers supergroup rank, prestige, privligages(i.e. using bins, tps, salvage vaults etc...)
2) if the (blasterA) is forced out of the supergroup is everything lost that the (blasterA) has stored saved etc....
3) I ask because my (blasterA) has a bin of purples a bin of pvp ios a bin of reg ios, as well as 5 bins of large insp and multiple bins of orange salvage. So if i were to choose to go badge on him as he is my badger at 672 do i forfeit all the loot i saved as well as his 10 million prestige. Or is there a mechanism for me to keep all that as well as being able to go to the rouge isles
I also know that not enough info is avail as of yet but i havent heard anyone or read anyone asking this. I think this will need to be adressed for long time players and sg leaders as the will be affected.
Thank you for reading this good day...
2 ) Nothing of "yours," as far as the game is concerned, is in the SG storage bins. Yes, theres a log (and note) now about who put in what, but there is no actual ownership.
If you quit your SG (which is what would happen if you side-switched and if SGs don't support members who switch sides) nothing comes with you. Not prestige earned (that's the SG's) - and not anything in storage, except for the Vault, which is merely an access point for the SG-independent Vault Inc. -

Quote:From what I've heard, it can take a few resets to get the database to take to the error fix. Go ahead and petition it once. This happened to me back in October. I sent the petition and was awarded the late reward, but going by my original cycle, my reward is late again. Has this happened to anyone else? Am I on a new cycle? Do I need to petition this again each time I have a reward coming up?
Quote:I should have received my 60 month vet reward yesterday. However, I didin't. When I went to my account it showed: 57 month still pending, total paid time 4 years and 10 months, but it did show I got my 57 month reward on October 2nd. I am not sure what is going on with the vet reward system, but I want my 60 month badge so I can get travel powers at lvl 6. I have sent 4 petitions and still no response.
It shouldn't take 4 days (as someone posted earlier) to get a fix to this.
So, within a few days, you sent four petitions? If that is true, you are being a labor-equine and slowing things up for others. And I don't count weekends. Now, if you've been petition, say, once a week, then you have something to worry about. But the general rule is don't petition something more than once as it slows up the chain for everyone.
I would rather them take 4 days then have something happen and screw up my account further. And it also probably involves tier 2 if not 3 support, since it's changing parts of your account, and may involve access to private info. -
Quote:The biggest reason why walk was made :Ah yes, one of the EXACT arguments against our ever having a Walk power. It's not worth the effort for what is basically an RP tool.
BackAlleyBrawler even mention that the #1 reason walk is set to DIASABLE_ALL powers is because walk, as it is, was 24(?) animations - the basic set of 8, with two more sets of 8 for Huge and Female. To make sure it didn't go make other powers look bad/funky/shoot lasers from the toes thats what they did, because it was a filler/minute-here-minute-there project for BAB. The only other time involved was the minute and half (WAG here :P) for castle to make a new entry in the powers DB and type in the name, set the powers allowed mode, and all that jazz.Quote:Well Walk doesn't need a vehicle design tool. The amount of work required isn't in the same ballpark, it was simply a low priority feature that BABs knocked off during lunch for a month.
Vehnicles would require more time than that, from more people than that. -
So after you run the CoH updater/launcher (which steam launches if you have it set up for you, I think) the "Quit" button never turns to "Next"?

Also, there are Unlockable Contacts.
For you, you might want to try going for the Crimson Revenant or the Slot Machine. The Slot Machine especially is worth it, at least once. -
Nobody has claimed to have it - pre-orders would be eligible, IIRC, the 25th or so if they had no lapses.
It might not be in game yet, and the developers have released nothing about the next vet rewards so far. -
Quote:We simply don't know. Most/all the Ancillaries/Patrons won't port directly over, except maybe Brute/Scrapper and Defender/Blaster, but that's it.So I guess your answer would be you do not know then. Still someone else may have more info from understanding the consequences of having all ATs being able to get Ancillaries and Patrons or from forum searching.
The question is logical. This would be value information to know being that one of the prime reasons I choose Heroes over Villains is that the Ancillaries are better than the Patrons, both in concept and effectiveness. If that didnt exist I would probably be on redside. Knowing in advance would be helpful so I wont waste time lvling a hero when I can be a villain who can get hero ancillaries. -
Any port which gets to the point where it's not interruptible any longer, such as the destination selection screen for the Market Porters, waste the charge when that happens. If there is a selection screen, if the O-portal despwans before you zone... even if you have selected the destination you go no-where.

And the stun proc, technically. But it does nothing to players, now, do to stun griefing.

Someone mentioned the /bind r "nop" for turning off auto as bound to the "R" key.
There is also a /unbind command, (so, /unbind r) but this command returns the key to the default binding, and does not simply remove binds on it (so /unbind R will restore R to autorun) -
Quote:Duh, your right, forgot about that. Not sure how that would work since it based on a per spawn basis and each of these bubblers starts in a different spawn. It would probably require a different sort of code added to the AI that checks for friendly critters in the same area using the same power. Probably not practical to do, but this my opinion without direct knowledge of how the AI is coded. Obviously it works on the applied buffs, but getting critters to run toggles is already a bit tricky from what i recall.

As far as slotting attacks, and the End reduction vs. Damage...
If you are frequently running out of Endurance, slot for Endurance reduction in your attacks/controls/clicks. These are your biggest source of end drain.
And for leadership toggles, first thing I slot is at least one EndRedux IO or DO or SO, because for toggles they are kinda end heavy. -
Quote:Don't know about the others, but it's "for medical use only" here in Oregon.
Growing hemp is illegal in the US, though it can be imported. North Dakota, Hawaii, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Montana, West Virginia, Vermont, and Oregon have laws making it legal to grow hemp, despite the federal law against it.
And ironically, down the street from me (1/4 mile tops) is a guy growing it for him and his mother (cancer, I think, is why they got approved to grow it) right next to the drug rehab center in town... -
Quote:But it's all the same system. They *cant* get it to ignore just the -1 setting on a TF at the moment, but they *can* get it to ignore all of the rep settings.Yes, which is why my suggestion covered only RAISING the difficulty level of TFs, not LOWERING it.

Bringing it back is in the plans, just that pretty much whatever solution they do requires coding time. -
Quote:Here is some good reading for you, I think. If I slot the Winter's Gift (currently level 25) how many levels is the buff good for. Do go away at level 29, like normal enhancements?
That, and the basic rules for set bonuses (which, as a Global and not a proc or a proc-like 120, the Winter's Gift IOs follow.) -
Also, go to the server forums, and enter the server you picked.
At the top (among several) should be a stickied thread about Global Channels for that server - these use the global chat system, and most/all severs have some active channels for teaming, etc. These channels, using the global channel system, are cross server (US and EU are separate though). Which is how some large SGs keep in touch (like www.repeat-offenders.net) -
Sounds like you have Win7... check out the Tech Issues forum.

Quote:Sounds like they need to see if they can work in the Demon Invincibility code - as I recall, CoT demons only let one of them run that aura at a time in a group (not unlike Comm Officers only summoning one portal per group).Only one of them actively buffs you, but the 322958 map has FF/Ice allies with Dispersion Bubble, a passive buff that stacks -- and the map has enough allies to stack to the defense hardcap if you're anything but a tank.
Without the allies, it makes for an interesting exercise in juggling for my Plant/Storm controller. With them, it's borderline exploitative.
