Quote:Bah, this cost me money. Made me realize I have no Sinatra on my iPhone, and you never know when you might need it.

Because at the moment, supression either turns a power off, or merely makes it have no combat effect. If it was the latter, it would still have it's gFX/sFX

Quote:http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/CategoryWow that was quick. And not a single smart@ss remark in the bunch. Thanks for all the answers. What a nice change of pace. Are there "raids" though? Is there an "endgame"?
And I know what an AT is, but what is an MM? I take it this is not a game where people focus a lot on Min/Max'ing their characters then?
efinition
Has a list of definitions of common terms.
Also, there are three URLs people find when looking for a CoH wiki.
www.paragonwiki.com
wiki.cohtitan.com
and the cityofheroes.wikia.com one
The first two are the same site. The third is a clone filled with malware and frequently has it's ads hacked to download virus, etc. Avoid Wikia. -
Quote:The main thing, as far as we know, holding up Power pool customization is coding time - the interface needs to deal with add OR subtract the needed info to the character, as well as manipulating them. Do you choose when you gain the power? You don't have them at creation. Do you force them to go to the tailor?See I would have thought that it was already a priority and that they would already be working on it. I mean, they've been asked about it so many times in similar Q&As/interviews, one would have thought that they'd get the hint.
But if it's really something that's only being talked about as a possibility at this point, then yeah maybe we need to convince them that it's something that should be moved up the list.
The power customization system is NOT complete without pool customization.
And it's not like coding time is freely available at any time otherwise, either.Quote:They might have been a little bit involved with a small expansion that recently launched. You may have heard of it.

" thought for sure SONIC was going to be the Defender Set and Archery was going to BLASTERS. Whoo-boy, this is big news. I'm definitely rolling me an Archery/Archery Defender, baby!" -
Quote:I was referring mostly to the granting of rights of the IP.Marvel's lawsuit would have been thrown out is my guess. If it is considered by the courts to be a copyright violation to create a Wolverine clone in CoH, then the proper person to sue would be the individual player because they are the one actually violating any copyright.

Quote:This is what they went after. There's also the possibility that Marvel went for the claim Time Warner (I think it was) made of Youtube, i.e. that their business model actually relied on users infringing.
Essentially, they were trying to sue Crayola for that spiderman doodle the kid did in kindergarten. -
Quote:x0 just means you've never set your rep at a rep npc.The problem I'm having is that all my new characters seem to start at +0/x0 rather than +0/x1 and the x0 part causes some buggy behavior, like an entire map filled with single spawn mobs of lieutenants that all con orange, red, or even purple. I can't for the life of me figure out how I can be x0 players and the only way to fix the problem is to be able to visit someone to change the difficulty. I have submitted this as a bug but never heard anything on it.

PSU Calc.
Also, in the "Development" subforum (City of Heroes - > English - > Development) is the Tech Issues and Bugs forum - they are your best bet for help. -
Quote:On anything in the in-game store there will be a screen that says "These charges are final, etc, if you push the button" - freebie tokens always show up before that. So, how do we do the transfers? Is it by clicking the "purchase" option on the character screen when you log in?
I've read something about tokens.. but don't know where to "see" these.. and I don't want to wrack up CC charges if there is a different way to access them.

Quote:I'd link to the fish slapping dance, but I'm on my iPhone at the moment.I'm confused about whether this constitutes a stab in the back or just a garden variety slap in the face?

The costumes/boosters are simple account wide flags. Slots, not so much.Quote:Agreed. The part that really confuses me: how does the game know which costume pieces we have access to if the online store is down? Obviously the game tracks the availability of things like the booster pack costume sets differently than it tracks character slots. I guess the big question is why should it? Change it to using a similar system, tie the slots to the account not the store.
Not arbitrarily. It took them a while to hook us up with vet slots after they made purchasable slots available becuase they had to hook up the vet system with the store. The vet system gives you, essentially, a "1 Free Slot" coupon. -

Quote:Which is part of why you are not allowed by the EULA to create characters whose IP you do not control. Here's why you're wrong. You can't affect the ownershiip of Batman by creating a Batman character because you don't have the legal right to assign ownership of the IP. Same reason you can't sell stolen goods.
If you are the legitimate owner of the IP, then you have the ability to enter into a contract transfering ownership of the IP.
Of course, the closest any of this got tested was when Marvel sued Cryptic/NCSoft... Would of been interesting to see how that one ended up. After all, Marvel owns the characters it's underlings were told to make in game

You bought via the store at www.ncsoft.com?
It should of prompted you to apply the code to your account there. If you've logged in, it's all downloaded already (for ease of use, the client includes things you don't have access too anyway - helps with this kinda thing).
Check your master account and see if it a) has any serial codes available, or b) has been applied to your City of account. -
It's giving me the "In-game store is down" message - as such, any extra slots without characters are inaccessible.

For the majority of sets, having an alternate "magic" animation would be nice - well, runic, specifically - like the Rune of Warding. For both blasts and other types of sets. If I'm not mistaken, you could make a collection of them (20?) and then tweak each one (if at all) for the different sets (Control sets, buff sets, blasts, etc.)
-
They request three choices - note at the top of the forums is a "Member's List" link - check that to make sure the name you want is available.

I wonder if they are tied to accounts. I got one for my second account recently as well.

Quote:You bugged that, right? It turns out the problem lies with where you have your Shader Quality set.
If it is set to Lowest, Low (No world bumpmaps), or Low (With world bumpmaps), you won't see patterns on any of the Shields, except Kite.
If it is set to Medium or High, patterns show up as they should.
