Dumb GR question (probably)
There are no difficulty adjusters in Praetoria
Lord Gryphon 50 I/SS Tnk SMA/Taunt
Lots others: Dragon Legion, Dragon Legion Academy & Dragons of Doom
Infinity's Official Stand Up Guy
So I have to run 1-20 at +0/x1 ? Bummer. Oh well, everything else more than makes up for it.

Hello, my name is Soulwind and I have Alt-Itis.
I honestly never change my difficulty until 10 anyway, but it is surprising no difficulty adjustment NPCs were added to the higher level zones.
Then again, with the difficulty a lot of people were reporting in the Praetorian missions in Beta, they may just be +4/x8 already. (That's a joke, I didn't think it was THAT bad)
not to sound snarky, but maybe its to place a restiction on how fast you level so you can't just breeze past all of the praetorian missions - since it is heavily content based.

I'd say it's more likely to encourage grouping. How long until we see padding messages?
The problem I'm having is that all my new characters seem to start at +0/x0 rather than +0/x1 and the x0 part causes some buggy behavior, like an entire map filled with single spawn mobs of lieutenants that all con orange, red, or even purple. I can't for the life of me figure out how I can be x0 players and the only way to fix the problem is to be able to visit someone to change the difficulty. I have submitted this as a bug but never heard anything on it.

Orc&Pie No.53230 There is an orc, and somehow, he got a pie. And you are hungry.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.
Just a quick one.
I really dislike running at +0/x1 difficulty level, but I can't seem to find the Praetorian equivalant to the Hero Corps/Fateweavers to adjust my settings. Admittedly, I didn't get very far last night (I'm still doing Marauder's stuff), as I was too busy making/deleting/making different concepts and costumes.... I know the Wentworth's isn't on the starter island, are the difficulty setting NPCs not there either? |

From what I've heard, there is stuff that will still kill you, even on standard difficulty.

(and the Over The Top death animation...makes me giggle like a school-girl)
So far though, the only deaths my wife and I have had is one time when I forgot to dismiss my Bots while running across the island and they dragged a bunch of red-con bosses over on us while we were reading the next mission briefing from Tunnel Rat.

Also, this x0 on new characters was not there before i17. Previous to i17 my new characters all started at x1.
To be honest, I have no idea why anyone would want to race through the content of and PL through Going Rogue since once it's done your basically back to the the regular game with the new features. If all you want to do is PL through it why not just create a hero of villain to begin with?

It's not about PL, it's about fighting mobs at a difficulty factor/mob quantity that I find enjoyable. Heck, I regularly turn off Exp gain just so I won't out-level my contacts until I'm finished with them. (I'm also rather obsessive about having full happy bars on every contact).
Anyway, as I said, I'll cope with it. I'm enjoying everything enough as is. It just seems a little odd that they (most likely) deliberately left out the difficulty modification NPCs.
I can understand it as an attempt to make sure characters don't zip up to 20 before reaching the end of the necessary arcs to leave Praetoria, but it still strikes me as odd.

Me: I have XP off right now.
Person I'm chatting with: XP off? What's the point of playing if you have XP off?
Thank you for that.
The only difficulty setting I want is to fight Bosses while solo. That would make me happy. =D

I played 7 and a half straight hours Monday night... On average, that can get me to about level 24-26 on red side if I'm playing CASUALLY. I got to level 18, got to Neutropolis, and parked it for the night, frustrated. I came on the next day to find only 3, yes, THREE people in the entire Neutropolis zone. This was after waiting in a 300 person queue on Virtue. You'd think there'd be more people there...
I promptly rage-deleted that toon, rolled my Merc/Pain MM on the RI, levelled from 1-20 in 3 and a half hours, spent another hour and a half enjoying the heck out of 5 tip missions, and parked it, feeling much, much more satisfied than I did in Praetoria.
Once the first 10 levels of "Ooooh, shiny" in Praetoria wears off, it becomes a lot less fun and a lot more micromanaging every little teammate (I'm looking at you Bots masterminds) so that no one dies, because if one person dies, you can expect everyone else to promptly follow. There are many things that I think could be done to make me come back to Praetoria, but after my unpleasant experience with some of the missions, enemy groups, and halved XP, I don't think I'll be going back for a while...

I wanted to adjust my difficulty at first too. I was like "Pshah! What? I can't raise the difficulty? This is gonna be a snooze-fest!"
Then I met me Reistsance...
Then the Syndicate bosses...
Then the Destoryers...
And then I was screaming around like a little girl looking for a way to lower difficulty.

Just a quick one.
