I still would like to see what Silos did, if the Battalion is the Storm, to ensure our annihilation. He specifically states: "I was key to this world's destruction."
Whose world? Our world? Praetoria? War World? Which? When he says world, does he mean the entire string of interconnected Earths? And, if the Battalion have the technology to shatter hundreds of planets and tear apart dimensional barriers... what are we going to do? It still befuddles me that the Rikti were able to beat them back but they are going to be an omgwth! threat to us. I'm not saying the Rikti aren't tough... but their technology isn't so extreme that they could beat inter-dimensional, god-like beings that threaten every plane of existence.
I realize it's a plot point, but the LW must be somewhat deranged; to keep information, hell, war intel!... from us at this point is ludicrous. -

Quote:Aren't the Surviving Eight the only supers from the Alpha Team that survived while maintaining full use of their body/powers (see: Horatio)?I think the assumption is because BaB is one of the "Surviving Eight". Why he is, exactly, isn't really clear. There are plenty of other heroes who survived the Rikti war other than them, so it's not as simple as the only eight who survived the war. So it's easy to assume that he has some sort of affiliation with the Phalanx... maybe as a partial or reserve member, or something... Otherwise, what makes him so special?

Quote:Isn't Fixadyne a good thing on Earth?Bring back The Regulators, I say.
They're as relevant today as they were back in the 70s and 80s.
Especially now there's the potential of Praetorian 'dyne' flooding the streets. I mean, we can jump backwards and forwards between the zones as PCs - who's to say that a nefarious villain (such as a rejuvenated Samuel Frost) hasn't figured out a way to draw the substance over here? -
Quote:It's assumed from here: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Surviving_Eight
The rest of the Surviving 8 were all Freedom Phalanx members.
BaB's has also appeared in promotional art with the other Freedom Phalanx members, such as the recently stated Who Will Die promotional campaign.
There is also the Lord Recluse Strike Force where BaB's is one of the combatents, and the mission objective is to defeat "Statesman and the Freedom Phalanx... not "Statesman, the Freedom Phalanx, and the Remaining Regulator: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Lord_Rec...reedom_Phalanx
For the same promotional reasons, Miss Liberty is also commonly lumped in with the Freedom Phalanx as she is Statesman's Sidekick, despite her own affiliation being The Vindicators.
He's never in the comics with the rest of Phalanx, J. -

Quote:YOU RUINED THE TERRIBLE DISAPPOINTMENT FOR ME!*Raises hand*
I didn't even wait to read this thread. I got home, opened my browser, looked at top thread in this section, promptly updated the beta client, closed the browser, and waited until it was finished updating. I'm back now that I've tasted disappointment...
But holy crap the new intro screen is sweeeeeet.... -

Quote:Because comparing a soft-capped SR to a soft-capped Energy Aura is laughable. Unless you are doing ITF's all day, you can't compare. So long as its extremely easier to soft cap positional defense vs typed, I will never touch this set. True enough its gotten easier but I see no reason to pay more to softcap it.
Pound for pound, SR really stinks, and I have a soft-capped FM/SR Scrapper that I built for soloing AV's. Walk into a 4/8 Rikti mission with "teh uber builds" and see who lasts longer, or goes longer. :3
And, with the new changes, Energy Aura simply will be a knife through butter. Gonna have to roll an EA Scrapper for every primary. Again.
Edit: Or Malta. Or Carnies (yes, even Carnies). A Fortunata can pop you good, but their low resistance means you can rely on your primary to three shot them-ish. The only REAL EA killer is the same thing that kills SR: DE Quartz. -

*raises hand* Updating right now.

*does a dance*
Copied over my main Fire/Rad/Power Corr for respec'ing into Burnout, and my SS/EA brute for the same. Can't wait to see Time/Fire Defenders and the Market.
The Market. Mmmmm, the Market. -

Quote:It's funny, cus I can't imagine not using Fly for MoApex runs! XDHehe, difference of perspective I guess
. I saw the BPOD remark as a claim that it was difficult
. Then again, I'm a compulsive flyer and really really dislike that part of Apex.
I run it on my Fire/Rad Corr and have found out the max range of Blaze is just enough to not have the BPoD drop on my team's heads.
