  1. H'okay, here is my build. It's -10% recharge due to missing Tanker ATO in AoD. The attack chain I have down is Rend Armor ---> Defensive Sweep ---> Gloom ---> Defensive Sweep ----> Rend Armor ---> Defensive Sweep ----> Gloom ----> Build Momentum (Repeat). They are always up, never waiting.

    GIMME DPS CALCULATIONS! Kthx.

Edit: I don't know why, but this is showing less recharge, even without the ATO. Before Hasten, it sits at 138.75%

By the way, Erhnam, just so everyone knows: you are right. Please go to page two for final thoughts.

Had some people on iTrials ask me for this. So, here ya go. Capped to S/L resist, all defense, and some pretty good damage. ST isn't as fast as I'd like, but the AoE damage is insane. I recently duo'd a MoITF and MoKhan with a fire/cold, and did a STF duo, as well as soloing a MoITF with him. Enjoy.

Edit: I suppose this has to be said, even though people should know by now IO's turn Defenders into demigods. This build is a MoTF soloing, BAF door holding, insane-o build that let's you get right in the face of anything you want. During iTrials I bring purples in case I decide to solo a giant spawn (def cap is higher here). This is NOT a rear-guard Defender; this is an Offender of the most ridiculous type.

Second Edit: Take the two slots out of Time Crawl and put them in DF and drop the Mag 2 Hold proc in there from Lockdown, and the final one in Time Stop with an end reduction IO or something of your choosing, allowing you to actually use Time Stop and Time Crawl as real -regen powers.

Edit: The recharge is actually 127.50 before Hasten, due to Defender's Bastion in RoF (that's right, RoF... for lulz :P). Took a pic with GUI, here you go:

  3. Gorō Nyūdō Masamune is most certainly a Legendary Tech figure. His swordsmithing (key word: smithing) is a thing of incomparable quality, all of which would have been impossible without his forge and skill. It was not his skill at swordplay that made him legendary, but certainly his tools.

Archimedes is probably the best example of a Legendary Techno-master. Using mirrors to burn down a fleet? Without his tools, Archimedes wouldn't have done squat.

Kallinikos, inventor of Greek fire. Technological Legend.

Edit: easy way to tell the difference. Could The Kid do what he did with any gun he picked up? Probably. If you knocked his guns out of his hands and then he picked up a random pistol he'd probably kill you pretty quick, still.

Could Masamune do what he (supposedly) did with a regular katana? Nope. But, Musashi almost certainly could. I turn you to the Hozoin spear, plague of samurai. Any Hozoin soldier is tech-based, going simply off the fact that it was invented to counter something and they could do not replicate the feat with, say, a regular pike (the very technique of a Hozoin spear is unique).

To answer the thread: no. Natural heroes don't really do it for me.
  4. I don't see Hasten. I hate you a little more.

...... see you in channel. :3
  5. Why they don't need to do animation ---> real life movies:

  6. IMHO....

The "movie" would have to be a quadlogy.

Part 1 - Start with his mother getting killed by Grand Fisher. Shoot to later, introduce humans and Rukia. Whole movie is a build up for an epic confrontation between Ichigo and Fisher (I realize that doesn't really happen in the manga, like that), movie ends with Byakuya and Renji kidnapping Rukia. Final after credit scene shows her surrounded by Gotei 13 capains and lieutenants. Establish romantic connection between Rukia and Ichigo (the manga is, at it's heart, nothing more than the story of how Ichigo's life changed when meeting Rukia).

Part 2: War on Soul Society. Perhaps call it "Bleach: Those Who Challenge the Gods." epic fighting, Empire Strikes Back as Ichigo and Co delve into the seeming dire circumstances of a betrayal from within. Introduce Aizen at end where he utterly destroys Ichigo in battle. Hougyoko (spell check) removed from Rukia and she begins to die. Ichigo and Co break SS orders and chase Aizen to Limbo (Hueco Mundo)

Part 3: Aizen and Arrancar. In Limbo, Ichigo begins to lose his mind (oh, hai, Hollow Ichigo). Masters it at the end with Rukia's help. Aizen flees to complete his domination of all things.

    Part 4: BANKAI EDITION ENDING!
  7. Preface - most of these people can't act their way out of a paper bag.

Ichigo: Alex Pettyfer (lord, I hate that he looks perfect for the role. Atrocious acting in "4")

Rukia: Christina Ricci (short height and hair, wide eyed)

I hate the humans in Bleach. They are all dead to me. Skip.

Byakuya: Eric Bana (tall, regal looking, and obnoxious. Check)

Kenpachi: Justin Theroux (channeling the crazy dude from Full Throttle.... Ew, I can't believe I brought that movie up)

Shunsui: never mind. Stop making this movie. No one can play the awesome that is the Captain of the 8th.

For the catalyzed ATOs that means you can have either 5 purple sets with +10% rchg or 4 purple sets and an ATO set that gives +10% rchg. But you can't have 5 purple sets and an ATO set that gives +10% rchg.

I'm not nice enough to lie about it, sorry D:
  9. Quick and easy...

I don't suppose the 10% recharge on the catalyzed ATO sets doesn't count against the Rule of Five bonus, does it? :3 I know, silly question.

I'd far rather have a foe that wants to consume everything like Rularuu rather than honing in on a meta-plot artefact that I care nothing for.

But anyway, this isn't helpful. My dislike of current Well Lore is detracting from discussion about the Battalion as it stands now rather than what it might have been. So I apologise for the derail.

I'm having a hard time understanding this sentiment.

The Well = Humanity. It is everything we are and we are everything that is it. It is our collected potential, will, and the force to use them. It is the scientist that is driven to create feats of technological impossibility, the mutant that learns to control his genetics with resolve, the natural warrior who learns how to go +7.5% faster with a little gamble most think unnatural; the Battalion are coming to consume us, everything we are.

Good lord, isn't it MORE awful that they might take our Well and LEAVE US intact, doomed to wander without merit and will? Sure, getting eaten might suck, but... *shiver* imagine if they didn't!

I'm also still, honestly, quite intrigued by a species so powerful the Shivans are their scouts and herald and use intergalactic beings (Kheldians) as their fuel.

If that doesn't excite you or scare you, well, my friend, you've skydived a few too many times and have blown an adrenal gland.

However, as has been pointed out, Rularuu is still very much involved. It's almost like a certain someone has a plot, you might say, to use Rularuu when the Coming Storm of the Battalion arrives.

You're just paranoid. I'm sure there is no plot. Come, let us mend that apophenia of yours!
  12. Easy explanation:

    Battallon eat Wells.
Wells = collected inspiration, knowledge, and personality of entire species.
    Battalion nom nom.
Even if they leave Earth and humans structurally unharmed, our very WILL AND POTENTIAL is gone. We will subsist as nothing but an ash-covered world full of despair and death.

And, you think the Battalion aren't bad***? Let me explain:

Their scouts leveled Galaxy City. The Shivans are the Imperial Probes of the Battalion. Should give you some sense of power scaling. Furthermore, I believe the Rikti actually beat back the Battalion scouting forces by marshaling their entire planet into one collective force, the likes of which have not been seen since; even now, the Lineage of War is a tiny percent of their population.

    Feel free to correct.
  13. Oh, joy. I never get enough time to talk about my villains.

Arachnos Unit BT99F - EM/EA Brute - My original villain back from CoV launch, BT9 is a nine foot tall battle robot that was originally a Crey and American government experimental cyber-soldier. The project was decommissioned after several officials raised "human" (feh) issues. Stolen and reprogrammed by Arachnos, he serves Black Scorpion and Recluse without question (literally, he can't talk, but can emit command prompt via an electronic speaker).

Geist Dieb - SS/EA Brute - Originally a Longbow Spec Ops that managed to infiltrate Grandville Tower, she went rogue after coming into contact with the DESTINY portal. The future she saw was destroyed and home to nothing but rubble, so she pretty much embraced her most selfish values, turning to a life of high-tech thievery. Her patron is Ghost Widow, because she thinks that outliving death sounds pretty good.

Geiger Killer - Ah, my most powerful villain. He is actually the Praetorian version of my main hero, Doctor Scotts. Once a heroic figure and genius of unparalleled skill, he organized the communications between the Resistance, Carnival of Light, and assorted rebellious groups. His best friend was also a freedom fighter, and in one swoop his entire organization was destroyed by Cole. His friend was torn in half by Marauder and his network betrayed. Using the last of his connections, he launched an assault against Anti-Matters portals, enough to stall the Praetor and use them. Unfortunately, he passed through unprotected and had his neurons and sanity fried by the temporal energies. When he arrived on Primal Earth, he pretty much started killing anything he saw. His primary goal is to: A) Kill any version of Marcus Cole. B) Supplant the Primal Doctor Scotts and take over. C) Burn everything he can.*

Addendum: Since Incarnates came out, he has become the Incarnation of Hephaestus, god of smithing. His insanity has been mostly healed and he now fights against Cole and The Coming Storm from a secret base located between the Rogue Isles and Paragon.

  17. I believe all Durakken is trying to say is:

    A) He doesn't believe you think the Earth is six thousand years old. If true, proceed to B. If not, proceed to B1.

    B) If A is true, then you are not as crazy as those people (proceed to C)

    B1) You are crazy.

    C) If A is true and B follows, C dictates you are not a part of these crazy people.

    D) The lion eats you. The End.
  18. Or, all those people who DO believe there is a message or purpose of Pi, can be suffering from one of the most useful and hated human analogy systems:

    Apophenia.

We all have it, in fact, we wouldn't be here if we didn't; well, at least, not as a civilization.

If you think there is a message in Pi, you have apophenia. Or, more extremely, pareidolia. You can quote all this mathematics, and it's fine, it really is (needed, EVEN!), but, at the end of the day, many people fail to compensate for the most important thing:

....you're just a primate staring at the stars, and you have an incredibly overactive analogy-logic system.

    This.

Inevitably, you fall victim to being brief in explanation, which is seen as poor teaching.
