Explain the proc stuff to me if you have time? Have been away for a few issues, muchly appreciated
-
I've played my DM/EA up to around lvl 20 and it is indeed much more fun than it used to be, I'm still on the fence about stalkers though... unsure whether I want to keep playing it in fear of being disappointed (also, the animation times for siphon life & midnight grasp are irritatingly long, doesn't flow like shadow punch / smite do)
-
Long time player, not often a poster
Thought about this thread quite a lot as it's something I've pondered for a long time. Especially lately as I've returned to the game after a break and considering making a DM/EA stalker
However...
There just doesn't seem to be a place for Stalkies aside from casual solo play or small teams, they instantly feel underpowered
Very stuck on what to make for a new full time alt due to this, there definitely is a prejudice against stalkers - I know this as I for one have a large one against them! I'd much rather have a scrapper in my team than a stalker anyday -
Yeah I get the same mate, on 2 different paid accounts, have tried twice a day for 3 days straight now
Spend 2 nights downloading the Beta completely crippling my internet and wasting 6.3GB of disk space for nothing - woo. -
Fire/Fire blaster -- Most fun i've ever had
AoE potential is above any other character just for the sheer amount of AoE's
There's always going to be a Kin in a high level team thesedays which means tasty tasty death all round!
Doesn't need expensive builds, just a tray of awakens.

Mmmm nom, the ice mastery powers look so so good!
-
Nice build mate, I was considering going a smilar route, but would be a shame to lose aid self, for solo play it seems a case of just casting mass hypnosis when it's up in large mobs to keep things calm
I might make a solo build with energy transfer in the mastery just to see how overpowered that becomes =p --266 at base mids is telling me, that's insane! -

Yeah, it's also nice to have some ranged attacks
Powerboost does make aid self incredibly strong however
Now I gotta decide between ice or fire mastery! =p
Fireball on a dom is incredibly powerful [123 base], whereas Ice has full-powered sleet with quick recharge [-30% def, -30% res with 60 sec recharge base] -- which would be very useful for things such as the STF -- also means even more damage!
whorefrost/hibernate are pretty useful also, could be nice to have some AoE damage in team, however that's more of the scrappers/blasters job I guess
Hmm, Mind/Fire/Ice dom for me it looks (:
I'll do Fire/Earth/Fire as my next dom, for some nice AoE killing =p -
Ahh wicked (: thankyou for the replies
I think I'm swaying more to Fire assault despite my initial love for stone, embrace of fire really changes things about in respects to damage [48 Second recharge with a 30 second duration is pretty nice!]
I'd be taking on the AV's with a Shivan on hand just as a side note
Really difficult decision, Blaze at 38 is such a late bloomer, doing badges etc in the late 20's would make Seismic Smash extremely useful -- Dominate + Seismic smash = a held boss
HmmHmm, only a few hours until GR aswell --- Decision time! -
Hiyaa people, making a happy lil' dom when GR goes live in a few days time, adore heroside, so hoping I can solo lots of lovely AV's and solo a few TF's etc (:
Righto, it'll be perma dom with around 170% recharge, I used Liliaceae's AMAZING attack chain calculator [thankyou! -- link here -- http://liliaceae.atspace.com/AttackChainGenerator.html] to plan out the attack chain with the respective recharge times of the 2 sets and got the following;
30 Seconds attack time;
EARTH --
Total Attacks: 18
Total Time: 31.37
Total Delay: 0.92
Percent Delay: 2.93%
Total Endurance: 206.77
EPS: 6.59
Total Damage: 2299.36
DPS: 73.30
DPE: 11.12
30 Seconds attack time;
FIRE --
Total Attacks: 24
Total Time: 30.92
Total Delay: 1.50
Percent Delay: 4.85%
Total Endurance: 221.35
EPS: 7.16
Total Damage: 2732.68
DPS: 88.38
DPE: 12.35
Fire does have a higher DPS, however I'll be using my control powers also whilst fighting an AV, which makes this difficult as stone has 2 main powers which are more powerful than fire
Fire;
Incinerate: 123.8 Base
Blaze: 168 Base
Earth;
Heavy mallet: 133.1 Base
Seismic Smash: 207.9 Base
Seismic smash also doubles as a handy mag 3 hold -- which is nice
Earth does seem like a more interesting set, have played many fire melee / blast characters before -- Just wondering if there's anyone out there having good success with earth melee & AV's (: It doesn't seem to get much limelight!
Thanks guys, appreciate any replies -
Quote:Nice to see there's people who are exactly like me! =p1 could make a killing on lev 25 accuracies and end red alone. I just came back after a couple months off and they are hitting 400k.... REALLY? Ouch. Even for a multi billionaire, im not paying ridiculous amounts. It cost like 10grand to make or so. (if memorized)
Have around 4.5 Billion liquid inf and around another 2 billion in assets yet I wouldn't pay 400k for something like that heh -- Cheapskates unite! -
Wow, haven't been on Defiant for around 2 years now, amazing to see my SG still in the top 50! (: [The Insane Asylum - 39]

Intro
I believe that the inspirations given in the 'Kora' missions should be upgraded back to their original large tier state.
Fire Base Zulu [FBZ] is one of those zones that an extremely small population of this game goes to, often for many it is simply the zone that they accidentally went to when they clicked on the wrong portal in Peregrine Island.
What are Kora missions?
In Fire Base Zulu, after doing a few contacts, players can do missions where they defeat Rularuu in varying sized caves, and harvest Kora fruit.
These Kora fruit would give large tier inspirations, the missions were often extremely far apart FBZ is a zone which is 2.09 miles from end to end and fighting one of the hardest foe type in the game.
The rewards, although small, were nerfed by the developers as they were worried that base storage would mean that people would farm these fruit and sell them on the market. The Kora fruit only give medium sized inspirations now.
We were told it would be a temporary change, but all I can see is that the issue has been forgotten.
Why do I want the large insps back?
I can vaguely understand why the developers would do this, but now I shall explain why this change has no place in the game anymore.
Below is a screenshot of some market sales I made yesterday, I spent around 40 minutes doing some 'farm' missions in AE on a solo character, it is EASILY possible for anybody to do this, and it involves extremely little risk, time or effort -- unlike the Kora missions
That's 231,000,000 inf from sales of IO's earnt with no exploits and within the standard game mechanics, in around 40 mins - 1 hour of work
Now is a screenshot of a few large inspirations and their selling price;
I do not believe it is a risk putting Kora missions back to their original state and giving large inspirations because of this. The rewards for doing Kora missions is extremely small in comparison to what players are able to do if they wanted to 'farm'.
This change no longer applys to the state of the game.
Conclusion
Fire Base Zulu is a forgotten zone, PLEASE developers, let these missions provide large inspirations again. The missions' significant challenge, risk and time required more than warrant large inspirations to be given.
Players will always have better options to farm influence rather selling a couple of large inspirations on the market, Kora missions used to be a great part of my gaming style, I found the missions fun, in an amazing zone with good rewards
Fire Base Zulu is an amazing place, along with the Storm Palace / Chantry etc, they are zones which really show off the creative side of the developers and are inspiring -- Please give respect back to the zone with this small change
Thankyou for your time reading players, developers

Ahh made this thread so long ago, googled "city of heroes ticket rolls" to find a similar thread and only came up with my own haha =p
So... bump!
Silver 35-39 are working the best for me, Touch of Death, Obliteration, Luck of the Gambler, Positron's Blast & Kinetic Combat mainly
Considering trying the 10-14 Bronze with 9999 tickets later on if they sell for much when crafted
Does anyone bother with Gold rolls? If so, what do you get -
I quite like the alternative to Eagles Claw, can run around punching things to death =p
-
It's fixed, had to change the general setting to change all kicks to punches n is now working fine on my MA/Shield (:
-
Ahh
Didn't see the setting for a general option to change all to punches
>.>
Fail =p
Thankyou (:
-
Hiyaa people, I tried changing the power animations on ma new MA character [Only lvl 8 atm] and they won't change?
Set them to punches in the character creation, but they have remained the same - however my colour changes have been implemented
Went to Icon, tells me that they are on the settings for punches etc, but ma character is still kicking away :')
Any reasons?
Thanks(:

Quote:As the people who farm have a much higher chance of having a purple recipe drop, as they are killing more foes
Why should a player that likes to run TFs or SFs or SG teams etc. hard work have less of a chance to earn a reward then the hard work of someone that takes one mission and spends hours a night doing nothingbut killing the same mobs over and over agian?
Soz that you didn't learn maths, but stop crying, the WHAAAAAAMULANCE is currently out of service due to the rediculous number of babies who can't accept that there are means and methods of getting mass amounts of influence WITHOUT farming
-
It's sad that we must now leave this thread... Ima miss it =p

So what was todays patch?
Did 2 runs of my Demon farm @ +0 x5 & +0 x8 and got 19 Recipes, 5 of which were uncommon set recipes
Infact, I dualboxed it and both my characters had 19 recipes with about 3-5 uncommon set recipes
