If it bothers you, just start up your own subplot/rumours about a randy shapechanger who pretends to be Captain Mako in order to sleep with gullible young villains.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think I just figured out what my Broadsword stalker's character concept will be once i16 hits. -
Actually, it looks like they're not down for all servers.
It's down on Virtue, but up on Freedom. I've noticed this, and had it confirmed by one other person. -
I think the person leaving the notes is Professor Echo.

And even though you need to go into a TF to see it, pretty much the whole Crystal Guardian map. Giant bones and such sticking out, a different texture from anywhere else - Really wish we had more areas like that.
[/ QUOTE ]
From the Eden Trial? You can access part of that map in the arena, and now you can pick it with just 2 people. -
[ QUOTE ]
I support the farmers who earn their Inf. RMT is not the issue at hand.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, he's talking about people PLed in AE, and then buying a ton of cash off of the RMT folks. From what I can see, he didn't say anything about farmers at all. And when a more reasonable answer was pointed out, he changed his mind about what he had seen.
Are you sure you're in the right argument? -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
Maybe because they had no experience with the topic and couldn't possibly have known anything.
[/ QUOTE ]
They knew enough to blame the evil farmers. *ahem* AE babies.
[/ QUOTE ]
Given what you're likely to hear when you pass through Atlas or Cap, it's hard not to know something about that. And the RMTers keep dumping stuff in our in-game email boxes all the time.
And to be honest, I jumped to the same conclusion as he did at first. Sure, the transfer makes more sense, but... I'm sure we've all delt with enough stupid people that we can believe someone WOULD pay that much for those things. Especally if they don't know the game and are spending "easy" money. -
[ QUOTE ]
Micro-transactions suck in general, squeezing more money out of us. But in this case those hard-working creative people generating content in AE should get something in return. If a free slot is not forthcoming, at least make additional story slots earnable or a veteran reward.
In general it would be nice to see architects rewarded for their efforts instead of just having another hand shoved at 'em and being told "Gimme."
[/ QUOTE ]
By having a story marked Hall of Fame or Dev's Choice, you CAN earn an extra slot (in a manner of speaking).
Also, people that rate your arcs 3 or more stars give you tickets that you can claim with any character on that account. If you make an arc that gets a lot of plays and high ratings, you get a lot of tickets. How you use them is up to you, but they are an in-game reward for making good arcs. -

What really excites me about the Super Tailor is the idea of turning every costume slot into an entirely different character and concept under some generic name. My oldest toon is a DM/Regen whose character has refused to click for me for three years, but I've had a couple other concepts for the combo I've avoided rolling fresh because I don't want duplicate builds and which needed different body types or height from the original. Now I'll just cross my fingers for more build slots to dink around with.

I have a character, well two characters, on Freedom to play with some friends. One character on each of my two accounts, level pacted with each other, to simulate him changing size as he channels different spirits and takes different forms.
If I'm willing to give up the two vastly different power sets he uses (and I am), I can remake him and do away with that annoying level pact! -
I guess that means that now is a good time to do that name change I'd been thinking about.

The powers Pocket D teleport, Base teleport, and Mission teleport are all getting interrupted somehow. In both animation and power execution. I will not be using anything, not even touching my mouse and the power will fail sometimes. Sometimes I can see the animations getting briefly interrupted and then quickly going back to continue the "casting teleport" animation.
[/ QUOTE ]
I believe that having someone summon or despawn an Oro portal nearby causes this.
Bug: Incorrect animation for Enervating Field.
Model: Male
AT: Defender. Rad/Rad
To create: Call up the Nemesis Staff Vet power, and target an opponent. While the staff is out, activate Enervating Field. The character will take the staff in both hands and use it to "fling" the energy at the target. The staff stays in the hands after the animation is finished.
Notes: This is a very cool animation. I wouldn't mind seeing this turn up somewhere else for us to use. Cool or not though, I think this is a bug. -
[ QUOTE ]
They both have access to the tram, sewers, and the nearby park (Perez) but Atlas also offers a quick jump to the Hollows.
[/ QUOTE ]
Incorrect. There is actually no sewer access in Galaxy City.
And some of us DO still RP in Gemini Park every now and then. -
I need to figure out how to make a VirtueVerse page for a character first.
Then I need to spend a week or three getting all of my important characters up there.
THEN I'll get to worry about if I edit other people's pages or not. -
As for Team Teleport, this is what I'd like to see it replaced with, or offered as a 5th power in the pool:
Translocate: This power moves you to your current waypoint on your current map. If that space is occupied, the user may be shifted slightly to make room. This power can not move you to another zone, and may leave you far above the ground. This power has a 10 second interrupt time (Like the Pocket D teleport).
Basically, if you have an in-zone waypoint selected on your map, this is a teleport that will move you to that point. Any selectable waypoint will work. Stores, doorways to other zones, train station/ferry, current mission, "thumbtacks", and even other teammates.
What it won't do is take you to another zone or promise you any kind of safe arrival. I'd also suggest having the 5 second hover when you appear, given that some targets (especally thumbtacks) can leave you very high up when you appear. I'd be willing to do without that, though. -
I tend to save it for when I'm about to die anyway. If I'm fast enough, I can hit it and save myself from getting debt while doing some extra damage as I fall.
I also like hitting it right before I level. I charge in, blow up, and the EXP I get from the ones that die pushes me into next level. That revives me, and gives me the buffs to start beating on things right away. I've misjudged that, though, and wound up dead with not quite enough EXP to make it to the next level. I've also had teammates kill faster than I expected, so that I leveled up BEFORE the count down reached 0. *laughs* -

Does anyone remember when the Devs said that there would never be more than one issue without Proliferation at a time? That kinda gave the impression of having it every OTHER issue, didn't it?
[/ QUOTE ]
I think they said that about Proliferation and new IO sets together, as in we'd have one or the other fairly regularly.
I expect some proliferation in i16, though. If they're getting ready for characters to cross sides, they'll be taking a look at the ATs and powersets to make sure nothing outperforms or underperforms enough to be a problem. That's also one of the first steps in transfering the powersets from one AT to another, so I suspect that they'll take it the rest of the way with a few sets. -
[ QUOTE ]
I'm still playing catch up on the animations available in the mission architect. There were a couple of things on that list that shouldn't have gone on there, and a number of things that don't appear to be working correctly. I've been spending quite a bit of time sorting out encounter animations and emote animations trying to get everything doing what it's supposed to be doing.
[/ QUOTE ]
Did you know that the Unconcious poses for "Unaware" and after they're rescued are different? Set them both, and when you get close after defeating the guards, they move one of their legs into a new position.
And then they'll either get up and run away (rescue) or stand there and stare at you like an idiot (Ally, set to do nothing). This makes it very hard to make a dead body in the MA. -
[ QUOTE ]
Yeah people I know who brought me back to CoX didn't like the term MRP because usually they felt it lead to the same crap, just another way to get off. :P
Personally I'm an MRPer, if stuff happens... well hey, "shiat" happens. But I don't purposefully go around looking for "stuff" to "do". Otherwise to me MRP is all about being mature about what is described or done in a RP format. Cursing, body language, violence, gory descriptions, etc/etc.
Like an R-rating pretty much.

I couldn't agree more. -
Arc Name: In the Key of Coyote
Arc ID: 110002
Faction: Heroic
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Rabid Metroid
Difficulty Level: Nothing higher than a Boss.
Synopsis: Help the Legacy Chain obtain a dangerous artifact before it falls into the wrong hands.
Estimated Time to Play: I can never tell, but it lists as Very Long
This is actually the first of four arcs in "A Wolf At the Gate". It can stand alone on its own, however. No ETA on when the second one, "Dead Howl", will be ready. I want feedback on this one before I begin to make the next. -
Arc Name: Human Resources
Arc ID: 83216
Faction: Villainous
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Rabid Metroid
Difficulty Level: Medium
Synopsis: Collect people and send them to various horrid fates, and get paid for it.
Estimated Time to Play: Dunno, but it's going to be kinda long.
No killer bosses of any kind, but there's one large outdoor map and 3 of the 5 missions have multiple escorts on them.
Also, I made this for all the people that want their villains to do more downright EVIL things. Heroes and anti-heroes need not apply.
PS.: Yes, I have two accounts. @Palador and @Rabid Metroid. I'll be putting out stories on both. -
I've found myself dealing with some stinker missions/arcs that, under it all, have the beginings of something great. But because I feel I have to give it a low rating, I don't want to attach my name to that rating in any way.
In the end, I've given the lower ratings if I feel I must, and skipped the comments and feedback. I don't want someone coming after my arcs and giving them low ratings as payback for being honest with them.
A few times, rather than give a low rating and not explaining why, I've not even rated them. Lame, I know, but there's no good solution at the moment. -
Arc Name: A Demonic Love Story
Arc ID: 1103
Faction: Villain (Trust me on this one)
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Palador
Difficulty Level: Low. (No AV/EB fights)
Synopsis: A powerful demon has fallen in love, but the subject of his affections doesn't know. Help him to win her over.
Arc Name: RMTerror
Arc ID: 1112
Faction: Neutral (with Heroic leanings)
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Palador
Difficulty Level: Low
Synopsis: RMT hackers have invaded the AE computer networks. Help Digital Lucifer track them down and put a stop to it, before they destabalize the AE computers and all the extra systems hidden within them!
I'm a rotten judge on "Time to play", as I've been through them so often in testing that I know them by heart. Neither one should take too long, though. I tried to make them both solo-friendly, too. -

Merits are supposed to streamline the reward process for that character
[/ QUOTE ]
How so? By killing the supply on the market?
[/ QUOTE ]
You have to admit, it's streamlined...
Posi, if a mission gets marked for Hall of Fame or Dev's Choice, it's no longer "our" mission, and moved out of our slots. Will we still get tickets for people playing through it? -
[ QUOTE ]
And you can't publish a mission that can't be "beaten". It might be hard, but the error checking makes sure that whatever you make is possible to complete.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not that I don't believe you, but once this goes to Open Beta, I intend to attack the MA with hammer, drill, and demon posessed rubber duckies until I prove you wrong. It's one of the aspects of MA that I've been planning to go after as soon as I can.
I figure it will take me one day, at most. By then, I'll have either broken it, or been distracted by some shiny new toy in the MA and be trying to break that instead. -
[ QUOTE ]
-- Is there a better interface for editing mission text in the Mission Creator than the "ID Card" screen or the "Supergroup" screen? (Font size, color, etc., at it's best, to be able to reproduce the same effects as on Meg Mason's dialogs.) That would be most awesome.
[/ QUOTE ]
They've said that the files will be saved on your computer as text files, so you can edit them offline. -
[ QUOTE ]
Will players have to complete arcs before they are able to rate them (please, please, to make it harder to grief or game the system).
[/ QUOTE ]
If they have to complete them before rating them, how do they give low ratings to ones that can't be beaten?
(See your previous post for an example of when they'd want to do this.)
