My group's take on more freeform PnP RP with a very silly bent was the "d1000 table", it did involve dice rolling, sure, but the results were usually hilarious.
Entries on the table included;
- Summon Covert Assault Paciderms
- Summon religious icon
- Gender inversion
- Apply lovecraftian attributes to all small cute things in a 30km radius
- Vampire cupcakes
- Coin Flip: Heads destroys the universe, tails fizzles
Great way to spend time on a dull afternoon. -
Somebody call the Whaaaaaaaambulance. Seriously.

As the GM of a currently running game in the Big Eyes Small Mouth system, I can support this list wholesale.

I coloured the powers of Danmaku, my EN Blaster from Red to Violet as they go up the power tiers. Rainbow shooting fun, it's like the Disco-apoc from EVE Online all over again.

Reimu, Marisa and others tackle "incidents" with surprising amounts of firepower, usually in relation to;

- Eirin's shady new drug
- Yukari is fooling around again
- It's a Moriya Shrine conspiracy -

Quote:I must admit, I'm a fan of this as well. Thanks for the clarification. I've never considered forum roleplay being totally separate to the in-game world. I'm not sure I'd enjoy it like that. Kind of used to forum stories being an advancement of what happens in-game and vice versa. Character development and all that.
What happened to Edward (Dr. Mechano) in forum RP then what happened ingame was quite interesting in a number of ways. -
Front: This t-shirt is a Nemesis plot
Back: This t-shirt isn't a Nemesis plot -

DnD 4th Ed:
- My wizard is a 31 year old recently ex-student who was only removed from his almost permanent residence in the academy library for running up a late book fine large enough to bankrupt a small country.
- He has terrible accuracy with spells, one magic missile shot his swordmage teammate into a gelatenous cube, he has been grabbed by his own Icy Grasp, and managed to perform some interesting interior redecoration by misfiring Colour Spray at a dungeon ceiling.
Cyberpunk 2020
- During intersession downtime, my corp suffered a mental breakdown due to paperwork overload (Team crashed a 1.2mil e.b Mercades AV into corp property) and now has a level in Bureaucracy.
- Our fixer has a manic phobia of cleaning bots and shoots to kill on sight. Plus, he's woken up in a dress, twice.
Bastardised NWoD (A trilogy movie game with 300xp given to all participants, the game originally started on the Discworld).
- The party's quest was to originally find a Golden Muffin Tin, the party managed to destroy a large empire while trying to accomplish this.
- My l-space librarian character ("Librarian Kei, this is a reality check"), uses high level fate magic to give people who return books late exceptionally bad luck.
That last game was run just this evening, but we can't run the next session until all the players are back together again, which might take some more months. -
Yeah, the European districts were hella busy when I logged in a little while ago. Not down to silly levels like during the Winter Events (Welcome to Lion's Arch District 34, for example), but busy nonetheless.

Echoing others in this thread, GW is my ultimate "fallback" multiplayer game, when I can't be arsed to play any MMOs. I've paid for it once and don't need to pay for it again outside of account services.
I did buy the PVP Skill Unlock packs, but that was when they had a sale (They were £1.99 each or something), and it was just after Christmas, so I had money to burn.
Still haven't finished Eye of the North's campaign. -

Graphics update - probably, but hopefully along the lines of EVE, where you don't have to use it if your system can't handle it.

Latest update for EVE Online made the "Premium" client the basic client, increasing the graphics requirements to a card with Shader Model 2 and above. There's some sort of "Premium Lite" (SM2)/"Actual Premium" (SM3+) division, but the old graphics were done away with completly.
No SM2 card? Get buying, game won't run for you no more. -
My dream locations are usually made up of mashups of concepts and locations, both fictional and real. So while I can't recall any CoX dreaming, I'm sure an element of Paragon City's architecture has snuck in somewhere...

Dumping all my yellow tokens on Liverpool Street to prevent the irritating bifurication event at Bond Street when someone plays a left-handed station using the Third.
This also allows me to play Westminster, reversing the LV on the District and Circle lines.
