For now, it's a screen with them standing there for the sake of standing there. I really doubt that Marauder is actually going to be the Atlas Park trainer, but with that said...
When are they going to pull the real BABs from his sulking spot in the east police station? -
There are things that I want that I can't currently have (Prestige Power Slide being the big, big one) and there are things like the Dark Matter aura that I do have and wouldn't mind letting others have the ability to get at any point. I'm at the point, though, where I've started to become hopeful yet wary when I see the "exclusive" argument brought up.
-
You don't need to have a second monitor, just have two browser windows open and visible. I did this on my netbook which has a somewhat small screen so I did have to take some time to scroll one window on confirmation (narrowly missing getting Rulushin on a couple of attempts, I did get it later, though).
The other tip: go for the middle. -
It took me over 25 seconds to type a code wrong (as in I typoed it somewhere), then right, to get a working code on the first run this morning.
And that's just a guesstimate, but I know it wasn't "half a second". -
There's already been two entire threads on the Golden Age issue, one of them started by NS before he got shuffled to the "project". (Links incoming?)
-
If not right away, I'd like to see "clean" versions of this stuff down the road. The grit and dirt renders do take some of the versatility away from the set, IMO.

Premium accounts can buy the Signature Stories on the Paragon Market for an amount of points.
Praetoria and the rest of the Going Rogue expansion content is agreeably very good, but not very many people run it these days. Soloing it is doable but the difficulty curve is a little higher than average. -
It's disappointing that things didn't work out as well as it could have, but hopefully you guys will be able to come up with a good solution in the future.
I'll be trying my luck this Thursday! -
Quote:I'm not thinking so off of the top of my head. Here is my question now that I got that out of my system. If someone redeems a code is there anything that prevents them from redeeming a second one? I know the second one would not get them anything but they might do it just to "code-block" everyone else. Basically just a way to make sure that as few people succeed as they could.
Quote:Is there a way to put out a code that would work 50 times, 100 times or 300 times each? The one time codes seems like too much of a twitch contest and hope I picked the right one off the list gamble.
Love the effort! Love the game! Keep it up! -
As a fellow SG leader trying to get something similar off the ground again, I wish you luck!
-
A lot of the ones I've seen are part of some "Homestuck" inspired group but I could be wrong. One of my global friends does have a few of them, though.

When I finally got my code on the 6:30 (?) run, it probably took me around fifteen to twenty seconds in total to type everything out and confirm. Mind you, it was a this point where the amount of codes given out were increasing. The last run had something like... 30 codes in that pic? (It's a miniwall of text, anyway.)
If the code rush is going to be the adopted style for now, I'd like to see it stay at the every half hour approach like this week, but if anything increase the amount of codes given out. Start at ten or twenty and increase the list by five every posting. By the end, you'd be posting a list of 100 codes (or more) and would have given out in excess of 700 codes in total. If the CR team is wanting to make this a big thing, then simply increasing the numbers could be a viable solution.
Also, I'll throw in the request to please give away the Dark Matter aura again at the next TCT. -
For the record, I'm not too much of a fan of the code scramble, either, but I at least want to give our CRT credit for at least trying to find something that works. Last week's private tweets thing semi-worked, but there's the site limitation to work around.
Hopefully there's a happy medium in there somewhere. -
Forum handle essentially limits the contest to VIPs since Premium players can't send, receive or store private messages.
And I'm not sure how much people want to give out personal contact information, but I'd hazardly wager a "not really". -
(I believe it's the temp. power, not an actual costume set.)
-
It's not the Dark Matter aura this week, it's the Rulu-Shin costume. Well, I admit slight disappointment since I do want the aura and decided to jump into this thing a week late, but that's user's own fault, right? Let's see if they rotate it back in, since it's a hot item.
-
Well, I decided that I'm going to give this promotion thing (and Twitter) a shot today, if it's set to run.
-
I know that they mentioned that Medicine isn't getting alternate animations, but they should at least fix Stimulant/Injection's animation to prevent the device from floating in the air while the user holds nothing.
Other than that, all happy upside. -
Currently, there's no distinction between Free and Premium players on the forums. I'd personally like to see more of a distinction being made between the two groups: I'd personally be happy with allowing Premium members to (at the very least) participate in the server boards in addition to the All Access sections, but no more than that.
At the same time, I've done research into another MMO that does let former subscribers keep all of their forum access privileges even if they happen to lapse.
Whether or not this happens is hardly a dealbreaker for me considering I have other avenues open for at least connecting with supergroup friends, but it could be a huge boon for Premiums who regularly interact in their server communities and would rather continue to do so than be mixed in with the general All Access crowd. -
They wanted to make up for lost time because of the maintenance, so they handed out codes. It doesn't have any bearing on whether or not they still hand out any today once the account servers are back up.

Quote:Honestly, this aura would make more sense as an iMerit thing than falling down emotes and stopping to catch your breath.Thank you for those. I won't be able to get a code from Twitter, but maybe some day they'll be available with Astrals or Empyreans, as with other oddball auras. Or cash money, I suppose.
You're welcome! -
Pictures, for those wanting to see it. The second one is of Hit Streak, by the way!

Aww, they ended up giving out codes early to make up for the maintenance window.
That aura is something that I want, so I'm going to try and get it even though I hate quickfire reaction exercises for single-use codes like this. Having a promocode active for a timelimit (like what's been suggested elsewhere) might be a better option worth exploring in the future, perhaps. -
There was also the official reveal of the Dark Matter aura costume piece and the announcement of Twitter code giveaways every Thursday. They're also giving out codes at the upcoming Capecon player meet.
(EDIT: The first giveaway may or may not happen tomorrow since the Play NC service wil be down.)
