You necroed this thread just to plug Mids?
Notthatthereisanythingwrongwiththat... -
Oh, and having Leviathan Mastery is preferable because hey, puke!

As in, "A team of Crabs".
A couple of friends and I are running a trio of Crabs and it is amazingly fun. The stuff we steamroll without having any healers or tanks is... amazing (Who needs those outdated character roles, anyway?). We're in our 30s now, but I'd love to plan ahead my bids for IOs and such. So, my question is this:
There are many quite good solo Crab builds here on the forum, but they all naturally have a lot of typed defenses from IO sets. With three of us running TT:M, we really don't need to bother with that. This frees up a lot of room for fun. So, does anyone have a link to a build that is meant to be a "already maxed defenses" team Crab build? We'd like to have perma-pets, if possible without resorting to an Alpha slot for +recharge (we'll need that for -end). Also, any and all -resist procs would be great. I'm busily searching through Mids to help this, but a jumping point would be great.
Also, if you are on Virtue and see a gaggle of Caribbean Crabs running about, you've spotted us! -
Does this mean that I get to formulate arch-nemesis plots??

Niiiiiice.
First Post After A Red Hat? -
Argh! This is going to interfere with my Thor-like Thursdays*, Pre-Friday Preem Frys**, and my beloved Over-The-Humpday celebrations***!! Can't we all get along?
* Want to join? Get the Barbarian costume set and roll up a hammer melee character!
** Got an unsub friend? Have them log in their Premium characters and toss them on the barbie!!
*** Managed to get through Winesday? Thrilled that the weeked is only one short work day away but the pounding headache won't stop? Come to Pocket D and spam /em tea withe the gang and make never-fulfilled vows about never drinking that cheap merlot again!
**** I wish these were real! -
I should have mentioned my Radeon HD 5700 card, yeah.
I got the 11.9 last night and managed to play a bit, but I didn't join any teams. I did go full Ultramode though, and it was running rather well. More updates as events unfold. -
Thanks for the heads up! I was really getting tired of computer going to PANCAKE every 30 minutes of CoH.
-
Yep, same crash again. It just took a little longer.
New video card time? -
Update:
11.4 wasn't the cure-all that I'd hoped for. While other games ran just fine, CoH would inevitably crash my computer with a black screen and endless accessing of the hard drive until I rebooted manually. Frustrating to say the least (not to mention that half of Justice must want my head by now for bailing on iTrials and TFs unannounced).
But, after reading TJ's advice about Ambient Occlusion (whatever the heck it is), I turned it off and I was able to happily solo for about an hour before sleep with no incidents. I'm going to try to get into a group and see how it goes. -
I was careful to keep the size small in my GIS, so many I am messing up the link. Anyway, I was trying to use either:

or

But these and other icons weren't working. They're both supposedly exactly 100x100.
Edit: Odd, NOW it starts working. I don't get it. -
Quote:Apparently, according to the forums I'm not.
I'm being screwed. This is a slap in the face. This is not the way to retain me as a customer. Other people became VIP through much less effort. The devs don't listen. Don't pee your yellow name down my back and tell me its raining. This should have been included in Going Rogue. This is just a naked attempt to squeeze more money out of me. Other MMOs would have made me a VIP by now. The community team should be ashamed. I deserve a refund. This is like buying a sink and then one day the sink needs a new drain stopper because the peel from the banana split you ate yesterday got stuck in the screen but now your cable company wants to charge you for ESPN 3 and you won't be able to watch Jamaican hockey because you spent all your money on a new drain stopper and its all Home Depot's fault.
Actually, you're getting less than expected. -

If this arc had a Gabriel Knight reference in it, I'd pay good money for it.
-
To whichever Mod renamed this thread:
I love you. <3 -
I'll tell you what's unfair: I went through the whole arc and didn't ANY HAM.*
*I haven't done the TF -
-
this what happened in the last game i played name campers ruined it for everyone campin famous names and gold and just anything to harass there no extened maintenance there trying to catch the harasser and we pay for it so unless people don't let GM'S know of wrong doing's in the game it we ruin it and there we not be a COH IT WELL BE GONE TO THE PHILOTICS!!!!!!!

The 11.4 worked great. The only issue is that Ice Patch "blinks" some when I put it on non-flat surfaces. But... I'll take it.
Thanks people. -
This really is a fun GM to fight with a team.
-
I've been having the same issues, since mid-August. It's crippled my ability to do anything but solo on minimum graphics. I have a 10 month-old machine and I run other games just fine. It's driving me APE.
-
I am at my wits end and may murder my video card tonight.
So, CoX keeps freezing up for me when I am around a few other players, even if I put my graphics settings on "City of Stickmen". This is a new issue for me, that started around mid-August. I am tempted to blame my Radeon HD 5700 videa card, but I don't want to run out and drop $150 for nothing. I've tried reinstalling drivers (the last attempt actually made it worse) and CoH, but neither has helped. I thought maybe something was overheating, but CoX has even froze up for me within a couple minutes of switching on the machine, immediately logging in and porting to Pocket D.
Any thoughts? I'm hoping this is a software issue, so I can spend that big wad of cash buying up every last thing on Paragon Market that I don't have yet. -
This really is one of the best posts that I've seen here in years, and I concur wholeheartedly. Despite what any naysayers insist, CoX has the best general community of any MMO I've played -- and if there is any group of players that can open its arms and show new people to find the same wonder that we all have... it's us. We were all wide-eyed noobs once, but anyone reading this loves this game enough to *bother* reading this. This community can turn this influx of "freebies" into the kind of players we want in our supergroups. We don't have to run screaming for the VIP server.
