Edit: to clarify, ATI has it's positives...but CoH compatibility ain't one of 'em.
So what's the point of slapping a big AMD/ATi badge on the current splash screens? Even the Catalyst driver plugs this game. I really don't understand what the issue is with getting up-to-date support when Ultra Mode was written from the ground up with the support of AMD/ATi. Are their drivers really that poorly written/supported that nVidia can be first with multi GPU support without needing an official sponsorship?

Patch notes like these show that it is a constant cat and mouse game of finding exploits and patching them. AE just makes it way worse since it can be exploited on a larger scale. Linking tickets to reward merits would be a field day for the exploiters, IMO.

I remember farming 'cuda AV in Sharkhead (Shaper Cult mission?) for SOs back in the day when CoV first launched.

Can you describe how it works? Does your stealth radius drop?

I've only had this happen occasionally, most of the times my invis works but once in a blue moon a random mob will take a swipe at me even though I haven't aggro'd it.

Again, I will ask for the citation for your interpretation of this redname saying that trading beyond the cap is abuse. Whomever can show this first I will give that person 2B+1 inf. Otherwise this is just plain wrong and should stop being spread as fact.

Easy evidence to the contrary are all the posts in the market forum requesting trades over the cap, without any reprisal from the moderators.

The only thing that was said was the inf cap was there because the original design of the game had never envisioned players hitting the cap. The word abuse was never used.

How many Fantasy / Medieval themed MMO's are there?
How many sci-fi first person / third person shooters with online components are there?
How many Super-Hero MMO's are there?
I'm not sure where you decided that market saturation was the only deciding factor in making F2P models successful over subscription models. I believe that those factors probably are multivariate in nature and not able to be summarized by one factor only.

This may be an interesting read for F2P conversions

I'm pretty sure all games compete for the player's dollar and attention, so narrowing the field to super hero MMOs isn't quite as reflective a model to the real world as you propose. Otherwise, this game could have set the subscription price at $100/month when it launched.

I'm in North America and I've had this happen to me twice before. It is possible that it could be related to the logout issue that you mention (some people have mentioned it in that thread as well).

  9. No thanks. I'm happy with the way things are now. Changing things to PBAoEs means that the endurance use goes way up and I can't change who gets what/when.

Losing a single pet means guarantees that I have to choose between losing more pets before recasting or else sacrificing a huge chunk of endurance to get back up to snuff.

Also speed boost and FF are fine the way they are. Changing them to AoE would mean that they would probably get 'looked at' in a bad way. I have no problems putting speed boost on my teammates manually. Did that since I joined and continue doing it now without complaint.

As the theory goes the Devs of games like this want to make sure it's relatively hard to make a female character look like a child for the purposes of discouraging people from doing naughty things to them. The Devs don't want to get complaints from parents about being able hurt (physically or sexually) characters that look like young girls. Thus the easiest way to prevent that is to force everyone to have very obvious adult-looking breasts on our females even at the smallest settings.

Personally I'd hate to think we were not allowed to have realistically flat female chests because the Devs are worried about a handful of perverts out there. But all things considered I'm betting they aren't too upset that circumstances have allowed them to dodge that bullet regardless.
If that is a valid argument about american mores then the MPAA has already won. Wait a minute. Nevermind.

So much for little girls being super powered in this game.

Funny that I had to repost the image since the original URLs got munged because of the A double S triggering the profanity filter.

I would guess that this is exactly the reason why tickets were implemented in the first place. Using tickets allows them to firewall developer content from user content such that the reward merits etc won't get skewed by the ticket system. Bridging them directly would remove the firewall, which would take away any reason for the tickets raison d'etre.

giving out 10 merits for one mission? it's not a bad Idea when that mission takes as long as a TF to solo.
I remember seeing a guy solo some crazy farms in 15 minutes or less. He was able to power level his lowbees to 50 in the same time that you had quoted (or less). I shudder to think how many tickets he was raking in, and if he was able to convert them to merits it would be lolmerits.

Not bad, but if it was reversed (onto the MM) that would make it simpler to see how much damage is being split, kind of like a fulcrum shift buff. I guess plunking a BG shield on the relevant pet would help too.

Eg., a MM would have 3 BG shield icons and each pet in BG mode and range would have 1 BG shield each (3 in total), and all other pets not in BG mode/range would not have shields.

(Nothing changes looking at the combat attributes, either.)
True, it's just a damage split, but I don't know how many level 50 Masterminds I've seen getting repeatedly 1 shotted/dotted and me rezzing them. Asking after the 3rd or 4th death if they are in BG mode and getting the 'huh?' makes it painfully clear that there isn't enough clarity about BG mode for people to understand, especially if the combat attributes don't show it either.
